Decent hole in the wall Chinese noodle place. Parking is available in the lot behind the alley. The interior is a bit dumpy and dated. Oh well. Staff were okay. No complaints. As of the time of writing, there is a daily special for each day of the week. I had the Lanzhou noodle soup and dumplings. The soup is quite plain. Tastes like something my friend's mother would serve me. Nice and basic, but tasted decent. The dumplings were pretty tasty. Not a bad spot to try if one is in the neighbourhood.

Small place with big flavors...offers really good stuff. Decors were Chinese inspired, clean place to eat and enjoy your favorite chinese noodles.looks like that noodle soup are famous in here. Excellent service, busy place full capacity when I visited plus non stop clients picking up orders. Appez: I tried the leek pancake, not bad but also not great.. i shouldnt ordered it,i dont like the smell..I also had the fried squid,my oldtime favorite whether the deep fried one or soft one I am always loving it. For my main entree I got the kung fu beef noodles, other place called it flat noodles w/beef.It smells so good because of the stir fried beef and young onions, the aroma really makes me salivate with mung sprouts that adds on the richness and flavors topped with tender and generous amout of thinly sliced beef, looks like they marinated the meat with their secret sauce,Cooked into perfection i fell in love with the dish. Noise level is average, theres free and paid and metered parking around. Good for family, small group and kids friendly. CASH and DEBIT only... Pleasant experience in here..i enjoyed the food except the leek pancake. I will visit again soon.

Kungfu noodles near kingsway -Vancouver by the london drugs area has these tasty handmade noodles and the meats are thinly sliced. It's a very clear soup, could use more hot sauce so I add chili oil on the side. This is their Tuesday deal so it's like having the gyoza on the side for cheaper/almost free (save $5.50) for the noodle and gyoza combo. I like the gyoza, very homemade. Delicious hand pulled noodles Surprisingly they are closed on wednesdays

Was craving dan dan noodles but the peanuty kind and not the straight up spicy kind. Googled and found this place. Dan dan noodles - lots of peanuts! Although very lacking in the spicy flavor. Nevertheless is not bad. The hand pulled noodles were good. It also comes with spinach which is new to me. Cumin lamb fried noodles - there were lots of lamb slices compare to other restaurants that make this dish. Im glad they allow you to choose the type of the noodle as well. I chose the knife cut noodles and it was a good amount of chewy. Deep fried chinese donut - very crispy and fresh. Definitely does not get fried in the morning and sit there like many restaurants. Taiwanese popcorn chicken - it came as a side to the cumin lamb as a meal. I expected it to be much smaller but it was the size of a regular appetizer dish. Good flavor and crispiness. Prices are fair as well. If you order from fantuan, there are often deals. Parking is limited to the side streets but since there is no dine in, there are also no parked cars.

I love noodles and for some reason I crave it even more when the weather turns cold. I've never heard of this place but it's in my hood so I checked it out. It was quite busy last night but since I was by myself, I was seated at the counter overlooking the kitchen. There were so many choices of noodles. Although I love beef noodles, I opted for dan dan noodles with a side order of red cooked chicken. Food came in a flash and my noodles were huge. I love how the sauce was not too peanut-y. The noodles were chewy with the right amount of sauce. The chicken seems to be their signature dish. It was alright, kinda salty and the dish was cold. Overall, I really like this place and can't wait to come back and try their other dishes. *Tip - they have daily special.

It's been ages since I've been to a Kung Fu Noodle (their other locations are downtown and UBC). I've walked by this KFN but never been in for a bite. They're located close to Peaceful Restaurant. We dropped in for a late Thursday dinner (around 9:00pm). There was about half a dozen people but it was essentially dead. There's 8 tables and a couple seats in front of the noodle master (for a total of 36 seats). Service is better than the norm; our waitress refilled teas several times. Menu is split into sides, chef specials, combo, mix noodle/chow menu/rice, clay pot noodle, noodle soup and house special/dim sum/drinks. They also have a daily special but that's only advertised outside. No mention of it anywhere else. - Lan Zhou stretched noodle ($8.95) - the broth is excellent; clean, fragrant and sweet. The slices of beef were tender. Noodles are quite thin and a tad soft for my liking but they're made fresh and pulled to order. - Braised ribs noodle ($9.95) - broth was similar to the Lan Zhou bowl. The braised ribs were disappointingly dry/overcooked. - Tomato & pumpkin beef brisket noodle ($9.95) - pumpkin, choy, cilantro and beef brisket. The noodles were slightly thicker than the first two bowls. Enjoyed these ones the most. They really soaked up the broth. Beef brisket was tender yet still retained its bite. Broth was light but sweet; unfortunately, it was salty. - Lamb dumplings ($9.95 for 12) - these were delightful! Lamb with a mix of diced carrots was fantastically gamey. Fresh, good texture to the wrapper and good meat ratio. Will have to request the thickest noodles next visit! 3.5 stars.

If you want piping hot noodles, a small show in the back of the chef hand pulling noodles and some delicious food, this place is great! Taking over a tiny shop that has seen its fair share of restaurants over the years, Kung Fu Noodle attempts to bring its unique variety and flavour to the Joyce-Collingwood area. I tried the Dan Dan noodles with meat sauce soup the other day and I was pleasantly surprised this $9.99 dish was served piping hot and stayed piping hot for the entire meal. It was good, it was hearty, I had to take about half of it home! Service was excellent - my tea cup was refilled several times and the bill came quickly when I asked. I look forward to trying this place again. Note: This place accepts cash or interac only.

tucked away around the corner, I've passed by this place many times. Another noodle place nearby was busy, so I decided to try this place. I am very happy I did. The noodles are hand pulled and cooked immediately upon ordering. Generous portions, good prices. Immense flavours. Parking in the area can be a bit of a nightmare though.

A family-owned restaurant that specializes in hand pulled noodles and Lanzhou noodle soup. Two noodles dishes and an appetizer all for only $30+. It was so much food for the two of us that we couldn't finish and ate it the next day as leftovers, super worth! -Lanzhou Noodle Soup (spicy) One of my favs as it has a light beefy broth, bouncy noodles, and tender beef shank pieces. I didn't find it that spicy so I would add my own chilli oil to it. So good! -Meat Sauce Noodles Super savoury, saucy and loaded carb dish. Yummy -Salt & Pepper Popcorn Chicken The portion was bigger than expected for only $6.50 Personally, I would've liked it fried a bit more for golden crunch but it was still crispy and delicious with the fried basil

A few of us came here for lunch. It was surprisingly not crowded during weekday lunch time. Maybe we were still early at around 1230 pm. The place is decent size with maybe 8-10 tables or which can seat 4. We ordered our own noodle dishes and you can choose the type of noodles. I had the beef brisket rice noodle (thick rice vermicelli) in pumpkin tomato soup. It was served in a claypot which was hot. So be careful when eating from it. I love the soup which is a bit tangy. There was plenty of meat and pumpkin and even quail eggs in it. I was not very hungry and had the leftover in a box. I also like how the dan dan noodles came with meat as most places have it just with peanuts. I will want to try that next time. Parking is terrible as the plaza has a few restaurants in there and so it is always very busy. Try the street parking though it can be tough to get a spot during prime hours.

Casual ambience. It is a normal Chinese restaurant (nothing fancy in terms of interior design) specializing the noodles or different types of noodles. Pricing is reasonable and their daily special is an awesome deal! We ordered some Sliced Beef & Ox Tongoe In Chili Sauce, fried thick noodles with beef and Lanzhou beef noodles. All of them were delicious. Local people or people from the neighbourhood visit this restaurant the most. Only the location is on a small street. It is not too obvious that people may not see it unless they walk by and see the sign. I wouldn't mind to come back and try other dishes.

I didn't even know they existed in Richmond! I guess there are just way too many new shops opening up that I can even keep track! We actually found this place by accident, we were hoping to grab a bite at the Shanghainese place just around the corner but they closed at 3 for their mid-day break, so we decided to give this place a try. Glad we did! The shop is tiny but very neat and clean inside, with a friendly lady server! Items ordered: Spicy Stretched Noodles ( Hand Pulled Noodles) $8.95 3.5 stars This is their Lan Zhou Beef Noodle, the broth is smooth and clean, very little to no oil at all except the chilli oil they put on top to make it spicy, if I knew that's what they mean by spicy, I will just order a regular one and put in myself. The beef slices were very tender, and the best part is the hand pulled noodles! You can actually see the Chef pulling the noodles as the orders goes in! I later checked with the lady server if I can specify the thickness of the noodles and the answer is affirmative! So if you want you noodles to be a certain thickness, make sure you tell them when you order! Pork Skin Jelly $4.95 3.5 stars I am a sucker for Savoury Gelatine type cold cuts, and this is such a great surprise for me! First time having this dish and I can see that it will be one of my regular items when I come here. The black vinegar and the chilli oil makes this a great starter dish! I will ask them if they can put some Cilantro on top next time! Soy Milk & Chinese Donut $3.95 4 stars Outstanding soy milk! Rich and creamy full of soya bean flavour, not like some that is watery and tasteless! The donut is crisp and fresh perfect match! Pan Fried Pork Dumplings $4.95 4 stars The dumpling skin is very thin which makes a lot of different, as this will not be as filling if the skin is too thick, the meat and vegetables filling is still juicy, this reminds me of the Japanese version of the same dumplings that they call: Gyoza! Great little noodle shop that serves good food and clean environment, hope that their fate is better then the one in Richmond! Final Score: 3.75 stars Verdict: Recommend!

Last minute decision to try Kung Fu instead of Peaceful across the street. Excellent decision! The noodles at Kung Fu are more delicate and a delightful consistency with some slight chewiness. Ordered dan dan noodles and noodles with beef sauce. Both could have been hotter in temperature but were delicious. Dan Dan was less greasy and overall better than Peaceful in my opinion. Quick service and no wait at 7:00pm on a Sunday.

A Gastronomic Awakening in Chinatown! You don't truly know…read moreuntil you go--and now that I've been, I'm haunted. As I write this, I am literally still dreaming of the Hong Kong Style BBQ Pork. It didn't just "eat" well; it dissolved into a decadent, sweet, fatty puddle of pure bliss. Walking in, the vibe is quintessential Chinatown: a bustling counter, a glass case showcasing glistening roasted treasures, and a seating area that trades fancy decor for pure, functional authenticity. We were clearly out of our element, probably looking like deer in headlights, but the staff met our confusion with warm smiles. Then came Bobby--the absolute heart and soul of this place. We walked in expecting the standard American-Chinese routine, but Bobby whisked us away to a cozy table and treated us like family. He started us off with a fragrant jasmine tea so naturally sweet and floral it didn't need a grain of sugar--perfect for a biting winter night. While we flirted with the Happy Hour menu, Bobby took the reins. You don't say no to a man with that much charisma and passion! On his expert recommendation, we pivoted to the Two-Meat Combo (BBQ Pork + Soy Chicken) with a side of their famous Roast Duck. The food arrived in a lightning-fast 10 minutes, but the real treat was Bobby's play-by-play on how each dish was prepared. You can taste the pride in every bite. The balance was masterclass: a symphony of sweet, salty, and umami. The meats were succulent, the skins were shattery-crisp, and the glazes were perfectly sticky. The undisputed heavyweight champion, however, was that Hong Kong BBQ Pork. Imagine the best "burnt ends" of your life, drenched in a caramelized, mouth-watering sauce that demands your full attention. We left Chinatown BBQ feeling more than just sated--we felt enlightened. If you're looking for a "one in a million" meal, let Bobby order for you. You won't regret it.

With about 9-10 people per table, we were treated to what felt like at least ten courses. There wasn't much time for photos, as conversation and catching up naturally took precedence. The standouts were the seafood fried rice and the green onion lobster and crab stir-fry -- rich, comforting, and generously flavoured, the kind of dishes that quietly anchor a long meal. It was a busy holiday weekend, and the restaurant was packed. Our original 7:00 p.m. reservation was delayed until 8:00 p.m., leaving many of us waiting outside in the cold. Once seated, the pacing felt off, with dishes arriving out of sequence, which gave the meal an oddly disjointed rhythm. A small apology or update from the staff would have been welcome, but none came. Overall, the food was very tasty, and I would consider returning -- particularly to explore more of their seafood offerings.
