    Delicious Tequila experience
    Alejandro L.

Hidden GEM ! My wife and I had were lost at first trying to find this Bar, but once we found it we had one of the best experiences. First of all the service was incredible, we also met 2 regulars that made us feel right at home. I am REALLY picky when it comes to an Old fashioned and their Smoked Old Fashioned Blew me away. The first half of the drink gives you a little nibble and then becomes sweet towards the end; absolutely delicious. Their Agave Tequila that they make in house is also on Par with Don Julio 1942, which is crazy that I am saying that since I've been to Jalisco and I Know Tequila, but trust me their Añejo is delicious.

Great atmosphere and I highly recommend the Tequila flight. Especially their Anejo. I always sit at the bars, great service!

This place is definitely off the beaten path but is definitely worth seeking out. We came out on a Friday night and I was super shocked how empty it was because it was super cute inside. Fun Alice in Wonderland vibe. Drinks were yummy and the cocktail menu was very extensive... so many drinks, some were a little too sugar-y for me. We also go the meat and cheese platter and it was SO much food. Very generous portions! I also enjoyed the mini empanadas. I'd definitely come again but hope it isn't as empty.

Great venue. Pinball on the patio? Yes! Love the Bravo Zulu branded spirits ... the rum rocks, and is a great gift for anyone that served in the Navy, Coast Guard or Merchant Marine.

Great spot for a cocktail but they also serve food and have other beers on tap as well as seltzer and wine. Love the butter bourbon and old fashioned!!

In town visiting family. Seems I have forgotten my way around town, so my brother took me out for a drive to get my bearings back. Of course I saw a Distillery sign along the road and took a sharp, sudden, left turn. I must stop I said to him. He just smiled. Inside we found a quaint little space with cool chairs and a welcoming bar top with a friendly bar-gal. We ordered a 'everything' taster and set out to see what was up with this. It was only $9. BONUS right there! First up was the vodka: It was quite nice, smooth with a fruity finish. On to the Gin: Also smooth, was pretty great, without heavy juniper. Nice Citrus finish White rum would be a great mixer, smooth as the day is long I was blessed with 3 bourbons. They were all pretty good, but I can't wait to see when they get some seniors onto the table. They have a 4, 6 and 7 year at this point. Their Rye was Bushmill'ish to me. Not my favorite. We decided to get a cheese and meat tray. This was well worth the money and was ample for 3 people to share. The Bar-Gal was super nice, but they should have had help for her. Poor thing was running around on fire. She kept up pretty good though. It looks like they have a fun out-door space. Kids are welcome. It got a bit loud, so if quiet is what you are looking for while you enjoy your Whiskey, prepare yourself. They are going to be open on Sundays now as well. All in all, for this 'self-proclaimed whiskey snob', it was worth the stop.

So once again hanging out at the Mad Rabbit for a few cocktails, I don't write many reviews but have to this time!! By far the best cocktails in Colorado!!! Paul and Audrey are the best I highly recommend the Butter Bourbon even if you're not a whiskey drinker you have to try this fabulous drink!!

Why did it take me 2 years to come here? I love this place because they make high quality spirits, the drinks are delicious, and the owners/staff are very nice and accommodating. We came here on a Sunday and my husband and I enjoyed our Sunday funday here. He ordered multiple bourbon drinks and I ordered a bourbon drink along with a mule and the strawberry mojito (don't worry we ubered). All of our drinks were so tasty and we got to try some of their 100% agave tequila which had no bite and I must buy a bottle of this. We really liked the College in a Can which is like Hawaiian Punch mixed with their vodka - omg it's so good! Thank you Paul, Margaret, and Audrey! My hubby and I will be back!

    Delicious spiral tots! Must have!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I can't Believe it's two minute walk from my house if I cross through the creek in the culdesac I live in. I walk a 1/4 mile to Whistling Hare and thought that was the closest, but Now I found this place. I've seen the advertisement, but never really thought to go. A friend of mine had a groupon and so I joined them and others there. Tanya the bartendress is Awesome and was so informative. We got to take a tour and usually it's only by appointment on Fri and sats, but because they just opened we were able to take a tour and it was AWESOME! I took notes because it was super fascinating. I took a ton of pics, which I need to upload the rest. We had a tasting and the Vodka was SOOOO dang good. My fave which I'm going to buy is the V.I. Rum!! I'm a rum girl, must be my Puerto Rican side, but it is Deliciously Orgasmic and super smooth. I'm actually glad I didn't really know or try this place out sooner because having been a former alcoholic, I would've been living here since it's literally a 2 minute walk. Now that I drink socially only, it's more safe for me. They have delicious food too! One thing that is a must try is to have the mescal mule with Thai chile.. It's not hot or overly spicy and has a smooth quick kick to it and the after taste linger is soo Dreamy. Tanya Really knew her stuff and I know that' that's her job, but she does it well. Having lived in Vegas, many people in the casino who's worked there for years, still don't know there stuff. She was very energetic and I really Liked here right of the Bat! After the tasting shots and 2 regular drinks, I needed to eat. Got the tacos, 2 chicken 1 pork. Super good and 1/2 order of twisty tots. (Highly recommended) They have board games in there to play, but we were just talking of Tanyas ears and asking questions. We went there when it was just opening and the only one's there, which I'm glad because we got to ask questions and learn knew things. There was a couple who came soon after and left also soon after, think they were inquiring on something. FYI. they have an area and cater events, so mention this to your company. The good thing here, is that it's more secluded and ALOT of parking. They have the 3 units right next to each other and the distillery where all the Magic happens is the Unit 2 doors down. Our tour was so Fascinating and I love learning about new things and education myself beyond just drinking and dare I say "drunk" lol This gonna be my go to place when I feel like enjoying their flavorful spirits and mixed drinks. Location- secluded in the back, lots of parking. Area - Very safe neighborhood Price- Reasonable like you would expect Alcohol - home done Delicious Tasking SPirits!! Inside- pretty roomy, but can see it getting tight on crowded nites, but don't all places do that. It's a bit tricky if you're not use to this area to find, heck I live next door and I didn't know where it was and I ride my bike through this business area..lo Customer Service- OF the HOOK FANTASTIC with greaty energy, pleasing to look at an Very knowledgable!

The spot is small but has a cozy vibe. There were only 3 other patrons within (all were watching football) so my husband, infant and I snagged the couch in the corner which was perfect for us. We started with sampling their whiskey/rye flight. We enjoyed the rye and wound up buying a bottle. At about $65 it wasn't cheap but not super outrageous compared to other local distilleries. In addition we each had a cocktail - I honestly can't recall what I had but it had a fun hibiscus rum float and was yummy. My husband had the old fashioned and it was a solid one. The distillery was mostly empty when we arrived, so we grabbed a couple of seats at the bar. During the hour or so we were there, the place filled up quickly. I enjoyed sitting at the bar, as the bartender was friendly. She told us about the drinks she was preparing and we watched her make each beautiful, intricate cocktails. The menu sounded amazing, and it was hard to make decisions. I ordered Running with Scissors, as the bartender told me it was her favorite cocktail. It was a vodka and gin cocktail with fruity, but not too sweet flavors. My friend ordered the Fall of Man with which was a Bourbon cocktail with fall flavors, topped with marshmallow foam. Both were amazing. Honestly, each cocktail was a work of art. The space was open and large, with sort of a gallery feel. I would have enjoyed another cocktail and some more time at this venue, but we had a lot of plans for the evening and decided to move on. Anyway, this distillery is highly recommended.

With a friend in tow we strolled the Skunk Creek path - enjoying the sounds of the creek and the sereneness of the road less traveled. Although the path system is fantastic in town I don't often find myself on it (mostly for fear of pedestrians/strollers/skateboarders while riding my bike on the Boulder Creek path, but that's another story). In no time at all (ok I admit this is Sasha speak for any distance up to or around 1mile - a girl's gotta get those Fitbit steps in somehow!) we found ourselves at J&L. While approaching we could see there was a tour in the works and walked around the side of the building to the tasting room entrance. Ascending the stairs up to the tap room we noted a great outdoor space with several picnic tables outfitted with umbrellas (fantastic for those post hike libations). Inside we were delighted at the open yet cozy feel. We chose a couple of bar stools and took a load off. Nibbling on a bowl of pretzels we contemplated the creative cocktail menu. As my friend and I are both holders of the Boulder Passport http://www.boulderpassport.com) we relished in the fact that we'd be in the establishment for awhile enjoying not one but two libations; after all we had a lot of catching up to do. This was my friend's first experience with J&L and she was tickled that the bartender was happy to provide her with samples of their liquors. In the end she chose a Beet Cocktail while I went for the Palisade Peach Pie - great choices on both counts. While sipping our cocktails we noted that the tour was still in full force and we enjoyed glimpses of the group through a viewing window in the tasting room. Once the tour commenced the group found their way in to the tasting room as did the tour provider who happened to be one of the distillery founders. One of my favorite things about J&L (aside from the FYR liquor) is how approachable and open the staff are. I always find it to be a special experience when business owners take the time to not only interact but engage with their customers. I look forward to returning for a tour as well as sharing this great spot with more friends.
