I love Mead and Meaderies - there are not a lot of Meaderies around - so whenever I find one - I make a "bee"-line there (a little honey/mead humor there...). It was close to their advertised closing time on a weekday afternoon - but I made it with time to spare... The young lady pouring my mead tastings was very nice, although I think she was fairly new to the job. I enjoyed tasting all the meads - even the ones I would probably never order a full glass of. I probably need to fly out to Colorado, get a rental car, visit Redstone, buy a ton of Mead and drive it back to Virginia! So good! #RedstoneMeadery

Out and about Boulder CO. Winery hopping & decided to change it up, Redstone Meadery is a great stop & change of pace. A must try.

Complimentary wine tasting! Such nice staff and great selections. Had to get 2 bottles to go and mead infused chocolate! A great little place to stop and have a great tasting and nice conversation.

This was a cute little stop I really liked some of their sparkling meads. Unique flavor, along with very knowledgeable mead sommelier! the Sunflower mead was awesome! We got to taste a ton for not very much $$$. I love the bottles and branding very cute very local forward! I'm glad we stopped here but it's not the event that some of the other winery/brewery stops in Boulder so don't plan on spending hours here.

Heavenly, absolutely delightful! On a whirlwind booze tour we had to stop by the meadery! I timed it so that we could enjoy the live music while learning and enjoying mead culture and it couldn't have been better! We began with a super sampler of almost all of their offerings, including a boysenberry mead, a hoppy mead, and Cizer! Yes, a mead cider combo - color me happy! The employees were knowledgeable, but the patrons were eager to share their love of mead as well. I met some colorful characters who were so excited and amplified my new found love of mead. The music was great! Two musicians enhanced the experience greatly. The tasting room is small, but packed with personality! There are bottles of mead from all over the world, a couple of small tables and many fun products for purchasing. See photos to get a glimpse, but get your butt there to actually enjoy it! Every detail is perfection, the delicious drink is complemented by the blue glass packaging. When my wish comes true and they open up a meadery in Denver, I will become a regular. Until then, this is a good enough reason to venture out to Boulder on its own!

Their only great mead, the reserve, is way over-priced and not given as a free sample.

There were about 12 people inside watching Phantom when we got there and we received waves and compliments from several. I do believe one of the co-owners was the one who helped us at the bar and we were offered free samples. I ended up getting their Halloween special which was their spiced mead made blue with spirulina called the Draugr and my spouse got their oak barrel aged mead. We watched part of Phantom and part of Nosferatu before we left around 9pm because it was getting late. We had a great time and the atmosphere was really chill. We hope to be back soon. The location is nice, it's is not particularly big but when we went it was comfortable and we found a seat easily. They have an outdoor patio that I did not photograph because it was dark. They have a tasting room and a little gift area. They showcase local art on the walls and have several games and toys for little ones to play with. They offer their own mead, meads and ciders from all over, non alcoholic drinks, wines, and an assortment of cocktails. They also offer pub snacks which we got the meat and cheese plate and giant pretzel. My 1.5 year old thoroughly enjoyed both and we were hungry so I forgot to photograph it lol. The mead was wonderful. They offer flights and my partner and I both had one. He got the warrior and I got the sweet as well as a DIY flight. The flights were very reasonably priced at 9$ for a flight of 3 which were decent sizes. The traditional was a nice easy mead, sweet but not overbearingly so. My partner really enjoyed the Ragnarboar which was raspberry infused. I loved the Oderir and would drink that warm in the fall. It was a great experience, our 1.5 year old was welcomed with us, loved the toys and the snacks and I was pleased to know and use the changing table in the bathroom. We will definitely be back. Can't wait for warmer months when the patio is opened.

This place is a must-stop. Please read on, knowing we are just regular people from out of town…read more(and as another plus, this review is being posted two months after we stopped by, having gone to Denver to see Paul Simon's last tour in the closest venue to where we live--I happened to look at one of the bottles tonight and asked if we left a review). We were only in town for a brief time, arriving after normal business hours. A few days out, we reached out to Deb, and she said she would make an exception to meet us after she closed for the day (don't know if that will work for everyone but she was SO accommodating) for a tasting.... little did we know, this was a SERIOUS tasting! Queen Bee Brews is in a strip/warehouse north of downtown Denver, a place in which you wouldn't suspect top-notch mead to be created. Deb greeted and seated us, and started the tasting off with their most straightforward mead.... Now, it's a treat to be in ANY establishment that has more than one mead, and especially meads that aren't so cloyingly sweet, so I was really excited being a home brewer and having tried my hand at making both still and sparkling varieties. I was completely blown away by everything! And if you've never had mead, YOU SHOULD WAIT UNTIL YOU GET HERE! DON'T TRY THAT MASS-PRODUCED, SYRUPY-SWEET VERSION OF THIS AMAZING DRINK! Queen Bee's use of unique honeys, creative blendings and the sheer variety of choices made our visit one we'll never forget, and we have to thank Deb for letting us taste some of the newest mead in production, taking us back into the "cellar" for a behind-the-scenes look (again, the home brewer in me was completely geeking out by the charts on the wall listing honeys, yeasts, gravities and acidities, a real hallmark of the seriousness of their craft). We agree with other Yelp reviewers in that we had a hard time choosing, but couldn't leave without three bottles of what we considered their finest: "Ida" (raspberry mead), "Pomona" (a cyser, honey and apple juice), and last but certainly not least, "Coffea", a mead made from COFFEE BLOSSOM HONEY! Wow.... this last one we are saving for when we know we will be returning to Denver and have time to stop by and can replace the precious bottle we have! Until then, don't touch it, don't even look at it! It cannot be drunk! Seriously folks, make time to stop by this place (during business hours preferably so she doesn't have to deal with home brew nerds like me when she could be away from work) and taste the amazing things they have going on! If for some reason you are disappointed, then you shouldn't be in the business of expanding your palate, should go to the nearest convenience store and buy your usual 24-pack of Bud Dry. If not, you'll thank all the other folks with positive reviews about Queen Bee Brews for encouraging you to stop by and taste something totally unique and distinctive to Denver. Deb, when will you be distributing?!?! Not soon enough, that Coffea is begging to be opened! - Corbin

Their patio is wonderful when it's available and the inside space has several different heights of tables with either backed chairs or backless bar stools. I am sober from alcohol so don't have much reason to drop in on my own; there is only one NA on tap and it's always a kombucha. Boring. There are so many killer NA ciders out there these days. It's up to SVC whether to welcome in the sober, the pregnant, the "I have a test tomorrow"... their choice is no, and that's fine, they pay in lost income. For those who do drink, though, there are 30+ on tap (which is why it's so disappointing they offer nothing for the rest of us). I've had their ciders before becoming sober and they have lots of options from pucker dry to knock-you-out sweet and everything in between. Lots of fun collabs with distilleries and wineries lend themselves to unique and funky batches. I love their quirky Japanese snacks and beverages, it really lends a goofy flair that gives the place a lot of charm! There are also some real food options these days as well which is nice to support effectively metabolizing alcohol so customers don't go home drunk. Ciders can sneak up on you!

Honnibrook is different - their mead is light, refreshing and they had so many fun different flavors to try! My husband and I ended up getting a flight of 4 - the slushie mojito, earl gray lavender, island hopper and huckleberry. The earl gray lavender was delicious - we ended up getting a bottle to bring home! My only critical feedback would be the flight options - they had several flight options (1 taster for $4, then flights for 4 or 8). There was no economical benefit to getting a 4 or 8-taster flight, versus just individual tasters, so don't think the flight pricing makes sense since it's just a per unit price regardless of how many tasters you get. Pretty quickly over the following 60 minutes he became verbally aggressive, psychologically abusive, and patronizing to myself and my girlfriends. I have NEVER in my life had this experience, and I have traveled all over the US and the world, interacting with thousands of people from countless cultures. William literally flipped a switch and began telling us "I have kicked people out of here before who were above you, and you are here" indicating with his hands that we were below whomever he had an experience with in the past. He also told one of my girlfriends that she doesn't know wine and that she is a "condescending bitch", because she was engaged in a conversation with him about his wines. I invited William to sit at our table with us early on (which he did) and when he switched to the drunk monster that he truly is, I saw it in his eyes. It is VERY obvious that this individual has LOTS of issues he needs to work through and is currently using alcohol as a coping mechanism, while also verbally assaulting his female customers. Unfortunately, we were the only 3 people in the tasting room and had we had a male with us, we surely would not have had the same experience. I immediately began to shut down (trauma response) and tears began streaming down my face. Normally with this type of male (gaslighting, condescending, and toxic to the nth degree), I would have been overly confrontational but the things he said and the look in his eyes, I knew that it was in my best physical health to not fully engage. I looked at him right before we left and said "I want you to know that this feeling, the tears I can't control, are real and you alone caused this". He then made fun of me for my tears and told us to leave as we were trying to pay. We obviously left and were and still are in complete shock. This individual needs to not only seek mental and substance use help but also should not be running a winery. Do NOT go to Ten Bears, especially if you are alone, are a group of women, and/or care about the safety of women. Ladies, go to Sweetheart Winery in Loveland, never had an issue there.
