I'm not much of an outlet shopper. But because I'm in retail, it is important I visit outlets to get a gauge on how that business is going. Having run an outlet store before, I have much respect for the employees who work and manage these stores. Outlet centers are a non-stop barrage of customers who are looking for bargains, and some of those folks have no regard for putting things back where they got them or expect luxury-level service for bargain bin items. Now, the thing about Citadel Outlets is the roster of brands is impressive. You will find a nice selection of stores, and because it's in the heart of SoCal, you will score some great finds, but the cost is navigating some of the clientele who once again, have NO concept of the social contract and treat their surroundings like trash. Case in point, while I was in the shopping center, a lady walking her dog as she was shopping let her dog deficate on the sidewalk in a sea of people and just left it. There are also plenty of people on their phones playing videos or whatever at full blast. So, if you don't mind people being absolutely anti-social and infringing on basic societal courtesy, you might be okay with shopping here. Of course the center cannot chose it's customers, but in order to score deals, you will most likely have to navigate through some bad behavior, but the center itself has a great assortment of brands- but didn't really see much in the way of dining. Also, the parking was good- but I did visit on a Tuesday afternoon, so it was off peak. Overall, Citadel outlets has an impressive array of outlet stores, but the usual downsides of outlet shopping apply, and a lack of decent food options detracts from the overall experience. read more

You can spend the day here, but we didn't. There truly is something for everyone. Wanted to get new Oakleys and some Levis so I checked this off my list. My friends went and got new shoes and pants. There are snacks and eating areas here and there aren't long roped off lines here. Parking can be a pain, but we really like this Outlet and it's variety. read more

The shops at the Citadel are great lots of bargains lots of namebrand stores, high-end stores like Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Nike, Adidas, Marc Jacobs, and even more. Shoes at Nike which normally cost over $100-$150 can be as low as $49 a pair. Services is yet remain to be determined. Parking is best achieve using the level parking structure. We visit here maybe once a year, as it's out of the way, and the Outlets of Orange are closer, but you have to appreciate the fun architecture and atmosphere of this place. I remember first coming here in 2003. They felt like true outlet stores, with heavily discounted merchandise. Today, it feels like a regular-priced mall. And many items are not cheap. For example, I was interested in a pair of jeans, but checked online, and Macy's was cheaper with their current sale! Several places had buy one, get one 50% off, so 25% off total, which you can find at a regular mall. There also used to be a larger variety of stores, especially in housewares. I would say 80% of the stores are now clothing or shoes. There is a Disney Outlet for toys, Samsonite for luggage, and Vitamin World. There are, of course, sunglasses. The food court is OK, but it gets very busy on the weekends. The only real sit-down restaurant is Ruby's. One thing to know: the cell phone reception is REALLY bad! Several locations have free wi-fi for customers, but I found a few required a password. Another not-so-smart thing is that the bathrooms near the food court have only 3 single-use bathrooms! There are larger ones towards the middle of the mall. But near a food court? Come on guys. read more

I love living down the street from the Citadel Outlets. It's such a fun and ideal spot for shopping, eating, and even gift hunting. There are so many options to choose from, and it truly has something for the whole family. My boyfriend and I love coming here for little date nights, and there's always something new to browse. I especially loved how they decorated for Lunar New Year this year, it was beautifully done and made the whole center feel extra festive. One of my must-stops is Auntie Anne's (duh), but there are tons of great spots to check out. If you're ever in the Commerce area, it's definitely worth a visit. read more

I was in town only briefly so I only had a chance to go to one store here, and boy do I wish I'd had more time. This place is HUGE! Gotta be the biggest outdoor mall I've ever seen. Citadel Outlets has been clutch this holiday season! I've visited these outlets many times during this year and it has been a game changer! The outlet has over 100+ retailers so you can find gifts for loved ones or gifts to treat yourself. Parking can be a pain especially during this holiday time. They have 2 neighboring parking garages as options. Crowds can get claustrophobic inside since many people are last minute shopping such as myself. Lol. My personal shopping destinations are: Nike Adidas New Balance North Face The Disney Store The deals are insanely good. 50% off the entire store sometimes even more depending on the upcoming holiday. They decorate seasonally so they have one of the largest Christmas trees on display. Overall, Citadel Outlets has been a go to destination for some retail therapy and a treasure hunt to find some really good deals on sneakers and apparel. This outlet is convenient. They have the necessities you need for a quick purchase of clothing, shoes, etc. Customer service was good and the prices are very reasonable depending on the stores. They have the latest fashions and shoes. Parking can be difficult at times but they do have valet parking. Not far from. Commerce Casino and the DoubleTree Hilton hotel. It's been at least 25 years since I last shopped at the CITADEL OUTLETS and WOWZA! So much has changed!! It has got to be THE BEST outlet I've shopped at. THE LARGEST Live-cut Christmas tree in the world is here!! Yep, larger than Rockefeller Center and Disneyland's tree!! Our favorite stops of the day: -Dodgers Clubhouse -Nike -Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory -Marc Jacobs -Guess -Oakley We stopped by Charley's in the food court and enjoyed a Cheesesteak sandwich! After that, we were pretty exhausted so we didn't get the chance to check out the rest of the outlet. Plan ahead!! We found parking in the structure, which was quite a bit of a challenge. It almost felt like we were at Disneyland...so busy!! But I think there are multiple parking areas since the property is now twice the size it used to be!! The ambiance felt safe, clean, and I found some pretty good discounts. I didn't think of it while we were there, but I should've stopped by the customer service office to pick up a shopping pass for potentially more savings!! I believe you can always discover great deals at outlets, so I see the value in shopping here even when it's busy especially during the holidays. read more

I visited the Citadel Outlet a couple of times in the last month. First to get a great handbag at a reasonable price at the Coach store. There, the selection was great, the staff greeted me promptly when I arrived, and offered assistance. Even with many holiday shoppers the lines to get in and to pay went quickly. Also, also the Citadel was decorated nicely. The Christmas Tree was huge! On my second visit, after Christmas, I went to the Ralph Lauren store, I noticed the staff there was friendly and the store was well stocked. However I was very disappointed with the prices. They were the same as retail and there was not much on sale. read more

One of the better outlets without having to drive too far. Unless you plan to go out to Cabazon or some other far outlets, Citadel will do just fine and usually offer comparable deals. Good range and variety of stores for whatever you're looking for. There's plenty of parking around, I don't I've ever really had any issues finding parking in the lot, might have to circle a few times though. There's also a couple parking structures, but I've never used them. They also have valet which runs about $10 and the staff does a good job from the one time I've tried it I've gone random weekends, black Friday, Saturday after Thanksgiving and honestly unless you love the BF/holiday rush, just go on a random weekend. The deals are pretty much the same and you'll be less stressed from trying to park, to waiting in lines to get in stores, or lines to pay. They do a good job of directing traffic into Citadel and the parking lots, but they do a horrible job of it on the public streets. Maybe they're not allowed to or they can't hire police to direct traffic on the local streets, but they really should. Citadel traffic flow to get in is horrendous. If you're coming from the 710, good luck when you get near the 5 area. It can take hours on BF just to get to the parking lot with how many lanes merge, the people coming from the 5 and all the surrounding traffic. Dining options are pretty limited aside from typical food court options, just do your shopping and go eat somewhere else. read more

When I go shopping it's always sunny. It only rains when I'm out of money. Shopping used to be my favorite past time. Now I just don't have the time, so when my aunt, who was in town visiting, wanted to do some shopping I was excited! She was looking for some bargains, so off to Citadel we went. It's been years since she was last here, and she was surprised by how many stores there are now. At least 100. You'll also find some eateries to grab food or a snack. I do wish there were more sit-down restaurants. Ruby's is the only one. A place with a bar or even a wine bar would be nice. I tend to shop more after a cocktail. I recall that Citadel hosts events during the year, especially for Halloween & Christmas. Since it was summer there was a live DJ outside and a dance area complete with a giant boombox and headphones. I was digging the music. They are also having a Shopping Extravaganza on Sept 20th. Ticket holders will get exclusive discounts and a catered lunch. There will be live entertainment and opportunities to win over $90,000 in retailer gift certificates and prizes. My experience here is usually like Black Friday shopping, so 3 stars is mainly for the parking situation and the hassle. It's always a hassle to get in and out of the lot. The police directing traffic does help with getting in and leaving, but getting out of a parking spot and navigating the lot is always a challenge. Every year I've been there, there's usually 2-3 accidents in the lot--people backing into other cars or cars refusing to let others merge, so definitely be careful. Aside from that, the shopping experience is what you'd expect: long lines at the stores, though some places have it figured out with well-organized queues. There are lots of all the popular stores and some I don't see too often, and I feel like each year there are new ones- that pop up...or maybe I just haven't noticed the smaller stores before. For non-holiday shopping, it's much easier to get parking, but the sales are not as good as during the holiday season. But it is nice to drop by once in a while to see if there are any random deals and just to see what the stores may have. read more

Came here after not being impressed by the Outlets at Orange on our last trip. Wasn't sure about this neighborhood because it seemed sketch, but once we parked in one of the public Citadel lots and walked in, we were very impressed. It was very clean, well-lit, and we loved the Halloween decorations and plants. Everything was tasteful. The food court exceeded expectations, and there's a sheriff's office there so it must be safe! Some of the outlets don't have very good sales (you call yourself an outlet?) Some are more upscale like Tumi--their prices seemed pretty similar to regular Tumi stores. Citadel stood out because it has a Disney outlet. It wasn't as busy as Disney outlets we've been to near Disney World in Orlando so there were so many more Disney items to choose from! It was nice because the Citadel Outlets are pretty close (ish) to Disneyland. I also liked the Columbia factory store. There were 2 here for some reason. When there was a deal when you buy 2 pairs of sandals and 1 store didn't have the sandal I wanted in my size, I bought the other sandal I liked and then the other store honored the deal when they had the sandal I wanted in my size. read more

Haven't been to the Citadel Outlets in several years! Many of the stores have changed over and now a very nice selection now. Several of the stores are very large now. Levi's store is two stores with a very large selection of items for Men, Women, and Kids! The Gap is also larger than the typical store. In the Center Court there is a Giant Size Boombox and Head phones. Definitely a great photo op location and many were doing just that. The music coming out, a bit too loud, but the quality was there and no distortion. Restrooms are very nice. Clean and deluxe. I usually dread restrooms in shopping centers. Very nice surprise! Parking is always a bit tough here. We all want to use the parking lot vs the parking structure. The structure is on one end of the shopping complex. With outlet shopping, typical you fill up with each stop, and then like to drop back at the car vs carrying into other shops. I got there on a weekday just as they were opening and able to find a lot space. They also offer Valet parking, but when I am trying to find a deal at the outlet stores, that just doesn't appeal to me! Typical Outlet stores now with pricing. Most of the items are full-price with discounts (30-50% off). I found a cute dress at Michael Kors but at $299 even with the 30% off plus additional 20%, couldn't bring myself to buy it! I did find a nice casual dress at The Gap with the discount for $39.99. The Viori store, all full priced items were not discounted, a few racks of sale items. With a Viori store a mile away from home, hard pass on that. Overall, had a fun morning shopping! read more

Great selection of stores and the employees in most everywhere we went were very friendly and there if you needed help with something. It was one of the more busier malls I have seen in a while. We pulled off because we hadn't been in a while and wanted to grab a bite to eat. The Coach store was beautiful, great variety and two stories which was very cool. Deals throughout the mall were ok. Sometimes I think you can get the same prices if not better online or in a regular store. But it is fun to wander around. The Dr. Martin store was one of my favorites and I think had the best deals (along with some stuff you cannot find elsewhere). Again staff was very nice and was around when people needed something. One of the nicest outlet malls in California and I have been to most. The parking is very easy and fairly large, and free! I have gone several times and the last time was this past Sunday with a good friend. They have a nice food court ranging from places like Panda Express to Piology, and a nice Mediterranean joint Lamajoon. They also have the Pronto cafe for breakfast and then the place we usually have lunch at; Ruby's Inn. We probably went in and browsed through 20 shops. They have huge outlets like Nike, Coach, Levi's, and Sketchers, among others. Lots of shops to find all your items, and i recommend getting there early since it does tend to get crowded by noon. This place has many great selections to shop from. The parking lot is not great. I like that they offer valet but there is not enough spaces for disabled people. Citadel Outlets - Holiday decorations - Outlet Stores Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Spontaneously dropped by here with my friends when we were in the area. I've surprisingly have never been here despite driving past its iconic Assyrian castle statues from the freeway. It is quite busy on a regular weekend, so I can't imagine what it is around the holidays. There is standard lot parking and there is a parking structure as well. It seems that tour buses also drop off their patrons here. I'm not the biggest fan of some of the shops here as I am not much of an avid clothes shopper, but I thought it was nice that they have a physical Disney store here. I have not seen one of those in ages. There are standard middle level shops (Mauya, H&M, etc.) you can find at any mall and then a bit higher end (Coach, Tory Burch, etc.) outlet style shops so I'm sure you can find some good deals. There's also a Dodgers shop, perfect for tourists who are visiting abroad or are just Shohei Otani obsessed. There's a good number of closed shops but things are taking up the spots soon. There are some displays when I was there for Lunar New Year as well, which is nice. There are a couple of quick stop eateries and a food court in one area too. Stopped by on Saturday, 04/26/25. I haven't been here in a really long time. This is a huge outlet - lots and lots of good deals. In terms of food, I personally feel like there are not a lot of options. There is an outdoor food court which has Subway, Panda Express, Chipotle, Lollicup, etc. If you have been to the Westfield Santa Anita mall before then you can tell that the Santa Anita mall has way more options. read more

Very bad experience at boss store about 3 weeks ago I witnessed Stephanie who looks nice and attentive threaten a customer who was trying to exchange a trouser he bought earlier with a smaller size. The conversation between both parties was very civil the customer was very curious on why she is able to provide him a small size and when it got a bit busy at the checkout she said I will have to call the security on you if you don't leave. Personally I didn't see any wrongdoing from the customer who was extra cautious using his vocabulary. I do believe Stephanie did a bad job and she doesn't deserve to be a store manager read more

Love coming here because they always have the best deals. I often leave with a few items. They also have a great selection of food and drinks not only in the food court, but all around. The restrooms are well-kept. There is always someone making sure they stay clean. The service is great at the stores I visit most. Went here couple of days before Christmas and it was packed with traffic because people was looking for parking. I park at one of the parking lot off the mall they provide. I only went to the Disney store hoping to find something cool but I didn't and left the mall less the an hour. I didn't have time to explore the mall sadly. read more

Visited over Labor Day weekend, so it was packed, but that's to be expected. I usually shop Ontario Mills or Cabazon, and Citadel measures up well. Same stores, good pricing, and plenty of options so decent selection of stores and stores we stocked well. Parking is TIGHTt, but a plus is the Tesla chargers on site. I hit Cole Haan and Lululemon, and both had solid deals. Definitely a good outlet option in the area. read more

Love a good outlet mall! Citadel has a nice selection of stores I shop at like Lululemon, Aerie, American Eagle, and Nike. If you hate paying full retail like me it's worth the trip, parking in the structure is free and relatively painless - easier than looking for it outside/in front of the stores. And yes the deals are good! They typically have some form of entertainment or promotions going on, last time I went it was a Dodgers/Polo collaboration with a dancing bear and giveaways. It seems to be a mix of local families and tourists, it's busy but I've never had to wait long in line to check out at any of the shops. read more

You can't go wrong with Citadel. Come early around 10 am to see if you can snap up some deals at the shops before it get busy early afternoon. There's plenty of free parking in the lots or inside the parking garage. FYI All shops open at 10 am. Starbucks is open earlier as is Ruby's. All retail shops open at 10 am prompt. read more

Sorry to give a reality check on this. but there are no great DEALS at the Citadel. The prices in these "outlets" are higher than what you can pay online, crowds are massive as well. Plus parking here is like parking at LAX, the food court is BLEH well what were you expecting. It is however very nicely done on the level of the Commons at Calabasas or Caruso's Americana but 10 times bigger. Great for kids and so much bling to look at, come one, come all! read more

Stores had good service for the most part, the selection was even better and there were a lot of deals! It is decorated for Christmas which is a nice little touch to the atmosphere.
