Joel has been beyond helpful and accommodating to help find boots that fit my dad right! My dad has very wide feet and he has just recently switched to steel toe and it wasn't nearly wide enough for his foot. He has worn redwing boots for 35+ years exclusively. Okay, this review is based off two purchases: First one went well, but a younger lady helped us out. She was great, or pushy, very helpful, and overall an enjoyable experience. Second time: came in today to buy a pair of shoes for my dad for Father's Day. I understand they may not carry many In my dads size (he has a very small shoe size). But I totally didn't appreciate him giving me a pair that was clearly worn... and returned: creased and smashed up. I ended just getting a size bigger to at least give something to my dad: but not before he tried so hard to upsell me on soles. So pushy, I literally was ready to walk out of there. He clearly didn't like it, as my receipt was handed to me in a bad mood. After I walked out, I went straightto the Norwalk location: they had the size I needed, and even let me know of SO many perks that come with your purchase that the anaheim location did not. read more

Unfortunately, the quality of this store is not what it used to be. I have purchased many boots from this location, including the heritage Chelsea Boots, heritage Mac Toe with Gortex lining, various work boots, and a bunch of their accessories. I live down the street, and historically, I have had great experiences here. That is why, this location has been my go to for Red Wing purchases. That was back when Dave was here. Now, it seems that they can't keep employees, and a majority of the ones I interact with are not knowledgable. As an example, when I walked in, I was ready to purchase a pair of Iron Rangers with the Traction Tread. These are a new style that combine the Iron Ranger Upper and the Mac Toe Wedged Sole. When I asked the staff member, a younger gentlemen, he looked at me all confused. As I explained what I was interested in, he commented that they don't exist. When I showed him the boots on the Official Red Wing website, he looked up the style number and said there are none in stock. He said he couldn't order them, and recommended that I order them directly from the Red Wing website. To me, it seems that they are more interested in selling you accessories than in providing an excellent boot experience. I can't tell you how many times I've been told I should take advantage of their "buy 5 pairs of socks and get one free" deal. Afterwards, I went to the Brea location, and was totally impressed. The staff are very knowledgable and friendly. They knew exactly about the Iron Ranger Traction Tread, and even provided a lot of useful information. Even though they didn't have the Traction Tread in stock, they said they will gladly order them for me. I ended up purchasing a pair of boots from them. Do yourself a favor, visit the Brea location for your Red Wing Boots purchase. I hope that the Anaheim location improves itself. Perhaps I can give them another chance in the future. read more

It was time for new work boots or try and get my current boots repaired. So I went in thinking I was just gonna drop them off and get them fixed. I was greeted by one of the salesman and showed him my current worn out work boots. He said the charge $110 to pit a new soles and condition the leather. I really like these boots but started looking around and saw the Irish setter style boot. I asked him to grab my size so I can see how they fit, bam I loved the fit and feel of the boot. I ended buying a new pair of the Irish setters, the only thing I didn't like about them was the show strings, they felt really thin and kept coming loose no matter how tight I tied them. I will be back to drop off my old boots to get repaired that way I have a backup. read more

Bought shoes for the first time at the Euclid store , heard great things about their work boots the buying experience was ok how they measure your feet so you can get the right size, is helpful but the salesman Francisco made you try their socks and tells you to get the separate insoles than the ones the boots come with, agreed to buy the different insoles , but he didn't mention that he charged me for the socks, when I asked why was the price a lot higher he said because of the tax not telling me that he was charging an extra 25.99 that I didn't know, didn't really appreciate that ,but that's the way people do business . I came here to purchase some work safety shoes! The location was a bit hard to find, so FYI - it's located a couple of blocks down from the Kaiser Permanente building and the 91 freeway Euclid exit. I worked with Dave, who was super nice and helpful. He has such a chipper attitude and really made my experience very pleasant! :) I was recovering from a cold that day and he even offered me some cough drops! Super nice guy. He allowed me to try on a ton of different types of shoes - and certainly made a point of putting each shoe on for me, using a gold shoe horn! Dave informed me that he does this because he's "old school" and really believes in giving his customers the same level of customer service that was to be expected in the good ol' days. I really appreciated that! Unfortunately, the first time I came in, they didn't have the exact shoes I wanted in my size. I also had a difficult time deciding between steel-toed and regular soft-toed shoes. However, Dave encouraged me to keep looking into different styles online to see what I liked, as well as allowed me to take some pictures of the models they carried in store. I later called back and asked Dave to order several different styles in my size. Approximately 3 weeks later, Dave called me up to let me know my shoes had come in. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to order all of the models I had asked for, as some of the shoes only become available as the seasons change. With that, I came back to the store, tried on two different pairs of shoes and immediately made a decision from there. I was in and out on my second visit in literally 10 minutes and received great customer service from Dave, as usual! Overall, I had an excellent experience - and best of all, I LOVE my new shoes! They're super comfortable and very durable. Best of all, they're slip-resistant, so a clutz like me can run around in the rain, without worrying about tripping! :) If I could give Red Wing Shoes just one piece of feedback, I would hope they could carry a bigger selection of shoes in the future for women, as the store mostly consists of men's shoes. I also wish they could make more stylish safety shoes for women, considering the men have some really nice and rather trendy collections, such as the Heritage collection! I just bought my 3rd pair of redwings ever and it's the best experience I've had while buying workboots. A lot of other places try to steer me towards other shoes or don't take my needs seriously and buying any work gear can be an irritating experience as a woman but not here. Francisco helped me and listened to what I needed, helped make sure the fit was perfect, and that I got the right insoles. The staff was also great about making sure the store wasn't overcrowded and even stayed efficient and friendly despite the fact the computer system was down so it was taking a long time to process payments. I've been to the Red Wing Store in Long Beach twice and the service was very good both times but compared to this location in Anaheim, it can elevate to another level. I purchased my second pair of boots on Sunday--about 2 months after my first pair--from the location in Long Beach but when I got home and tried on the boots with my work socks, they fit tight. So I needed to exchange them. I didn't feel like driving back to Long Beach to make the exchange so I looked up a location that was closer and was pleasantly surprised that there was one 4 minutes away from my client's home in Anaheim. During a lunch break, I drove to the Anaheim location and as soon as I walked in I noticed a difference compared to the location in Long Beach. A very hearty greeting from Dave. I walked up to the counter and explained that I needed an exchange due to a fitting issue with the boots. He told me to go up half a size and gave me more information on a boot that caught my eye. Unfortunately it wasn't in stock but he said he could get it from another location unless I wanted to go get it myself the same day. I wasn't going to be able to go that day anyway so I took him up on his offer and we made plans for me to return the following day about the same time. So the next day rolls around and I head back to the store and Dave greets me in the same way he did the day before. He had my boots ready to go so I tried them on and it was instant love at first fit. I decided to wear them out of the store but since I know I needed to prep them first, I took them off in the parking lot and put them back in their box. Dave made the exchange a real great experience. He went out of his way to pick up the boots for me as well as taking a genuine care to ensure that I was informed about the pros and cons of the boot compared to others. I am definitely going to buy another pair of Red Wing boots, maybe even this weekend if I don't have to work on Saturday because I absolutely love my boots so far. Stopped by to pick up my boots as they were being replaced under warranty for a manufacturer defect. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Mason. He told me he'd be with me as soon as he finished up with the previous customer. Sure enough, he came over, and asked me what I was looking for. I had no idea and told him that my boots needed to meet some certain specifications. Mason looked at the list of requirements I provided him and set me up with a couple of great options. He walked me through the pros and cons of each one. After I chose two options, he took me to the shoe sizing machine this store has. We got fitted and he grabbed my size from the back. After trying them on, the boots were fitting perfectly, and I was ready to go. Mason rang me up and even provided recommendations on soles that would benefit my foot shape.
