I paid 130 for gelx nails + design + removal. I'm okay with the fact that it took over 2.5 hours, but what bothered me was that she told me it would be an extra 10 dollars, a hidden fee, for the fact that I was removing gelx nails. On her website, there is an option for $120 gelx nails + design and $130 gelx nails + design + removal, but she was saying how after I had already paid (when I got the nails done), when it was time for me to get them removed a couple of weeks later, it would be an extra ten dollars. It felt like I was being scammed, and I just ended up taking them off myself. Half of going to a nail salon is the service, and this was very dissatisfying. They had sooo many cute nail colors and designs as well so I want to come back for sure to try that out. I nail tech was a young girl. Although she was very nice, she was not experienced enough to do a professionally pedicure and charge full price. I paid $70 just for a gel pedicure, 10 dollars to cuts my toe nails. I asked her not to cut them too short and she didn't listen. The paint application was the only thing I had hope for and the quality was poor. This whole process took 1 hour and 20 minutes. I wasn't going to write a review, but Yelp prompted me to. The space was beautiful and Kelly was very nice. Unfortunately, this was the first pedicure I ever had where I had to go home, take off the polish, and start over. I paid extra for a higher level of service, plus callous removal, plus dazzle dry polish. $115 total. I still had a ton of rough dry skin on my feet at the end, my nails were cut too short, and not much care was given the cuticles, so they looked dry and rough at the end. She must have only used one coat of polish, because it was pretty streaky. I was surprised and disappointed. I've had lots of pedicures, and even though my feet are not great, they're not the worst, either. Not sure what went wrong, but I will try somewhere else next time I am in Boston. read more

I've been trying out many different salons for eyelash extensions over the past few years, and this is by far my favorite. After a fairly bad experience with the last lash extension place I tried, I looked for another salon that was more convenient for me. I found out about K beauty through Groupon and I was excited that this place was so close to me and I hadn't even known. The best way to get in touch with Kelly (the owner) is to text the number on her Yelp page. K Beauty is located inside La Gala beauty salon and when I first walked in, I wasn't sure where to go, but the man at the front desk seemed to know exactly what I wanted before I even opened my mouth. He pointed me around the corner to a bench where I sat down and waited for Kelly. K beauty is a fairly small room with one station, but that makes it more comfortable, at least for me. It's intimate and private which puts me at ease. Her pricing is fair, considering the quality of her work. I got the full lash set via Groupon, but refills are $49 within 2 weeks and $59 between 2-3 weeks, and she doesn't do refills beyond 3 weeks. The best part is that she takes payment via Venmo which makes it easier for folks like me that don't carry cash and don't want to use credit cards. These lashes look so visibly full and beautiful, and they also last SO long, which is what makes me keep coming back. I hope Kelly stays around forever! read more

I went to K-Beauty to get lash extensions for the first time. Kelly made me feel welcome and warm and asked me questions to make sure to know what I wanted. I got the classic set with the most natural-looking lash curl. Because it was my first time, I wasn't sure what type of curl I really wanted and when I was done, I didn't really like the way the curl came out. After I left, I promptly called Kelly and told her if she would be able to switch my set, and she told me to come in later that night and she would happily switch the set I had on for a completely new set of lashes that were more curled.
