Inside you'll find some very cool art and antique details that will bring you back in time. The food was good, very southern comfort, and heavily plated, so be ready to eat. We had two dishes but we still left with to go containers that we enjoyed in the late evening. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they give you a great history of the restaurant and some great recommendations. My personal favorite was the Mac n cheese which paired well with all the fried food.

Alisha was our server and she was very attentive. Food was great, I got the "cheese pull" for appetizer. Mozzarella cheese sticks were amazing. I ate so many of them and drank my flavored mango, strawberry and peach combo tea and was in heaven. My entree was crawfish combo with sautéed crawfish instead of etouffee. My special request. Also fried crawfish was on the platter. Of course I had leftovers and of course I would love a to go flavored tea. The best! Hadn't been here in awhile but is close to work and a new favorite.

Father's Day dining can be a gamble, and this visit almost didn't happen…read more My 16-year-old son and I had just finished watching a movie in Humble and planned to celebrate with dinner at Pappas Seafood House. Unfortunately, the wait there was a whopping three hours for a table for two. Not wanting to call it quits, I phoned the next closest location off I-45 near Beltway 8 and was told the wait would be about an hour. Since it was only about 20 minutes away, we headed over. When we arrived, I immediately noticed the restaurant had been rebranded from Pappas Seafood House to Pappadeaux. Once inside, I was surprised when the hostess informed me the wait was actually closer to two hours. I explained that I'd just spoken with someone on the phone who quoted a much shorter wait time. Thankfully, another hostess, Ellen, stepped in and worked some magic, offering us an available table almost immediately. That completely changed the trajectory of our evening. I summoned the kiddo from the car, who was fully prepared for a long wait, and we were escorted to a comfortable booth tucked away in the back corner of the bar area. Lesli was our server, and she did a solid job despite the Father's Day crowd. We both ordered the Shrimp & Chicken Tenderloins platter--he went with the medium ($21.95) and I opted for the large ($28.95), both served with French fries. I also added a side of dirty rice ($5.95). The restaurant was packed, so the complimentary bread arrived at the same time as our meals, but that's easy to overlook on a busy holiday. What matters is that the food delivered exactly what we've come to expect from Pappadeaux. The shrimp was perfectly fried--crispy on the outside and tender inside. The chicken tenderloins were thick, juicy, and flavorful, not the dry, overcooked strips you get at lesser establishments. The dirty rice was a great addition and rounded out the meal nicely. We've never been disappointed by the shrimp and chicken at Pappadeaux, and this visit was no exception. Between Ellen rescuing our Father's Day dinner plans and another consistently delicious meal, this location earned another visit from us. We'll definitely be back.

We had Kimmy as our server the first go round and I believe Sarah was our second! They've got happy hour until 7 so it's nice for those of us that get off late and can still enjoy HH. The second time I went I got the burger, it was quite large, and wasn't able to finish, but both meals were great and were on the HH menu. The staff is very attentive as to not leave dirty dishes in the tables and to pickup empty glasses, which is always one thing that restaurants tend to forget about, so I'm glad that hit it out the park with the customer service and food. They had a live sax and trumpet player the first night and the second night jamming all night long. I'd love to have a place close to where I live that has live music, so this makes me excited for what's to come for them!

Quotes just don't know how long I've been waiting for the opportunity to stop in and check them…read moreout. Better late than never, but dang- I wish I had come sooner! It was my birthday but I had a funeral to attend that afternoon. On this particular day, it also was raining, HORRIBLY, so I was really doubting that I would get a chance to do something later, but I decided to see how far Quotes was from the service. Depending on what time we got out, if there wasn't a repase, AND the weather giving me some grace, I would stop by for an early birthday dinner. Thankfully, Mother Nature gave me a break and let me and my Mom enjoy a nice late lunch at Quotes, which not only had delicious food but exceptional customer service. Soon as we came to the front door, it was opened for us to step inside. We were greeted and shown where we could keep our umbrellas if we felt comfortable leaving at the front door. The hostess lead us to a table and asked if the location was okay. Once more, when our servers, Diamond and Ty, came to our table for our drink orders, I was asked if we were celebrating anything. I mentioned my birthday and was later on surprised by a slice of cheesecake. I didn't have the space to even eat it because I was fat full from the food and drinks I had before dessert arrived! First off, we came at a great time because we were able to try their entrees at a discounted price. Even the drinks are discounted during the lunch hour except their signature and customer fav, the lemon drop, with good reason! The flair that it is presented to you is phenomonal, but the taste is exquisite. It was so smooth I had to slow down from drinking it. I'm usually not too big into drinking more than one drink, but it was my birthday and the drink was GOOD, so another round had to be had! I even tasted my Mom's drink to see if there was something else I should try. I ended up sticking with my Lemon drop and the second one did not disappoint. As far as the food, I did ask for suggestions on a few entrees. I ended up getting the fried catfish and grits while Mom ordered the shrimp tacos with a side of asparagus. Although Mom raved about her tacos and even stated she wish she could make them at home, the asparagus was salty to us. We did send it back and in response, Chef Trini came out personally to ensure the second make was to our liking, indicating that the blackened seasoning would be available on the side. Please tell Chef Trini that this was the best asparagus I EVER tasted. It was cooked to perfection and no seasoning what so ever needs to camofluage the fineese that Chef cooked it with. My entree was also delectable and delicious with the marriage of fried catfish and grits smoothered with creole crawfish sauce (say that three times)! I love my catfish fried hard and not salted to death. Quotes presented both and it intermingled with the grits graciously. I couldn't eat the entire entree because 1. It was a big portion and 2. We had enjoyed an appetizer, the spinach dip and cauliflower garlic bread. It is a MUST to have! We are spinach dip fans and Quotes not only has one of the best Spinach Dips I tasted in a long time, but the creativity of making cauiflower garlic bread is chef's kiss. You would not even think you were eating cauliflower. It minds me more of pita bread versus tradional thick garlic bread but the flavor is there and compliments nicely with the spinach dip. Both the appetizer and my entree not only made great evening and next day breakfast meals but tasted even better later and the next day. That's when you KNOW you've eaten some good food- it taste even better later. Even the bday cheesecake was insanely epic the next day. I can't say enough about Quotes. Great service and food as well as beautifully decorated space that truly leaves you inspired. Thank you Quotes- I will be back!

We set at the bar to get quick service, however the food took forever by the time we receive our food, it was very disappointed and the presentation was trash . Plus I don't know who on grist duty in the back, but they need to be replaced because you really can't mess up grist but they did. Cajun fish was alright, but the smother in crawfish saue was more like crawfish pasta. Last but not least Cajun doesn't mean to throw a lot of season all or kanye pepper on the dish, So Please Stop. We had tortilla chip with a crawlfish cheese dip. The chips has so much season all on it that it was ridiculous.

Suffice to say, I read almost all the reviews on here prior to sharing this experience (still…read morelooking for this restaurant on google, which is where I typically write all my reviews - good/bad). Let me start by saying that Jamie the server is exceptional at what he does and is 95% of the time doing it by himself. That being said, he gets my grace and he always aims to please his customers in my opinion, even if it takes him some time to accomplish it, and that I believe customers value generally. The food here was always good in my opinion, especially for where we were. When he is not around, I guess you could say "all hell breaks lose". There is a female that works here on the weekends and she is horrible, if that is any way to describe the most horrific restaurant experience one could have. While it is clear that most of these reviews are a few years back, mine is quite recent (March 2026). I give people the benefit of the doubt and it was my 2nd experience with her that did it. As I always say, when people show you who they are, believe them. She sucks and she does not belong in "any" environment that has customer service as their goal because she knows not what that is. When I walked up to the bar to place my order, 2 other females that I am familiar with were sitting there apparently waiting on her to serve them as well. She acknowledged me with an attitude after I nudged her (because I was standing there a while and was being ignored). And yes, she was very present on the cash register doing I don't know what, that could have been more important than serving waiting customers. Once enough time had passed, I exchanged words with the other ladies waiting, only to find out that they too had been sitting for a significant period of time waiting on her. Once I made it clear that there was no reason for me to wait 40 mins for a glass of wine while the server was present (because this particular evening, that's all I wanted), I walked away, and they did shortly after as well. A few minutes later, in reiterating my experience to another party, I was told that 4 other persons walked away from the restaurant a few hours earlier because of her. So in total, that day (it was a Saturday), this restaurant lost the business of at least 7 people (that we know of) because of 1 bad employee. As a business owner, that smells like defeat. I hope the owner sees this and gets rid of her. I am not one quick to see people lose their jobs for any reason, actually I am quick to beg an employer to let the employee keep their job, but not this time around. She belongs behind a closed door where she has zero contact with the outside world. Despicable. The reason I'm just now writing this if you're wondering, is because I just left a very popular busy restaurant and the service, ambiance and food were all top notch. So I came on here to write a god review for them, then I remembered this bad experience.
