While I understand that businesses have a right to set security measures, the way this was enforced made me and my friend feel as though we were suspected of theft before even browsing the items. Spending money at a store should be a welcoming experience. Instead, the requirement felt degrading and created an atmosphere of distrust from the very first moment. It is disheartening to be treated with suspicion simply for wanting to shop. Because of this negative interaction and the feeling of being treated as a potential thief, I will not be returning to this establishment. I will also be sharing my experience with friends and family to ensure others are aware of this policy before they plan their visit. If you are planning to go, be prepared to surrender your personal items before you can even look at the merchandise. It is a significant barrier that changes the entire vibe of the shopping experience.
