If you are using this platform then, at least give a review once in a while and if you find a business has changed services, stopped services, or has just gone lame, then do a review and report it. This is a poor reflection not only on Gold Key Travel, but Yelp and its users as well. Come on people. All previous reviews looked outstanding, so I thought Gold Key Travel is going to be a great gig. Wrong! I wasted way too much time trying to contact GKT only to find out that they are no longer open to the public for regular services. They now apparently only do certain special annual package deals for seniors. So why is GKT showing up as number one on a Yelp search for the Greeley/Ft Collins area when they are no longer open for regular travel services? There should be a way for Yelp to remove businesses or change their status listing so of users don't waste their time trying to contact businesses that no longer offer the regular services as once previously performed or advertised.

Both recommendations were perfect (amazing food, drink, service, etc), and the agents couldn't have made it easier. They setup transportation to and from the airport, recommended excursions that the whole family loved, and even contacted the hotel to add special perks for my wife and I on our anniversary. If I could have people like this plan my normal day-to-day activities my life would be much less stressful!

I had a deeply disappointing experience working with Carolyn of Memories in Motion Travel…read more Throughout the extensive planning process for a 3 week trip in Europe, I would finally have an itinerary set, to then be told tours and/or activities needed to be changed for one reason or another. This meant the itinerary as a whole needed to be reviewed and adjusted. To make matters worse, I often found mistakes in the updated itineraries sent to me. I was literally boarding my flight and still did not have a finalized itinerary. Once abroad, the troubles didn't stop. I had incorrect information about meeting points for tours, had tours that no one ever showed up to lead, and was even given the wrong train station to be at for my train from Budapest to Vienna! Thank goodness I arrived early enough for this to be discovered and still have time to get across the city to the right train station to catch the correct train. What made things worse was that Carolyn brought in an outside vendor and then completely abdicated responsibility for everything that went wrong. Instead of taking accountability, they pointed fingers and did not provide any recompense. Travel is stressful enough without this kind of negligence and lack of ownership. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for travel services.

Additionally, the tour was 2.5 hours, maybe 3 at a stretch, not the 4 hours quoted over the phone. Everyone in the raft kept asking where the rest of the tour was... nope, we were done. We did the 2pm intermediate run, which was maybe 2 hours of calm water, then 30 minutes of rapids at the end. Had a lot more fun in Royal Gulch earlier in the weekend, and the guides there were much more skilled.. and nicer. The female guide, I think her name was Kelsey, was awesome and a lot of fun, although we didn't get her. She is new. The other guide kept trying to screw her up and/or get her stuck.. not cool.

I know sh*t happens, and once it's behind me, I don't like to engage in the negative stuff more that I have to. But, I'm back now because the owners appear to have JUST responded to the review my sister wrote, in which she took a lot of time and stress to put into writing, so that other folks could be warned and not have the same bad experience we did. Why would the owners only just respond now 9 months later, with an apology? It is too little too late. I'm not writing this review to get into a re-litigation over the particulars (a theft of our catalytic converter while our car was parked behind rocky mtn camper vans locked doors with (supposed cameras). It was unfortunate for us, but my sister and I get it - these things happen. What made it really awful, though, was the attitude first of Steve, their employee, and then of the owners themselves (erin and her husband). Did they apologize? Sure. Maybe. But only after sending us a reminder that they aren't legally liable. Somewhere in between their litany about how this could happen anywhere, even going into the grocery store, blah blah blah. The police could only help us if we could have access to the cameras, which the owners were unclear and sketchy about. Turns out, the posted signs about "camera surveillance" were just for show (which I only just learned about reading their response to my sister) - would have been good to know this BEFORE we decided to leave our car on their locked lot. So, buyer/renter BEWARE - our van was cool, our trip was great, but if you have ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL, don't expect the employees and owners to have any genuine support and kindness. They are unlikely to be genuine and supportive just because it's the kind and professional thing to do. Husband (Boyd?) is especially condescending, but neither of them appeared to actually care about our predicament. Just not nice people, which is too bad given the potential for this business...
