Andrea, at EyeStarr did my lashes for my wedding 7 years ago for the first time. I got my lashes done because I was getting married back home in Rio de Janeiro and didn't want to fuss around with false lashes. Here we are seven years later and I'm still getting my lashes done every month. After two months, I was hooked! Lash extensions are so beautiful and addictive when done correctly. Andrea and Casey are extremely patient, professional and really care about the quality of their work. After all these years of getting lash extensions, I have no lash damage. This says a lot about their technique and care. I highly recommend them. My lashes look natural, beautiful and proportional to my natural features. I'm so happy I found them years ago. For sure, one of the things I missed most during quarantine was my lash extensions! Side note, I now drive from CT to Boston to get my lashes done. I'm telling you, it's worth it! You don't want just anyone messing with your lashes. read more

I've been coming here for over a year and both Andrea and Casey are fantastic! They both are super courteous, helpful and good at making recommendations on what is best for my lashes and brows. I moved out here from Cali last summer and had reservations about finding a new place to get my lashes done. They won me over quickly. I am always getting compliments on my lashes and asked if they are real because they look so beautiful and natural. I always tell the strangers that walk up they should give they a try. You should too;) read more

Both Andrea & Casey do a very nice job for lash extensions. I always leave there happy! I've been having extensions on and off for about 6 months now and every time I give my lashes a break, they're super healthy and in the same condition as before. I also use Andrea's lash serum/conditioner and it helps my lashes grow very healthy. Love this place, the vibe and their work! read more

I had a fantastic experience with Eyestarr and specifically Casey. They text me back after leaving a VM and we were able to figure out a time that worked best. Even squeezed me in before the holidays since I had a bunch going on and limited availability. The best part was that I've gotten eyelash extensions before from other companies/individuals and they did not a. work to understand what I was actually looking for and then B. Actually give me that like Casey did. I absolutely loved what I walked out with and love them just as much a week later now. I wanted my lashes to look great and be enhanced but not be so incredible noticeable that they are fake. Could not be happier. Two thumbs up. read more

I recently got a lash lift from EyeStarr after purchasing a Gilt City voucher. I typically get my eyelashes permed but have been reading about lash lifts and decided to give it a shot. I have really short and straight lashes. I get the perms because it gives me the illusion of length and the look of having my lashes curled and looks extra long when i apply mascara. My lash perms typically last me 5-6 weeks. Its been 3 weeks since my lift and my lashes are looking barely curled at all. Putting on mascara doesn't really help either. I am a bit disappointed in the lift and wish the technician had been a little more meticulous about making sure my lashes were "combed" as much as they could be. She told me the lift is much prettier than perm but when i looked at the finished product, i couldn't help but be a bit disappointed in her job. I wish I had said something at the time but was pressed on time as I had plans afterward. So I said they look great and left. Although I am not sure they would have been able to do anything much more. The space is very small open. You don't have private rooms which is fine. Conversations are constant and if you are looking for something relaxing, this isn't the place. overall, I wil stick with my usual place for perms. read more

If you, like me, have bad reactions to eyebrow waxing, this is the place for you. Their brow shaping is amazing. They have used tweezers and scissors to shape my brows and to be honest, it's the best. I get a very natural look, but they completely clean and shape your eyebrows. I go before any big event (my wedding, my sister's wedding, and anywhere I might be heavily photographed) and I feel like a total star. You will also feel like you're getting the Starr treatment because the space is quite small with only 2 chairs/beds. An appointment is necessary! read more

Casey did a half set of lash extensions on me and I am super happy! She is so sweet and personable. I would definitely recommend for eyelash extensions! read more

EyeStarr by Andrea - Hair Removal Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

I know.. another 5 star review for Andrea. But the glowing reviews are warranted! Andrea is a miracle worker who transforms your face armed with nothing more than glue and a pair of tweezers (luscious mink lashes help). Having lash extensions put in is one step in your beauty regime that you do not want to scrim on and Andrea is the real deal. Her skills were honed through years of experience. She is quick and thorough and listens carefully to what you tell her (whether specific requests or just concerns and fears) and uses lashes of various length, thickness, and curliness to customize the perfect look for you. The result is a twinkly smile and eyes that sparkle even for someone with the shortest, thinnest lashes that point straight down normally (why hello there!) A couple of quick tips for newbies- shower in the morning on the day of your appointment so you don't have to risk getting your new set of lashes wet within 24 hours; if you're a contact lens wearer, you might feel some discomfort in the shower as water can get trapped in your new lashes (weird but true) so do not wear lenses in the shower if you can help it. Also, ladies- support a local woman with her own business! Especially when Andrea is just the nicest, sweetest lady. read more

I normally am not one to leave a bad review, but my last experience with EyeStarr was less than stellar. I felt that my presence was somehow an inconvenience to the lash artist; I was not handled with care and the quality did not meet my expectations. My lashes turned out fine, but compared to the other lash places in the Boston area, it really just isn't worth the money to come here and be treated like I am not valued. I will not be returning. read more

Andrea is just as wonderful as everyone here says she is. She's sweet, funny, and so meticulous. I've gotten full sets of lashes twice now around wedding-related events and for my wedding and honeymoon and they made me feel so great. It's pretty surreal what some lash extensions can do for your face, particularly in photos. Oh and her new place on Newbury is adorable. read more

Perfectly located on Newbury Street, if you need somewhere trusted to go with your brows, go here! One room, with two side-by-side treatment chairs and that's about it. Contemporary and trendy decor, amazing smelling candle and magazines to read while you wait, you can't go wrong. I went for a brow shaping/wax and they did a great job. They took lots of care to wax in portions so as to actually shape my brow, finishing with tweezing and filling in with pencil. Pricey, as far as brows go, but I trusted them to do it right and they did. Check Gilt City for any deals -- that's how I found them. read more

I took a 3 yr hiatus from getting my lashes done because I just couldn't keep up with getting them filled every month. I went back to Andrea to get a full set put on for my upcoming bachelorette party and subsequent wedding. The new space on Newbury is gorgeous! I was a client of hers when she first started out, so to see her growth is so wonderful. I am SO happy with my gorgeous lashes. Andrea is the BEST. read more

There was a Gilt city deal so decided to give this place a try. My technician finished a full set in 40 mins, which means she rushed through the process because it usually takes 1-1.5 hrs to complete a full set. On top of that, her technique was off. She put way too much glue so you can see small chunks of dried glue at the root of the lashes and some even stuck on my eyelid, which hurt when I brushed my lashes. When lashes are applied correctly, they blend in with your real lashes so you can't even tell there are extensions. Most importantly, when she was done, i couldn't open my eyes because there was so much glue stuck on my lashes. She had to help remove some of the glue/brush my lashes so that I can open my eyes. I removed them within a week to not risk losing too many of my real lashes. What a bad experience and would not recommend read more

I can't speak for the lash extensions, but I have gotten three lash lifts here over the past couple of months. Two out of the three times, I felt as if I didn't even get a lift done. I really wanted to give this place a chance because both of the technicians are so sweet. However, if you are looking to get a lash lift done, I would recommend to look elsewhere. read more

Andrea did a great job with my lashes. They were full and natural looking and didn't affect my natural lash.

Andrea (former manager of Luxluash) says that lashes can transform the face and it's completely true. I can't imagine my life without my lash extensions and I don't want to. I've seen other "lash extensions" that look clumpy and unnatural, her work is nothing like that. I love that I can wake up and not really need makeup, and my eyes look 100% better in photos. The lashes are also easy to care for and stay looking fresh for at least a month. Andrea is a perfectionist in her work and also fun to chat with while you relax for an hour with your eyes closed :) read more

I honestly feel bad giving one star for the lash lift...because it doesn't even deserve that. I went today for a lift and tint, seemed to go well during the appointment - she didn't talk at all while it was developing so I thought that was kind of weird. But the kicker for me was when she said "normally this works by the second or third time you come" AS SHE SCRAPED THE SHIT out of my eyes because she painted my whole damn lid with the tint. Loved walking out with lashes that we're straight as nails and two black eyes because she didn't get the tint off....don't worry though! You can definitely get them wet after 24 to 48 hours (because "sometimes it still lifts when you leave"). Lash lift + tint, $130. Some lady on bus giving you a pep talk because it makes you look like you cried off all your makeup, PRICELE$$. I do have to say, some lady's eyelash extensions by Andrea looked great...just don't get the lift and tint... unless you think it's worth $130 to walk out the with the same eyelashes as before and only the slight addition of two raccoon eyes. read more

Andrea of EyeStarr is truly amazing! I've had lashes put on in the past but they've never seem to last. I've heard about Andrea from friends so I gave it a try. It's been a whole week and my lashes are still in place and they beautiful. No touch up needed at all! My lashes look so natural and everything about them are great. The length is not too long which can make it look fake and the volume is not too thick but just the way I like them. Thank you so much Andrea, I cannot thank you enough!! If you're looking for the perfect lashes, Andrea is DEFINITELY your go to person! Please feel free to contact me for references if you need. read more

I honestly even know where to begin explaining the wonderful service that Andrea and her team at EyeStarr provide. First impression walking in is now SUPER cute it is in there! The next thing you get is a super sweet and genuine welcome from Andrea and the girls that work along side her (when they are there.) Andrea is so beautiful and so easy to chat with and be around, makes the hour or so you are with her (with your eyes taped shut) so enjoyable. Now most importantly, the lashes!!!!! There is a big difference between lash extensions and lash styling. EyeStarr provides master lash styling in a way that best suits your lifestyle, wishes, and existing lashes! It's totally customized and I love it. I've had mine for 3 weeks and have only lost a few.... If anything they are getting longer Bc my own lashes are growing out with them attached! I get so many compliments even now 3 weeks out, and that's what's prompting this review. I also want to say that I'm a fellow beauty industry professionals. I'm a Maser Esthetician, working on Newbury St... And am lash extension certified. I don't do them Bc it's not my passion. I specialize in in depth skin care treatments and brows. Andrea is "Best of Boston" Bc she is so passionate about what she does, and that's who you want doing your service. I've sent MANY of my clients who have inquired about lashes to her even before meeting her Bc all of my clients that already had great lashes done always seemed to have them done by her! I'm so glad to now say I am her client as well! Could not recommend her more. read more

I have been a client of Andrea's for almost 2 years now, and she is the best in the business. I decided to try lashes in 2013 since my natural lashes are blonde, and I usually have to load on the mascara and curl them etc.. After my first installation by Andrea I was HOOKED! I wear significantly less makeup with my perfect, soft, full lashes, and feel beautiful from the moment I wake up in the morning! Not only do I not have to apply loads of mascara anymore, I also don't have to wear eyeliner. The lashes photograph beautifully, and really make your face more youthful, and your eyes big and bright. I don't know how I lived without them before! I have since moved to NYC from Boston, and I still travel monthly to see Andrea to have her touch up my lashes. It has never been a problem for me to go 4-6 weeks with my lashes, due to Andrea's precision and expertise. The investment in her top notch work is worth it. Not only is her lash work exceptional, but my hour long visits with Andrea are like a catch up session with my long lost friend. Andrea truly cares about her clients, and she is such a pleasure to be around. Her sweet little boutique on Newbury is the perfect place to rest for an hour, chat with Andrea, and before you know it you are opening your eyes to beautiful lush lashes! Ugh... scheduling my next appt. now :) read more

I have gone to Casey at Eyestarr twice now. She is so great! Always on time and professional. I had previously gone to Benefit for years, and after 2 sessions with Casey my brows already look much better than they ever have. The space is small but very cute. I am debating getting the lash treatment at some point just because I'm sure it will be amazing. Highly recommend! read more

Made an appointment with Kacey who was friendly but not happy with her application technique. The lashes were not striaght and glue was clumpy. Andrea was pleasant and professional, rescheduled my appointment free of charge. I have over 3 years of experience getting my lashes done. So I know quality work, unfortunately this touch up is not worth the $70/ 30 min appointment I paid for. read more

I have long lashes but would never curl. I spent years trying different eyelash curlers, mascara and primers. After lots of money spent on trying the latest mascara and primers, I gave up. I needed a new option and began researching eyelash extensions. Knowing nothing about them, I went online and found an eyelash expert who had fantastic reviews. I could not have been happier with my choice. Andrea is not only extremely professional, but very informed. She worked with me so that I could obtain the look I wanted. I enjoy going to each appointment not only to get my lashes filled but I truly enjoy her company. She is bubbly, kind and most importantly makes you look like a STAR. If you are looking for high quality lashes that last, GO TO ANDREA. read more

Andrea does a beautiful job, no question. At first, I thought I'd just do lash extensions for fun. But Andrea's work looks so natural, I can't stop going. She uses lovely, thin, long, light lashes instead of thick heavy ones--just enough for friends and family to notice something's different, but not enough for them to figure it out. Her studio is fresh and relaxing (though you spend most of your time there with your eyes closed). Very convenient location, too. She's also a delight to spend an hour with. One more thing: Let her do your eyebrows. She offered to do mine after a few lash sessions, I reluctantly said yes (I like a natural look), and man, was I impressed. read more

Absolutely loved my experience at EyeStarr! Making an appointment was super easy and the communication was great. The space was nicely decorated and both the girls were so welcoming! My appointment was with Casey for a full set of lashes and brow shaping. I have had lash extensions before and this was by far the best experience in both application and quality. My lashes have looked full and beautiful for weeks. So happy I found this spot! The hidden gem of this place was the brow service. She really listened to my concerns and took her time with them. I will definitely be returning for a fill and the brow service! Thank you EyeStarr!! read more

Not a quality experience, and overpriced. Environment is awkward, cramped, and unwelcoming and stylists do a poor job isolating the eyelashes which results in clumpy extensions and damage to natural lashes. There are competitors on the same street that offer better services at half the price and are far more welcoming. Luckily, Rise was able to fit me in on short notice and fix my eyelashes after a bad experience at Eyestarr. read more

Such an amazing place. Andrea and her associate are both amazing at what they do. I am so satisfied with their work and wish they were closer so I could take advantage of regular services. But in the mean time, this is truly an awesome place. It's not big, but feels like a very exclusive salon. It's tucked away on Newbury steer but easy to find if you're looking for it. They also do brow work and regularly run specials on Gilt (which is awesome). The attention to detail is remarkable and they really care about what you think. They will also spend the time to make sure that the extensions are attached in a way so as not to harm your natural lashes. I didn't think I would want to keep my eyes closed for that long but it was so relaxing. Completely painless, and concerned about your needs (allergies, etc). They also provide great after care advice. read more

Eye Starr really is in a league of it's own. I used to go there regularly for brow waxing when I lived in the area and Andrea was always extremely friendly and accommodating. She's good at keeping relatively on schedule (and for having only one person working at a time, that's pretty impressive). Her decor is beautiful and classy. She really tries to remember the details from her regulars and makes the effort to get to know her new clients. I hadn't been there in a while since I moved, but saw a Gilt offer for a full-set plus touch up that I bought on a whim. Unfortunately, I completely forgot about the voucher until about two days before it expired, and Andrea couldn't get back to me with an appt until after it expired. She still honored the voucher, even though apparently Gilt does not honor her portion after its expiration (its at her discretion to still let me USE it, but she will not be compensated for it by Gilt). My eyelashes feel light as air and look so amazing. I'm super thankful that she still let me use my voucher, and I'm so impressed with my lashes! Note: She is super easy to schedule with through TEXT, which I love!! read more

The best!! I travel for my work every 3 months to a new location around the country so unfortunately I have to change lash girls frequently. With that being said, I have had lots of experience and I've been doing eyelash extensions for a year and half now. Casey is one of the best I've had for lash extensions and eyebrow shaping! I was devastated having to leave her. Not only is she amazing but EyeStarr is top shelf. She and Andrea are gems and I absolutely love this place! Thank you for the awesome service while I stayed in Boston! :D read more

The BEST lashes in Boston by far. So knowledgeable and precision of a surgeon. I refuse to go anywhere else!!!

I have been seeing Andria for lash extensions now for several months and have gotten totally hooked on them. She does a beautiful and careful job that lasts for several weeks. Her studio is lovely and comfortable. She worked very hard to open her own place on Newbury street and all her success is so well deserved. She is fun to chat with or to just fall asleep while she does her eyelash magic while your eyes are closed. I highly recommend her and wouldn't think of going anywhere else! read more

It is rare that I post reviews, but given how much I love my lash extensions, I felt compelled to spread the word :). I've been a client of Andrea's for over a year now and have nothing but great things to say! Prior to getting lash extensions, I was somewhat skeptical (as I didn't want them to look fake), but I was amazed at how natural Andrea made them look...and they last for weeks!! Andrea's work is meticulous and it is apparent she takes great pride in making her clients look their best... Each time I visit her salon (which is super cozy and relaxing), I leave feeling refreshed and confident...with long, thick lashes!! Needless to say, I am hooked for life :-) read more

I feel terrible doing this bc I think Andrea is a nice person but these were THE WORST eye lash extensions I have ever had. Clumps and clumps and clumps of lashes glued together and to my skin. I was in so much pain. Thank goodness I found a lady who removed them today. Took her 1 hr 40 mins to remove the lashes to give you an idea of how bad the situation was. read more

I recently moved back to the Boston area from California where I had discovered and fell in love with eyelash extensions. After a few bad experiences locally, I found Andrea. Wow! Thank you Andrea - you are The Best. read more

Andrea is a true pro. My lashes look fantastic first thing in the morning so skipping the full make-up some mornings is just fine. I have gone to EyeStarr for two lash extensions, which I was thrilled with. One was for my wedding, and I could not have gotten more compliments on the long natural look of my lashes. I have also had my eyebrows done by Andrea, which I was very happy with!! Each time, I felt like it was a very enjoyable, personal experience. EyeStarr's space on Newbury Street is cozy and they have tasteful decor with lots of sunlight. But what I am most excited about is their recently launched beauty product line!! I recently purchased Eyestarr's Lash Growth Serum and their Coconut Rosewater facial mist. I have already noticed a difference in the length of my lashes but what I also personally find incredible is the softness of my lashes. They were extremely dry prior to using the lash serum, so I'm looking forward to continuing this regimen. The Cococut Rosewater is so refreshing, it smells so good and you'll find yourself spraying it on your face whenever you can. It keeps my skin hydrated and fresh! I apply it every morning and before bed. You HAVE to try it!! I've also learned there will be a kids line of skincare. I will certainly be interested in those products for my daughter! read more
