The half Apple strudel, dessert doesn't get better than this!
    Edward K.

Reinhold's is a great bakery. I should have reviewed it years ago. They've supplied the grand finale to every Oktoberfest dinner my family has hosted. They make an Apple strudel that is truly memorable. As in, my friend and I talk about it from time to time, just waiting to have it again. Well, today was the day, my friend and his family were over and I picked up the Apple strudel. I didn't take any chances, you have to get there early (or order it ahead of time) to make sure they have it. Half a strudel is enough for four diners, you'll wish you got the whole thing! The texture is immaculate, crisp and tender, flaky and unctuous. The flavor is perfection, the apples have reached the peak of their potential. It was everything we remembered and then some! The "risk" you run when you walk into Reinhold's for the strudel is that you come out with much more. The "yum yums" that they sell live up to their name, the butter crumb danish was ridiculously good, the almond horns are fantastic. It's an incredible array of treats. Highly recommend you get yourself the Apple strudel and compound it with some other selections, you'll be glad you did!

They do not use peanuts but they definitely use nuts (tree nuts). I wish they were more helpful with my ingredient questions.

Enjoyed a lovely German Chocolate cake that was scrumptious. It's rare to find a true bakery these days, and this is a good one.

I don't live close by to it, so it takes some planning. They're known for their sourdough donuts so I had to have one, even though I'm lactose intolerant. Ordered the orange-pistachio cream doughnut on Ohhh my yumness -- it was SO good. Not really sweet/ definitely not overly sweet, which is so elegant. Not everyone gets the sugar balance on point but I'm a huge fan of their flavor balance. Could really taste the orange OR pistachio, maybe a hint of the pistachio, but no complaints at all. Every bite was really very enjoyable What WERE super duper sweet though were the staff :). Also no complaints there :) The coffee was also really good, too! You know how sometimes a bakery can be really good at some items but their beverages leave much to be desired? Not the case here. Space is cute and small but not small? There is a small dining room in the back. The decor is also "just right" whimsical.

They also have a chocolate shop next door. When I walked inside of the bakery, I felt transported to a pastry shop in France. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was super busy. Service was quick and efficient. I ordered a latte and a scone. The scone was very delicious and fresh. My boyfriend ordered a frozen hot chocolate and a chocolate éclair. I tried a bit of the éclair and we both agreed that it was the star of the show. I normally am not a big éclair person but this one was so chocolatey and rich. It was filled with this creamy, fresh chocolate filling. I strongly dislike the store bought cream filling that they are usually piped with. We sat at one of the little tables on the sidewalk outside since the weather was nice. I will be back if I am in the area and in the mood for a sweet treat!

We snagged one as people were getting up. I got a napoleon and another dessert that was chocolate mouse with Carmel and a biscuit cookie on the bottom. It was soo good. Really fluffy but also creamy and rich. Highly recommend this place if you love chocolate! I spent near $30 for a small hot chocolate, a cookie, pastry and mini cake. So it is expensive! But worth it once in a while. And they have a bathroom in the back!

You'll have a leisurely experience. The food overall is pretty good, and portions are regular sized, not large. I enjoyed the loaded eggs with potatoes and the huevos rancheros. We didn't like the eggs with corned beef hash, which consisted of rather large ham chunks. The orange and plain scones were crumbly and yummy. Now that they offer online reservations, I'm more inclined to visit because otherwise you risk showing up and having to wait (or leaving) because it's a small space. You can dine inside our outside under their awning which is lovely in nice weather. We opted to sit inside. The tables on the side we sat were definitely tight and close together. The food was phenomenal. I order the brioche French toast with home fries and two eggs over easy. Happy because they use real maple syrup at this spot. My home fries I asked to be well done and crunchy but they came out a bit mushy but still edible. My friend ordered their weekly special of a pumpkin spice waffle and she said it was delicious. Their coffee was average. Nothing special. The only thing I couldn't figure out was my brioche French toast or the syrup tasted like amaretto which wasn't that big of an issue I would've just liked to know it was flavored. Service was good as it was crazy busy but we still felt well taken care of. I look forward to my next meal here.
