Liz does do a good job and is easy to book appointments with. Just texting back and forth which is so easy and convenient. She will also try to squeeze you in and is very accommodating. First time I went for waxing it had been the first time I had gone in a while so it really hurt and I needed breaks but she barley gave me any and was going so fast I figured It's probably better anyway. The second time I was actually bleeding because my skin was dry where she pulled but she still kept going which hurt like hell. What I realized is she is booking for 15 min where other places book you for 30 min so that's why she goes quickly. The massage therapist is beyond awesome. Literally one of the best massages I have ever had. However, there is zero spa ambiance. It was like having a massage in a crowded bar. I hope Djiana only leases space from this location as she is worthy of a much better location. Other employees and customers at Liz on E need to be much more considerate of other patrons. I had a gilt city here for eyelash extensions, I got them for my honeymoon to Europe, they look awesome! I told Liz I wanted them to look natural and just a little longer than they already were. Really don't want to bash a local small business but I also don't want any other women to have my same awful experience with lash extensions here. It was my first time ever getting extensions, so I didn't know what to expect. I left the salon thinking they were way too long for me but they look ok from far away, and maybe I'll get used to them. I did get compliments from people on them looking nice....but they were so uncomfortable and up close were very clumpy at the base of my lashes. Now having spoken to others about what lash extensions are supposed to be like, and getting mine removed and redone elsewhere, I realize how bad these were. They were SO clumpy. Liz uses cluster lashes, not singles. Most of my extensions were glued to 3+ of my natural lashes and used a ton of glue which I think is what caused all the clumping. I ended up ripping most of them out myself and tearing out a lot of my natural lashes in the process, but they were just so heavy and uncomfortable, and everytime I looked closely in the mirror I was grossed out by the clumpiness. I couldn't get all the glue out myself so I went to another salon where they were horrified at the amount of glue stuck to my lashes themselves as well as my lash line. They were also shocked at the length and thickness of the extensions used on me, and told me my lashes weren't naturally strong enough to hold those up. From the sounds of other reviewers, the other services here are great...but I've only had experience with the lashes and will never go back. read more

Haven't written a review in a long time, but I have to write about what a good massage I had with Dijana. Really one of the best massages I have had, great pressure, and she actually paid close attention to the problem spots I mentioned, unlike big chains where I often feel like they ask, then give the exact same massage every time anyway. The space is small and you won't have a full "spa experience" like you do at Bliss or Exhale, but the massage was just as good or better. Minus one star (should be half really) because you can hear what's going on outside your room. Wasn't an issue for me as someone only came in right at the end of my massage but I think it could be annoying to listen to someone talking throughout my massage. I came because of a Gilt City voucher but I will be back and pay full price, well worth it. read more
