Great place! It's not a small shop like the franchise locations, this one is run by Red Wing itself. Juan Ortiz helped me out with my purchase and the guy is a pro! He knows the product and was able to guide me to the shoes i ended up buying. Their storage area is much bigger so they'll have more sizes in stock, even large and extra wide sizes that i always have trouble finding. Highly recommended! read more

What a shame this store is!!! Let alone the lack of in Management at this particular store...Store #233. Had to return back to the store to get my money back from a over charged belt that was purchased. The sticker price on the belt was less then the scanned price in the system. Said to be a honest mistake, and they are sorry!! They should be sorry for having a incapable employee!! Great place to buy your boots and especially try them before buying, because every boot is made different. I was helped by Peter, very helpful and knowledgeable. He did not push/pressure me on purchasing a boot. I tried a number of boots, sizes and was also provided with long socks to get a great feel for the boot. Bad customer service. We called from the Torrance store and put a pair of boots on hold at this location since they had one pair in the size that my fiance needed and when we got there they had sold them. They tried to pressure my fiance into buying something he didn't want. Also the staff lacks knowledge on their merchandise and they claim hunting boots arent really hunting boots. They said that Redwing does not make slip resistant boots, which is not true. It was a bad experience at that location all together. Will not be returning to this store. If u want to visit a location near commerce and have a better experience, I recommend Whittier and Norwalk. read more

I bought a pair of boots at the Red Wing in the Commerce store, the same week after I was given a gift card and looking forward to use the gift card on the previous boots I purchased. I asked one of the guys If I can "Refund Re-ring" the purchase I am keeping the boots just an adjustment on the payment wanting to use the gift card. "He said He (forgot his name) was not able to refund them because they are not Red Wing those are Irish settlers". "Well I can but it's policy". It really didn't make sense to me by him saying, "Well I can" knowing and feeling he could have done a better job in his customer service. It felt like he could have helped me but he didn't feel like it sitting in the chair relaxed on his cell phone not wanting to get up or do anything. Again, Even though I am not returning the boots just an adjustment towards the payment and he was very adamant not helping and standing his ground. I left upset, knowing it could have turned out differently, and yet it did. I called the store in Norwalk, I talked to -Kandy- who understood my issue and gave them a call to know what the hell is going on. At this moment, I honestly felt like I was talking to corporate but I am assuming she must me be an supervisor/manager from Norwalk who took customer service very seriously as it should. After 5 min later she called me back and told me to talk to Peter. I talked to Peter at the Store and said, "We don't make a profit with the Irish Settlers." I am confused and again, I am not returning the boots just an adjustment towards payment. Overall, Peter and Kandy helped me tremendously wishing things could have turned out differently. Went in to the Red Wing store to purchase some boots. The Iron Ranger 8111 caught my eye was assisted by Omar he advised me that they run large and suggested I go a half size smaller also advised they need time to break in but after a short period they will be comfortable. He is knowledgeable about the product but is also honest when he does not know something (which I respect instead of making up something). I had my boots ordered for work here. I received a call that my shoes were for pick up. I arrived and was immediately greeted at the entrance. I have them the information of my order and was trying on my boots in no time. All my concerns were answered and I felt very comfortable with my purchase and the way the customer service was handled. For as much as you pay for these boots and shoes the least you can get would be good service, Was helped by a guy with a poker face ...Wasn't much help in regards to what I needed size or style. When I did pick some, he came back out saying they didn't have the size I needed and didn't offer info as when they would, once I found the ones I was going to buy he gave me a lecture on how I couldn't return them if they were worn ... which was fine because who does that right? So the day I'm going to wear them I take them out of the box and see they were worn, Not like just tried on, like "WORN" the bottoms looked dirty and roughed up like someone drug their feet around the cement. So I went back to return them and guess what? There was the same guy that sold them to me he had the same look on his face and didn't seem kind about the return or even helpful again! He told me they didn't have anymore in that style and if I didn't want those he'd have to order more, and once they got there he would or the store would let us know, Being they were already paid for. Couple weeks later I hadn't received any notification so I called and someone just nonchalantly says "yeah they are here" and hung up I'm all most sure it was the same guy lol what happened to they were going to let me know once they arrived? His name was Manuel I'm pretty sure as that is what the receipt said. I bought my 6692 Men's Chukka work boots there and I love them. The place is small but they have a lot of sizes and styles. I tried other Red Wing stores and they had the shoe but not the size or the size but not the shoe. The service was great they help you but don't pressure you to buy or try to force your choice.
