My husband and I love to shop here every time we visit the Citadel Outlet. What keeps us coming back are their streetwear and ongoing deals. So when they have what we want, we take full advantage! On our recent visit, we were looking for an outfit to wear at an upcoming retro-themed birthday party. While we were browsing, we were told there was a Mother's Day deal on women's attire and shoes. All accessories were discounted as well. Score! I bought a new jacket, shirt, and a pair of shoes. My husband also got a new jacket, a bucket hat, and crossbody bag. All items plus the discounts came out to be about $210. What a successful trip! The store is organized and can get hectic. It's always busy so it's best to have an idea of what you're already looking for. I always look on the app first to see if they have what's on my wishlist it in store. I bought a couple of soccer jerseys, but they weren't part of the sale. I liked the boonies 3.0 hat (ash blue is not online) and Mercedes/Petronas sling pack, so I recommend this place for F1 fans, but the branded merch will mostly be in the form of baseball caps. If you stop to people watch, their shoe choices look good. It was a late back to school shopping trip so we mostly stocked up on a pair of Sambas as well as shirts. My usual Adidas store in DTLA has been closed due to recent vandalism, so I visited the Citadel location instead. I came to return an online purchase that didn't fit, and the process was very quick and easy. Cashier (#826920) was friendly and efficient. While browsing, I found the store clean, well-stocked, and full of great sales. I even picked up a pair of shoes originally priced at $70 for only $38 after discounts! Another employee (Employee #849797) was extremely helpful, checked if I needed anything, offered me a coupon, and also ended up being my cashier. Carlos was also great -- he checked in with me a few times despite being busy helping other employees and customers. I really appreciated his professionalism and speed. Not every employee greeted me, but everyone seemed focused on helping customers and keeping the store running smoothly, which is what matters most. I'm usually a Nike person. This was the only Adidas store that visited on this trip. This store is pretty big and had a decent amount of assorted merchandise. I wasn't planning on buying anything at this store. I walked in and looked at the sneakers. Right off the bat these bright pink kicks caught my eye. It was the Ivy Park Ultraboosts. They were so nice that I knew I had to get them. I don't even like pink, lol. I'm a size 8 and there was one box left with that size. I looked in the box and only one shoe was in there. I asked the associate for help. He was really helpful. He looked in the back stock and even had to stock person go check for it. It turns out that those were the last size 8s and the other shoe was the display attached to the cord. It was pretty much on the top shelf and I know that no one messed with it cuz the cord wasn't long enough for them to try it on. They cut the cord and brought me the other shoe. This store had aaaaaalot going on today... rain and all! I came in to see what deals they had and they had a lot of great deals! I got (2) packs of socks, a bucket hat and shoes all under $100! I kept coming across shoes that I liked but I didn't see my size and it was hard to flag a team member down because the music was LOUD, they had filming and promos happening in-store... Unorganized. Staff not knowledgeable. Confusing and conflicting info from different staff. All resulting in overcharging. Discovered the overcharge afterwards and returned to store within half an hour to let them know discount was not applied fully. Manager and 2 associates ganged up on me accusing that I was making mistakes!! Nonsense! On top of that, other reviews are correct. Not a lot of selection. I recently visited this location taking me approximately 45 minutes . Unfortunately, I did not find anything I liked and decided to return a pair of shoes I had purchased at the Cerritos location. When I approached the register, the employee assisting me seemed visibly frustrated with my return and went to consult a manager. During this time, another employee was able to assist multiple customers before the original employee returned and informed me that, as an outlet store, they could not accept returns from a regular retail location. I was surprised by this policy, as it was not clearly communicated at the time of purchase. Having worked in retail myself, I understand that store policies exist for a reason, but denying a return in this manner felt more like an internal decision to avoid taking a loss rather than an official company-wide policy. Furthermore, throughout my shopping experience, I was not greeted or assisted by any employees, which may have influenced my decision to return the product rather than make an exchange. While I appreciate Adidas as a brand, this experience was disappointing. Clearer communication regarding return policies and a stronger focus on customer service could significantly improve the in-store experience. They cram a lot of stuff into a small space. Well, it's a large location, but it just felt small because of how much stuff is inside. There is little room to really wander. I can't tell you how often I had to stop and let someone squeeze by me because there was just no other way around. It didn't really make for a good shopping experience if I'm being honest. I also wish they were doing a better job in keeping things organized. Stuff was misplaced, either by size or even full on area. I guess this is on me, but I bought a pair of pants that I really liked, only to get home to realize it was a KIDS large not an adult. Today at around 11 a.m. my middle-aged mother who is not a fluent in English speaker visited this store. She had her Adidas gift card damaged by an Adidas employee with long acrylic nails. The employee who damaged her Adidas gift card did not offer my mother a replacement card, and only redirected her to Adidas general customer service. Adidas Customer Service was unfortunately unable to help my mother with her complaint, and redirected her to contact the Adidas Citadel Outlet store she visited. I am leaving this review because the Adidas Citadel Outlet store is behaving unethically by not offering a replacement store credit/ gift card to replace the damaged gift card one of their employees destroyed. The Adidas Citadel Outlet store has also been unwilling to answer phone calls made directly to their location. As this Adidas is located in the Citadel Outlet, I already come into this store knowing I'll get a better deal here than anywhere else. I am a frequent shopper here and the customer service has never been great. Several employees just talk amongst themselves and never greet you upon entering, but on my most recent visit here I was kindly helped by an employee named Johnathan. I was interested in looking for shoes I could take with me to Europe. Therefore, something light and long-lasting. They were having a weekend sale that gave a discount as follows: $10 off 50 / $25 off $100 / $50 off $150 On top of that deal, they had several shoes available for BOGO 50% off! I almost walked out of there with four pairs of shoes before I realized I didn't even need that many!! Johnathan was very helpful during my visit. He gave several recommendations for which shoes would work better for me and for my boyfriend as well. In the end, I picked the racers for myself and the samba classics for my boyfriend. The sambas were $70 retail value but put my racers at the additional 50% off rate, making them go down from $45 to $22.50! In order to hit that $100 quota, I added some shoe cleaners to my order which were also discounted to $8. Overall, I spent $75 on 3 items and was very happy with my purchase! This store is horrible! Please check actual prices before checking out. They have a sign with 40% off the entire store to lure people in. But once you get to the checkout it's only on selected regular price items. They are constantly changing the price on their items and even remove the tags and make their own prices. I once tried purchasing a coat and was curious to see how much it was online. To my surprise the coat was $190 (REGULAR PRICE) and the coat they had in store was $220 but was missing the actual tag. The coat had a red tag with the made up price. When I asked them if they were making their own prices, they had no response. Even though the regular price online was cheaper, they couldn't honor that price. They are definitely PRICE GOUGING! This store used to be incredible 2 years ago. Now it's a disaster with the worse management and worse prices. Oh one more thing, they have a rewards program but won't allow you to use any of your coupons with your purchase anymore. We asked for assistance in search of a Galaxy jersey but the size we wanted was out of stock; that didn't stop my husband from asking again to the associate that was ringing us up she was kind enough to check the second time around. The staff seems a bit friendlier than the Nike outlet at the same location. Still, the employees seem limited in their knowledge of the items they sell. So your buying a pair of gym pants and a young teenager comes by and pushes you to the side. Your like oh well she's a teen didn't see me so I keep on shopping. Next I go get socks and the same thing happens now I get elbowed and of course only the mother knows who she is since God knows I've never seen her before. At this point I said "excuse me? did you not see that you hit me"? to which her response was to let her ice cream cone go straight to my face and hair with a huge line of people just looking on. She then becomes foul mouth didn't know there where so much profanity one can say in less than 15 seconds and goes violent with body slamming herself on me and everyone still just looking on! Called for a manager and by that time now I had the veteran ex gang mother doing the same cussing horribly and threatening to no end. This woman was morbidly obese and I truly feared for my safety. My teen came to help only to get pushed and thrown around my the mother who was now aggressive and assaulting. Seriously no one helped no manager in site until 15 min later only to do nothing and say nothing. Security took over 30 min only to say they could not call police and of course did nothing. I was left breathless, and seriously fearing the worst all over god knows what? I waited for over an hour and police never came so I left with a terrible feeling of being wronged in an incident that could of possibly ended much worse and no one helped. Sorry this is not how I was raised, compassion, respect for others and lending a hand when in need still should prevail. Needless to say this is the last I visit Adidas the staff needs to be made of aware of how they can assist in case this scenario happens again. We live in angry, violent and uncertain times. We need to know how to relearn the goodness and kindness in people and know how respond in cases like this. Horrible incident, bad staff who showed no empathy no concern for a client's well being.
