My mother-in-law and I went to their charcuterie board class and it was absolutely fantastic! I had so much fun learning about what to pair, how to plate, how to store (making ahead of time); there's just so much they pack into this little class! The setting was really intimate too so you didn't ever feel like you had to guess what was going on or feel timid asking questions! They also offer wine, mimosas, and water, so there's something for every taste and occasion! They also do private parties, baby showers, etc! If you're on the fence, just sign up!! Carl Johnson's has been here forever it seems, and about every two weeks usually on a Thursday evening is where you will find a great local auction house. They offer not only the "live" auction that evening, as well you can preview and absentee bid over the phone and online ahead of the auction. This store is also a Retail/Resell furniture store, with some housewares, household items and collectibles. A decent selection of vintage, mid century, modern, rustic and traditional furnishings, as well as seasonal items. The staff are always friendly and engaging - always ask if you need any help or will point you in the right direction to look, never any pressure sells tactics here. Auction nights are usually a lot of fun and all bidding starts low, so there is always the opportunity to score some really great stuff for cheap if no one is bidding against you. Our most recent auction visit - we acquired a very nice mid century arched floor lamp (retail if you can find it $800+/-) for about 15% of the list price. A bargain by any standard. Carl Johnson's is well worth a visit and a look - try them on auction night sometime when you're in the area, previewing is the day before and day of the auction. I purchased a handbag/purse for my wife. A piece of the strap broke. I called and spoke with the manager and asked if it was possible to exchange for a new bag the man said yes. Upon arrival the woman working the counter was super rude and was convinced I had stollen it. She then tried convincing her coworkers I had stollen it. I had to bring up a bank statement showing the purchase to convince her. After over 2 months of waiting I am still waiting on the piece to arrive. read more

DONT SHOP HERE!!! They do this super weird/tricky bait and switch on their prices while you stand there and try to remember what was the last price they told you since it keeps going up!!! They are all quite nice and the furniture looks good, but the super weird constantly moving prices feels really slimy and underhanded, so buyer beware.... its also quite expensive... read more

This place is the best!!! It seems like they are a family-owned business. They have terrific service and a ton of fun merchandise. We bought a really nice dining room table (new) here for a really good price. We had looked around for months and months! They were set to deliver to us for free the next day, but they ended up calling us that evening after dark and delivering it to us! They appreciate their customers and go the extra mile. Just check this place out when you have time... great for gifts, jewelry, new furniture, decor, antiques, the list is very long.. they also have fun auctions here. The buyer here really has a great eye and style. It is also very fun to go here during the holidays to buy gifts and look at their fun and bright holiday decor. I just have to say, these guys rock. My bed did take a long time to get there but it wasn't their fault. Dave just called me and explained the CA warehouse was flooded so it was sent from the east coast instead. They didn't catch it until after but I'm so glad they personally called and explained the situation. It honestly made me feel better about why it took so long and I do feel bad for jumping to conclusion. I will be back because the quality of the bed is fantastic and the level of professionalism I received was top of the line. Thank you all so much!! Original post: Typically the service is great and the do have great products but unfortunately I am completely dissatisfied with their service and very frustrated. My husband and I ordered a bed on January 7, 2017 and were told it would be here with the box spring by Wednesday January 11, 2017 at the latest. When I didn't receive a phone call by Thursday the 12th to pick it up I called them and they said it would be here no later than Tuesday and we would receive a call when it was in. On Tuesday I called again; I got an answer and they said the box spring was in but not the mattress and that it should hopefully be in Wednesday. It is now Wednesday and I have not received any news. My husband and I are so frustrated because we were told it would be here on a certain date and it is not! We have been sharing a twin bed for over a week and while I'm thankful to have borrowed a bed, it is absolutely ridiculous that it's not in yet. We will NOT be purchasing from them again. read more
