I've never experienced that level of immediate attentiveness and it reminded me of texting a close friend for a spur of the moment plan that they're always down for. Liz then continued the close friends vibe in person during my wax. You always know you're going to literally expose your private parts during a Brazilian wax but Liz was so personable and sweet that I basically exposed my inner personal journey to her in like 15 minutes. That was the quickest and most comfortable wax I've ever gotten. It's been a few weeks now and I normally get ingrown hairs but she waxed so cleanly that I STILL have barely any growth *and* no ingrowns. Liz is the hair(y) godmother haha

This is now my place. I'll definitely be back--pub intended. :)

Waxing at Karve is really thorough, not rushed, great cleanliness. Amazing spray tan options too, I tried a rapid spray tan for a vacation, Karen was super patient explaining the process and the results were great. Highly recommend!

So I didn't have my hopes set too high with miniluxe. BUT! I was wrong - Tammy made me feel **especially** taken care of. It's one of the few times I genuinely felt like I was getting pampered at a nail salon for a simple mani???? Plus, I loved the ease of booking a next day spot online and also, there were so many times to choose from. I accidentally tipped 50% but it was such a great experience I was like "what the hell, sure". Thanks Tammy!!!

If you're debating choosing miniluxe over your neighborhood nail salon, just save your time and…read moremoney and choose the latter. I was gifted a gift card of $100, over half of which was spent on the basic pedicure. First of all, the seating for the pedicure was awkward and uncomfortable. You are sat up on a tall bench, directly next to other customers with barely any space between you for a handbag. If you're older or have mobility issues, don't even bother. And don't expect any massage features on your chair, these are just cushion benches. The nail polish looked fine, but they hardly worked on the rest of my feet, leaving dead skin hanging from my heels and debris around my cuticles. I get my feet done once a month so they weren't terrible to begin with, but I swear my feet themselves almost looked worse after this! And here's my final straw. I looked away for just a few minutes trying to relax, and I look back down to find my toenails have been shaped in complete circles. For those of you that have ever suffered from an ingrown toenail, I'm sure you are wincing right now. About a week post-pedicure, I'm suffering from an ingrown nail that's a direct result of poor training. For $52 plus another $10 for tip, this was ridiculous. I can't speak to their manicures, but if you're in the market for a pedicure, Boston is full of places where you'll pay a fraction of the price, get a back massage while you wait, and not have to soak your toe in epson salts for a week!
