I've had lashes before and wasn't super thrilled with the application or how long they held up, so I did extensive research to find the best possible place this time around. Cherise and I discussed what length of lashes I'd like, and how dramatic I'd like them to be and we got down to business. As Yelp had been featuring a deal for $60 for $100 I decided to go for the second longest lash extension option, which I believe was marketed as $349 (for the synthetic Xtreme lashes). Maybe pricier than your $60 Ktown job, but definitely worth the value. She laid me down on her super comfy massage bed and set to work (after applying a cooling undereye strip to hold down my bottom lashes and removing my makeup). During the middle of the application I had to use the bathroom, and she told me to check out the lashes while I was there to see if I wanted them any longer or curlier. I did want a little more length and drama, so she added longer lashes for the last half. These lashes have lasted over 4 weeks and look INCREDIBLE. They are so natural looking and have held up through a week trip to Miami (during which I swam in the ocean, pool, went on a super windy airboat ride in the everglades, etc) and then back at home through excessive heat, more beach trips, and daily super sweaty work outs. I also haven't felt the need to use mascara or strip lashes since I've gotten these extensions applied. I will DEFINITELY be coming back for refills, great conversation, and laughter. Cherise is the best. Best value, best environment, best lashes.

I have had them before, but at a spa/salon in Swampscott (had a Groupon!), and they lashes would fall out in clumps and just looked a mess. My first impressions of the store was - WOW, it is TINY! I wonder where my extensions will take place! It happened to be in a nook of the room behind the cashier's desk, but the adjustable spa bed was pretty comfortable, and although it was a small space, I was still comfortable! At this point, my eyelashes were very short like they were cut off because of the damage done to them from the other spa's poor work. Amy asked me a few questions on how I would like my eyelashes - natural? Was this a one time thing for an event, etc? I wanted them to be natural looking, but long enough so that they were alluring. Amy did exactly that! She spent 2 hours gluing eyelashes on each of my short broken eyelashes. Amy = eyelash saver. And the receptionist/saleswoman/cashier at the front was also SUPER friendly. Since it was at 11am on a Saturday, it was really just the 3 of us in the store, but it felt like the 2 hours was only 20 minutes because we were all cracking jokes, laughing and just shooting the breeze. They were easy going, funny and very friendly. 3 weeks later, I went back for my refill - the eyelashes held up really well, and the refill only took 30-40 minutes and the place has SO MUCH good stuff (skincare, hand lotion, make up, etc). Amy really knows her stuff as she's been in the makeup/skincare/cosmetic industry for decades, although she looks so young!!!!!! Anyway, enough of this. I am quite sad to say that EVERY last one of the lash extensions have fallen out by day 14. I have gotten lash extensions before in Japan, where retention was for 62 days. I don't know if the issue is with the prep process, the glue used, technique, or federal regulations, but I cannot justify having paid over $100 for 2 weeks of wear. To be fair, this is the first time I've gotten lashes done in the US so maybe this is commonplace. But, I can't commit to returning for fills every 2 weeks for $100 per session, when the lashes would basically be in need of an entirely new set by that point.
