My older chair is 15 years old and with Jeff's help, it is in excellent condition. I will have it at least another 15 years. These are expensive, but they are comfortable and they last. They said for me to send pictures of cushions and the labels, I did...then they said they were ordering parts. A couple months later after hearing nothing I reached out again and was told there was a delay in the parts (understandable since covid was in full force). Still nothing from them for a few months so I reached out again, by this time it's been over a year since purchased, and I was told they had the fixings for the cushion, so I said come pick both up and bring them in to be fixed and it was to my surprise that they said they thought it was only one cushion so I reminded them it was two and that I had sent them pictures of both cushions and tags months ago and they knew it was two...so again I was told they needed to get the parts. So I waited, again, months went by and I reached out and was told they were delayed...repeat two more times. Finally I went in and was told the same and reassured that it would be soon. So then when I heard nothing for another few months I decided to just wait on them to see if it would ever happen, if they would ever contact me since I always had to be the one to communicate, and nope, nothing. That was April of 2023, here we are Feb of 2024 and nothing. I've called and asked to have a manager call since they are never in when I call or go in. Still nothing. I will never buy from there again, terrible product and they don't stand behind what they sell obviously. Truly disappointed.

Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for something specific because they have all kinds of weird old stuff .

Plus, they have excellent in-house financing. However, my last few encounters have left me less than satisfied. First, my office ordered some office furniture (bookcase, desk) from them, and not only did it take way longer than the expected delivery, but we were given the run-around and they failed to return our calls. When the bookcase finally showed up, it was broken on the bottom and they did nothing to compensate us for it. Then my husband and I went in to buy bedroom furniture (mattress, bed frame, nightstands, media chest). We were estimated 4-6 weeks for the furniture, and 2 weeks for the mattress. The mattress showed up at 4 weeks (something to do with 'it was scheduled to be on the truck but it wasn't there when it showed up'). We are still waiting on the furniture - two months later! I understand that not everything goes as smoothly as planned, but on top of the delays, no one returns my phone calls, despite promises to do so. Oh and trust me, I have called and called and called. I have to physically walk-in and demand answers to get anywhere. And I've talked to almost everyone there at this point. Still at a loss at where my furniture is or when it is coming. Oh, and I checked with an internet site about the same furniture (which I've been told takes so long because it comes from Canada), who said they could get it to me in 1 week tops, at half the price! I have been pleasant every time I speak with Vern's, but I'm beginning to think being nice is not going to get me anywhere! I'm ready to cancel my order at this point. 3/12 Update! So I ended up writing a letter to the store manager, and the next day I got a call from him. He was super nice and told me he talked to the freight company personally and that my furniture was in town. He scheduled a delivery right-away. He apologized for all my troubles. When my furniture showed up, the deliver men were amazing. The wrong headboard was sent, but they got on the phone and handled it. Another truck brought the right one shortly after. There was some damage to one of the sides of the bed, which we noted on the delivery slip and will have to deal with the owner about. Otherwise, I am happy with my furniture! I wish the whole thing was not such an ordeal, but A-plus to the owner and A-plus to the deliver folks.

Recently while shopping for furniture, I visited Vern's Furniture store. While browsing their…read moreselection, I saw four rather large cockroaches scurrying across their showroom floor. It was shortly after noon when this occurred. I can only imagine how many other critters are actually infesting that building and the products they offer. There is nothing that could get me to return to that establishment. People shopping for furniture deserve better.
