The store is big and two stories, which was nice since it gave us plenty to look at--even though it was a bit busy. We skimmed both levels, and despite the crowds, everything was well organized, simply displayed, and very clean. The employees were super helpful, answered all our questions, and made the quick visit feel easy and stress-free. Disappointing experience at this Coach Outlet. I purchased a zip polka dot wallet on 11/29/25 and later noticed it had a defect--the letter "C" was missing from the logo. I returned on 12/15/25 to exchange it. Floor staff said the same color wasn't available but offered a swap for the same style in another color. At the register, the supervisor refused to honor the exchange or acknowledge the original pricing, even though the item was defective. I wasn't asking for a refund or upgrade--just an even exchange. After deciding to not risk being disappointed with a replacement from Barstow, I decided to stop by at the citadel coach to exchange in person. This location is 2 stories high and has a variety of things to choose from. I worked with JR to exchange the bag with no issues and my sister and I shopped around a bit and put a few things on hold. After about an hour, we returned to make our final selections. I ended up getting 2 items for my sister and a compact mirror myself. I appreciate that the workers spent time looking for the details such as stitching and scratches and even showed us additional styles. They have a line to enter the store, even when it's not full, and they have an armed guard that just makes you feel uncomfortable and less likely to shop. I went to this store to trade a lightly used purse in, based on Coach website. When the cashier didn't understand what I asked, she looked at my purse and asked what I wanted to do? I requested a manager, who also pretended not to know about this program. They didn't really seem to want to help me. Another customer spoke to me about my experience l, and confirmed i was right.I called Coach outlet in Ontario, and they knew exactly what I was talking about and how they could best assist me. I tried calling the citadel store, but there were a series of prompts, yielding no answer. Called because a bag I received (that was packaged poorly; shoved in a plastic bag, no filler, and no packaging to protect the tote), and have not yet used, had an issue where the threading on one side of the strap had come loose. Considering I had not used the bag, because I hadn't decided I wanted to keep it, I thought I might sell it, and that's how I noticed the manufacturer mistake. The bag is still under warranty. But when I called the outlet store itself in Commerce, CA, the representative told me to take it to my nearest outlet store so they could look at it. I explained the nearest outlet store was about 2 hours away; I asked if I could just ship it back, and she said it wouldn't be a good idea because it would cost me shipping (I guess 2 hours worth of gas would be better than having to pay a small shipping fee, but whatever). The Coach Outlet in Commerce, CA, needs to direct their representatives again to make sure they understand how things work. If the bag is under warranty, and it's their mistake, it's NOT my job to drive two hours away to have the bag LOOKED AT. So I thought, what a hassle. Just lower the cost of the bag and put it on Poshmark. Then today I thought, "No... Let me Google the Coach Outlet Customer Service number, and THEY were helpful. Guess what...
