Let me start by saying I do not eat beef and was debating if it's fair to write a review but it's commonly frequented by co-workers and supposedly authentic Taiwanese cuisine. This used to be called ThaiOne (pronounced like Taiwan) they had a delicious vegetarian spicy eggplant dish that we used to come for all the time, but then it changed ownership and the menu has changed quite a bit. I've tried their fried chicken, and they used to have shrimp fried rice, spicy tofu (or spicy chicken) dish and a spicy fish noodle soup, but all of those are no longer on the menu of Beef Noodle. Then we went last week for lunch and there was a wait as it was full for a Friday afternoon. I ordered what my colleague recommended which is the shrimp wonton noodle soup. The shrimp dumplings tasted very good and I am hopeful they make those from scratch. As our noodle soups took quite some time to come out, it was very good. I think they make the noodles fresh also. I wanted to ask if the broth was chicken but I forgot. It was good but from what I understand, they are known for the beef noodle soup (hence their namesake) but since I cannot eat that, will rely on my co-workers to keep going back for it. read more

My friend and I walk in, the restaurant was pretty empty with only two tables seated. We're given menus and are flipping through the pages. After about ten minutes, we're ready to order. We tried to get the waitress's attention multiple times. We waved our hands up and down. We made eye contact with the waitress and who looks to be the manager. The manager tells the waitress to go to our table, she continues sorting utensils and ignores us. We catch her eye and say "excuse me" loudly thinking that would do it. We still get ignored. The staff are talking amongst themselves. After 30 minutes of trying multiple times, me and my friend decided to walk out. It's one thing to be busy and take longer to get to customers. It's another when there's barely anyone else there and to PURPOSELY ignore your customers. I would not advise anyone going there read more

I wouldn't be surprised if this place is ranked number 1 Taiwanese beef noodle in Vancouver. Not many places out there have the broth so clear yet flavourful that I even finished the soup! Don't miss out! 5/5! read more

One of my favs in this neighborhood. Solid beef noodles. They now have a lunch special which comes with a side and drink. Good place to catch up one-on-one with a friend. read more

Food is delicious and consistent every time. I tend to order the spicy premium beef while my husband always gets the trio. The food is always on point, however the past 3 times we've gone they've either mistimed the food or completely forgotten one of our items leaving one of us hanging without our order. A little disappointing in that sense but aside from that, delicious. read more

Great place but no gluten friendly dishes. It was well made and tasty. I'd go back but our gluten free family members have to miss out.

Came here a second time. The premium bowl is probably not worth it, except to try once for the drama and showmanship. The clear broth is a bit weak, probably recommend trying the spicy broth if you're ok with spicy. Dumplings are just ok, both the fried potsticker style and boiled. The popcorn chicken was decent - nice pepper flavor with the fried basil and green beans. read more

We came here on a Monday night for dinner. It was super easy to find street parking close to the restaurant and there was no wait to get a table. We each got the premium red beef noodle soup and it was well worth the $18.95. The soup was the best beef noodle broth I have ever tasted. I usually don't drink the broth in noodle soup, but I drank half of the broth here. The beef was tender and flavourful as it melts in your mouth. The consistency of the noodles were perfect. I will 100% be back for more. read more

Second time we've been, and the food was as delicious if not more than the last time - and this time it was takeaway! We got to Signature beef noodle soup, stewed beef on rice, taiwanese chicken on rice (with yummy taiwanese faves as bonus such as minced meat, stewed egg, tofu and sausage), garlicky cucumber and steamed twist rolls with condensed milk for dessert. The husband and 2 kids gobbled everything up! read more

Excellent noodles! Meat was tender, broth was piping hot, beefy flavor! Good portions! They didn't skimp at all! The tofu with pork floss and century egg was also tasty. We'll be coming back for sure. read more

I went to this resto during summer time. I ordered the beef noodle. I found there were things floating in my soup, I thought it was spices. But when I used chopsticks to take it out, it was a fruit fly.... I asked the server to get a new noodle soup for me... Unbelievably, there was also a tiny fruit fly in the second noodle soup. To be honest, I liked the flavor of the food. But I won't go there again because of this disgusting experience. read more

The best beef noodle soup yet. Honestly I didn't expect it to be this good. Raw beef slice noodle soup was amazing! Beef was soft and tender, soup was rich and tasty, not too oily, noodles had good texture. We also had the rib eye steak noodle soup. It's limited quantity, so it's good to go early during the day. Rib eye was super tender with bone in, and it also came with a bit of bone marrow. Soup was delicious too. Marinated side dishes are really good too, very well marinated with enough taste. Highly recommend the marinated deep fried eggs. read more

Horribly slow, 36 minutes for one bowl of noodle in non-peak hours. Ordering system unable to see ordering history. Food is ok, but pricey.

Special beef noodle soup were delicious!! Worth going back. Dumplings and services are ok only. Free street parking is possible. read more

One of the best Taiwanese noodle places in town. Good flavor good portion. Nice spot for a quick meal.

What delicious noodles and spicy beef and chicken! Everything was flavorful and delicious. Cooked to order, not just waiting premade in the kitchen. read more

Yum! Had the premium red beef noodle soup, they bring out thinly sliced raw beef and pour hot broth on it to cook it. You should remove the beef after a min or so, so that it doesn't get over cooked. They give you a small bowl to place the beef if you do remove it from soup. It's so good, both soup, and beef! Also ordered the pork belly bao, it was delicious and the steamed bun part is so soft! Would recommend it! read more

This is the only Taiwanese place in town I frequent! I love their signature beef noodle soup in the clear and the spicy soup. It's delicious and perfect for the colder weather. I recently tried their beef tendon noodle soup with the pickled vegetables and that soup is bomb. I've been told their rice dishes are good too but I've been too busy fawning over their noodle soups to jump ship to the rice dishes. Get their spicy wontons and the deep fried chicken! They only lose a point for the lack of vegetable dishes on their menu. However, if you like Taiwanese noodles, rice dishes and deep fried snacks, RedBeef is definitely worth a visit. read more

I ordered the signature beef soup and it was without a doubt the best beef soup I've ever tasted. Perfect broth, fresh noodles, melt-in-your-mouth beef. Their boba tea was excellent, too. Hope I get a chance to go back soon. read more

I order a lot of food, to the point that it may put a dent in my pocket, this was just one place that I hadn't enjoyed. This was strange because I adore beef noodle soup, I'm not sure if my taste may have been "off"however, I found the order of signature soup rather bland. read more

I had the salt and pepper chicken and it was fantastic. My buddy had the spicy red beef noodle bowl and also enjoyed it. Servers were kind and ensures your cups were always full. Enjoyable place read more

One if the tastiest beef noodle soups in town! Love the chunky pieces of beef in there which just melt in your mouth. They also have great bubble teas and appies! read more

Walking in, the smell of beef noodle soup transports me back to Taiwan, amazing!! We ordered the beef noodle soup, as well as the half beef half tendon noodle soup. Both were delicious, especially with a bit of the hot sauce added. We also ordered the beef potstickers, but they were overly greasy and the dumpling wrapper felt too thick, so I wasn't a fan. But definitely will be back for the beef noodles!! read more

Yeah!! The beef/tendon soup you never knew you needed. Just super good with nice zips of pickled goodness. Go.

It was the first time my gf and I had went to this restaurant and the place seemed busy. I had ordered the clear beef shank noodle soup and my gf had ordered the classic beef noodle soup. I also order the beef wrap and the dumplings. The wrap was pretty good however the dumplings was covered in oil. After eating the appetizers and 30 Mins into the meal. My gf got her soup and was starting to consume half her order. The server then came to me and said we don't have your order because there this item ran out. My gf asked "why didn't you tell us earlier" and the server just told us "The chef just told me now." All I have to say is this place lacks service period. read more

Loved it! Great broth, clean atmosphere and awesome service. Reminded me home (tw) One thing i thought was missing are the appetizers: garlic cucumbers, tofu with the thousand year old egg, etc. read more

TLDR: food: 3.5/5 ambience: 4.5/5 service: 5/5 Got the Taiwanese classic beef. It's great at first sip, but when the strong taste of pepper kicks in, it goes downhill. Let me be more specific, the initial taste of the broth is amazing, it has all the spices and the beefy flavors, chewy & delicious noodle, however... The spiciness of the pepper is overpowering the other taste of the beef noodle. I'm fairly certain if the pepper is reduced or even eliminated from the dish, it may be the best beef noodle in Vancouver, hands down. Shout out to Gill for her amazing service. She's insanely friendly, hence the 5/5 in this department. Ambience is good & clean. read more

This review is based on their Chinatown location. We passed by last week and noticed that where used to be Rhino, now it's this Red Beef. The menu photos were in the window and all dishes looked interesting. Our family went there today and I tell you, it's now our favorite Taiwanese beef noodles place to go to. Even the pickles that comes with the noodles were marinated in house style. Really good beef noodles, strong flavours. My hubby tried their chicken rice bowl and said it was excellent, with lots of umami and good portion. Along with the generous chicken, it also had a marinated tofu, boiled soy egg, cabbage and Chinese sausage. We will come back again to try their other dishes. read more

A great place for Taiwanese style beef noodle! The meat and tendon are extremely tender and the soup flavourful.

I ate there a few days ago, it was pretty good. Nothing crazy but ok

What's the point of a review when it's all been said? I let the Premium Red Beef Noodle Soup cook in its own broth for a few minutes and the beef and noodles are perfectly cooked, and soft, and delicious. The beef pot stickers and dumplings were simply delicious, too. Great friendly service. Just go. read more

This is by far the best Taiwanese Beef Noodle place in Vancouver and just as good as the top places in Taiwan. The noodles are tender and the flavorful broth is full of aroma. The choice of beef is also top notch. Two thumbs up! read more

Went for lunch and had the beef and tendon noodle soup. Rich but not greasy broth, well balanced, and lovely season. Good chew to the noodles. The brisket was very tender, as it should be, and the tendon was smooth and soft. The service was friendly. One star off for slow kitchen service; hopefully they will improve over time. Will definitely return. read more

I had a huge craving for beef noodle soup and this place did not disappoint! My SO got the popcorn chicken and rice, which I thought was a bit too salty, but still yummy. It didn't come with side dishes like usual Taiwanese restaurants, but a filling broth with chunks of beef and turnip instead. He said it's quite nostalgic. The only reason why I'm giving this 4* is because my beef noodle soup didn't come with the green pickled veggies. I asked the server about it and he had no idea what I was talking about. He asked someone else and mumbled something about how they don't always have it. How can beef noodle soup not have the green pickled veggie?!? Otherwise, this was a great meal. We left satisfied. read more
