Excellent food. The only issues I had was that I came doing a slow period and I still had to wait close to 45 minutes for the food to arrive. Got the fish and shrimp tacos which was cold on arrival to the table. The issue was quickly corrected with hot food and it was delicious so brownie points for quickly correcting the problem. Asked for water with the order and was not told that it would be bottled water which was $3.75 each. Lack of communication. Wife had the pork chop sandwich which was plenty of food and really good. The food in this restaurant is very good and you get quite a lot if it. I ordered a cheeseburger and my companion had their BLT. Neither of us could finish the meal so we had extra food to take home for another meal. Inside it's clean, spacious and well maintained. Our waitress was attentive and accommodating. There was music playing but not so loud that you can't hear yourself think. The volume was perfect. The prices are high in my opinion but we came earlier in the day when the prices are much more reasonable. This was our first visit and we will probably come again. But not late in the day when the prices are much more than I'd be willing to pay. Do take my advice and come between 11-3pm. After that you'll pay nearly $30 for a $10 burger! Oh and idk why but they've got these orange cones blocking off all the parking spots in front of their establishment. Weird! So in order to park and come inside, you'll need to park somewhere other than in front of the entrance. read more

I've never had a bad meal at Redds, the food is freshly made to order therefore it takes a little more time ,but it's certainly worth the wait. Drinks are strong and flowing and they have great drink specials daily. Service is always very friendly , the atmosphere is lively. I love their seafood nachos... it's surprisingly hard to find that in Houston but yummmmmmm...add the shrimp to elevate the dish even more. My only con is the menu prices are surprisingly steep, but I guess if you want flavorful fresh food, you have to pay the price. Nonetheless I recommend and will be back for more nachos. read more

Worth the wait! Order ahead for pick up. Portions are huge! I chose the Kennedy. The Chicken wings were cooked perfectly and the Greens were so delicious with lots of garlic. Mom and I came in today, Pinky served us. At first we weren't going to stay due to their prices being a bit high... But Pinky was extremely polite so my mom decided to stay and share a burger. We got Hells burger it's a double patty that cost $19.99 then we got fries and onion rings these both cost like $10 each with one can of coke. Stumbled across this place while visiting Houston. Got off the plane & came to eat at REDD's it's simple banging a huge bang. The service was good but the food was everything. I came because the reviews were good. They said... the food was good and it was the only place I would need to stop. They said, the drinks were good and the staff was friendly... Well. The staff was friendly. They kindly explained that none of the sandwiches (priced $10-16) came with fries. No problem. Fries were only $8!? The staff kindly explained that they're that pricey because they are hand cut. Yay. I had the strawberry margarita/ slush. It tasted virgin. We ordered egg rolls and they were fine. I also note that not only were the fries 8 bucks... but so was a bowl of grits... or oatmeal. That kind of price gouging doesn't even happen in finer establishments. Go look, you will see I'm right on this one. Poor pricing strategy spoiled my appetite and requires review. On my first try I decided not to purchase anything from here because they didn't seem happy to serve me. I stopped in here toward the end of a long drive back from Dallas. It was mid afternoon and I wanted a good burger and a beer. Stopped for gas and looked for something close. Found Redds. It's in a bad area which was the first red flag, but looks can sometimes be deceiving so I have it a shot. Sat at the bar and waited for the server to be done scrolling on her phone for a while before acknowledging me and asking what I want... not exactly welcoming, but whatever she's probably just not used to seing customers enter the establishment... I ordered a corona, which was their "premium" beer selection(price of a 6pack at Walmart). Got the basic cheeseburger and fries thinking that would be a safe bet. Without a doubt the worst burger I have ever had. The lettuce was dark and wilted. Bun was stale and the fries were devoid of any semblance of flavor. But the worst part was the party. It was massive, cooked to death, and had absolutely no flavor at all. Seriously, not even a hint of seasoning. I'm not even sure what the meat was or where they get ground meat like that. It was so dense and flavorless I couldn't force myself to eat more than 2 bites. Seriously the texture of the meat is so bizarre that scientists could study it and possibly use it as substitute for atmospheric re-entry heat shields on a space shuttle. Out of the 5 food menu items and margaritas ordered, only the drinks and pork chop sandwich was good. The service was poor. The table we sat at wasn't clean, appetizer took over 40 minutes so I canceled that. The waitress seemed stressed, she was inexperienced but nice so I still tipped. I requested a receipt and never received it, although it was supposedly texted to my phone. It's not located in the best area, but I didn't feel threatened. The food prices and serving sizes are great. I was told there was only one cook and there were only two waitresses. When we entered there were about 12-15 customers. My experience at Redds was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The happy hour menu looked like a good deal. I got the ballpark burger with bacon and chicken added. The waitress told me it was big, but I just assumed she was exaggerating. The size of the burger was quite large indeed. The burger itself was seasoned well, but a bit over cooked. Fries and drinks sold separately. The fries, were not very good. It was a little undercooked and soggy. Now for the price, I'm not sure if it's worth it. Even though the burger could probably feed 2 people, the price still isn't justified in my opinion. I recommend checking out their happy hour deals and lunch specials.
