I love Mead and Meaderies - there are not a lot of Meaderies around - so whenever I find one - I make a "bee"-line there (a little honey/mead humor there...). It was close to their advertised closing time on a weekday afternoon - but I made it with time to spare... The young lady pouring my mead tastings was very nice, although I think she was fairly new to the job. I enjoyed tasting all the meads - even the ones I would probably never order a full glass of. I probably need to fly out to Colorado, get a rental car, visit Redstone, buy a ton of Mead and drive it back to Virginia! So good! #RedstoneMeadery

Out and about Boulder CO. Winery hopping & decided to change it up, Redstone Meadery is a great stop & change of pace. A must try.

Complimentary wine tasting! Such nice staff and great selections. Had to get 2 bottles to go and mead infused chocolate! A great little place to stop and have a great tasting and nice conversation.

This was a cute little stop I really liked some of their sparkling meads. Unique flavor, along with very knowledgeable mead sommelier! the Sunflower mead was awesome! We got to taste a ton for not very much $$$. I love the bottles and branding very cute very local forward! I'm glad we stopped here but it's not the event that some of the other winery/brewery stops in Boulder so don't plan on spending hours here.

Heavenly, absolutely delightful! On a whirlwind booze tour we had to stop by the meadery! I timed it so that we could enjoy the live music while learning and enjoying mead culture and it couldn't have been better! We began with a super sampler of almost all of their offerings, including a boysenberry mead, a hoppy mead, and Cizer! Yes, a mead cider combo - color me happy! The employees were knowledgeable, but the patrons were eager to share their love of mead as well. I met some colorful characters who were so excited and amplified my new found love of mead. The music was great! Two musicians enhanced the experience greatly. The tasting room is small, but packed with personality! There are bottles of mead from all over the world, a couple of small tables and many fun products for purchasing. See photos to get a glimpse, but get your butt there to actually enjoy it! Every detail is perfection, the delicious drink is complemented by the blue glass packaging. When my wish comes true and they open up a meadery in Denver, I will become a regular. Until then, this is a good enough reason to venture out to Boulder on its own!

I ended up getting their Halloween special which was their spiced mead made blue with spirulina called the Draugr and my spouse got their oak barrel aged mead. The only drawback I have to say about this place is truly not enough room to sit especially if they get busy. There was a private party on what I believe to be their back patio, which is good to know if anyone was looking for a very small venue. All in all cute place, good mead a great little place for a quick meet up but definitely will make you cozy up to your neighbor.

They also offer meads, mulled cider, and an entirely new food menu that pairs perfectly with the drinks. There's clearly a lot of thought going into the experience now. We also heard a new deck area is coming soon, plus plans for a paella night--which honestly sounds amazing and gives us even more reason to come back. If you haven't been to Snowy Peaks recently, it's absolutely worth another visit. They're doing great things and it's becoming a must-stop spot in Estes Park.

Honnibrook is different - their mead is light, refreshing and they had so many fun different flavors to try! Everyone at the meadery was so nice and let us try the base mead as we walked in, to set a baseline for a mead without any of the flavoring. It was again light, crisp and not syrupy-tasting. My husband and I ended up getting a flight of 4 - the slushie mojito, earl gray lavender, island hopper and huckleberry. The earl gray lavender was delicious - we ended up getting a bottle to bring home! My only critical feedback would be the flight options - they had several flight options (1 taster for $4, then flights for 4 or 8). There was no economical benefit to getting a 4 or 8-taster flight, versus just individual tasters, so don't think the flight pricing makes sense since it's just a per unit price regardless of how many tasters you get. Definitely will be recommending this place to friends! flight prices

Pretty quickly over the following 60 minutes he became verbally aggressive, psychologically abusive, and patronizing to myself and my girlfriends. I have NEVER in my life had this experience, and I have traveled all over the US and the world, interacting with thousands of people from countless cultures. William literally flipped a switch and began telling us "I have kicked people out of here before who were above you, and you are here" indicating with his hands that we were below whomever he had an experience with in the past. He also told one of my girlfriends that she doesn't know wine and that she is a "condescending bitch", because she was engaged in a conversation with him about his wines. I invited William to sit at our table with us early on (which he did) and when he switched to the drunk monster that he truly is, I saw it in his eyes. It is VERY obvious that this individual has LOTS of issues he needs to work through and is currently using alcohol as a coping mechanism, while also verbally assaulting his female customers. Unfortunately, we were the only 3 people in the tasting room and had we had a male with us, we surely would not have had the same experience. I immediately began to shut down (trauma response) and tears began streaming down my face. Normally with this type of male (gaslighting, condescending, and toxic to the nth degree), I would have been overly confrontational but the things he said and the look in his eyes, I knew that it was in my best physical health to not fully engage. I looked at him right before we left and said "I want you to know that this feeling, the tears I can't control, are real and you alone caused this". He then made fun of me for my tears and told us to leave as we were trying to pay. We obviously left and were and still are in complete shock. This individual needs to not only seek mental and substance use help but also should not be running a winery. Do NOT go to Ten Bears, especially if you are alone, are a group of women, and/or care about the safety of women. Ladies, go to Sweetheart Winery in Loveland, never had an issue there.
