This is the finest wine in town! Love the overall vibe and Greg is a master of his artistry. 10/10 would recommend.

This new shop on the Pearl St Mall is a second location for a tasting room for Vapor Distillery. It…read moreis friendly and well stocked with their various products. It opened very recently and not just for the holiday season but to be available 7 days a week to walk up customers on the Mall. The distillery is to the east of downtown and needs a car to access. Not ideal for tourist and locals who frequent downtown, mostly on foot, whether you park in the area garages or use a bus to get here. We had wanted to try their product since I first heard of them several year ago and as my husband is a fan of imported single malts, we thought trying theirs would be a good comparison. He has a significant collection of rotating favorites, some of which I like and some I don't. We tasted several versions today, just doing free sips of several. There were other customers there too, but on a chilly day, not too many strolling around looking for things to do. We were greeted as soon as we came in as the single staff member balanced a series of customers. We were offered, but did not try, the various flights they serve in their little more private, seating area. But it looked like a nice option on a warmer more leisurely day. We tried their flagship American single malt, the port cask cured and the peated option. I also tried their bourbon as I like bourbon quite a bit. We did buy a bottle of their New American Single Malt. We plan to go back in better weather and try some of their other offerings. If you look at Vapor Distillery's website you can get a better view of the breadth of their products. The pricing was competitive for an American version of the imports we often buy.

I was fortunate enough to volunteer for the Friday night food and wine pairing event and I was so impressed with everyone involved. The venue was the perfect size, there were plenty of wines and and fabulous foods to taste and every was pleasant and having a great time. On the evening I was there it was not oversold as so many events can be, and I almost hate sharing this gem event because you'll want to go next year, lol. Sharon the coordinator that got me all setup in the wine pouring was super marvelous and shared so much wine expertise with me that just based on her happy to be there personality I'd go again. They had vendors showing jewelry and specialty knives and other great gifts and treasures as well, that is what makes this event more then just a drinking experience! Remember this event Coloradans for next year! It's a great event, and priced accordingly for what it offers!

This event was a fairly standard wine event - a lot of people who just get a ticket and want to…read moredrink an excessive amount of wine, not really to learn anything about the wines, producers or other education that comes along with it. I'm not saying that's in inherently bad thing, but if you're an aficionado like me, a lot of the fun is taken away by the folks that are too soused to walk straight. I'm sure the line-up changes from year-to-year, but there were a lot of less-known producers and some distributors. There was very little wine from Europe which was certainly disappointing. A nice feature that was offered were demos and educational programs, although they're not highly attended.
