My favorite plumbing supply store! I'm a contractor who does my own plumbing so I don't do plumbing everyday. Sometimes I need to ask what part I need or what it takes to make something up to code and they are always very helpful and informative. As to people complaining about prices that's just not true or all the pro plumbers in the Pasadena, Serria madre, rosemead, Arcadia area wouldn't shop there. Not that this business owner will care, but he has lost another customer due to poor customer service OVER THE PHONE! I have been going here for many years but with each visit, the growing negativity coming from those behind the counter (the women included) has now pushed me away for good. I recently called and was met with such curtness, I decided to go out of my way and pay more at George's. Didn't have the kitchen's faucet part I needed so it was a waste of time driving there for nothing. The man at the front desk must be knowledgeable about all plumbing items or parts because he just looked at the part for 2 seconds and said they do not have that part. read more

This place has the harder to find parts that you won't find in the big box stores (Home Depot, Lowes, OSH). And if you're OK with dealing with the rude lady behind the counter, you'll find what you're looking for. I only come here if I absolutely cannot find the part anywhere else. She doesn't seem to be friendly to you unless you're a professional plumber or in the industry or know what exact part you're looking for. read more

The stars are for their wide selection and the kindness and helpfulness of the male employee. If you go there and Julie is at the desk, just ask to speak to someone else. She is one of the most rude,most dreadful people I have ever met in customer service, if not the worst. She knows her stuff but for some reason she feels the need to treat you like complete dirt if you are not a professional plumber. She needs to stop projecting her bitterness for her lot in life on other people, it is just miserable. Bad customer service on the phone rude unprofessional that tried not to take responsibility what they sold , not even want to listen the issues that asked to call factory directly but factory quoted they should call to valid the warranty ! Person name Alex is the worst salesperson to handle the situation ! I would recommend it for 2 reasons (1)you can find those hard to find (especially) plumbing parts, not much but sometimes you will have the surprise, and (2)price seems good too. About that Julie, who was condemned by so many commenters, just gave her a break, my wife becomes the same too once she is of menopause, the owner has excellent knowledge and willing to listen and help. read more

The place is good because you can find the item you need there but the lady behind the counter is extremely rude....I was able to put up with the rudeness until I went in this last time and needed a part different then the one I got before from them and she flat out said I did not buy it there...I wasn't even trying to take it back, when I explained to her that she had brought it from the back and it was inside a package she denied that. She then I asked the gentlemen there and he said he never saw a part like that. So now they lost a customer not that it matters much to them but I will be sure to discourage anyone from going there since they will challenge your integrity.!!!!! read more

Adam is completely right. The prices are incredibly high. Sometimes 2 to 4 times higher depending on what fittings or parts you need. The guy in there that looks like meatloaf seems like an ok guy and I like him and is knowledgable, but that woman, Julie is a very bitter person and I've never seen her in a good mood. I did see her force a smile once, when someone made a comment to her. I've only returned some small items twice since I've been going there and If you ever return something there, be ready for complete rudeness, a degrading tone in her voice and evil looks from her. I won't go in there again because of that reason, it's just too uncomfortable. This isn't a one time thing either. I would never trash on someones business from a one time experience. I have been observing this with other customers as well, and had been going there for years and just won't do it anymore. I guess I'll have to drive to my other plumbing houses. Too bad, because I work in that area a lot. I have relatives that shop there also and we talk about the rude service all the time. Update: I hadn't gone in there since I posted this and made a call to see if they had a delta cartridge for a landlord who insisted he would go in there, because it was getting late and they were a mile away. I cringed when she answered the phone. I won't go into detail but she was horrible again and I cant believe with customer service like that, that she hasn't been fired. OK people - here's the deal. This is a professional plumbers supply warehouse. See all those guys behind you in line? They are probably real plumbers and they are waiting for you to explain what part you are after but don't know what it is called. This is not OSH, Home Depot or Lowes, with some guy who does not really know about plumbing giving you the kid-glove treatment. Yes, there might be someone behind the counter who may get a little short with you because you are obviously not a professional, but my experience there as a DIY guy was not bad. I didn't have a problem with any staff, they were professional and courteous. I'm not really sure what "rude" woman they were talking about. Alex was very helpful and patient and knowledgeable. I came in to to look for shower heads and faucets and asked lot of questions like you would at Home Depot, such as how does this product compare to the other one, even though this was A Plumbing store intended for contractor's. I wanted a metal tub spout and Alex was going to swap out the plastic spout with metal for no additional charge.Prices were very fair. would definitely come back. read more

I was reading the reviews about the rude lady and thought I would throw in my story. First off, it amazes me that that unpleasant lady still works there. If you dont fully speak the language of plumbling, plan on being disrespected by the lady. I am a contractor and over the years I would send an unsuspecting employee of mine over to Red's supply to pick up a plumbing part. I would first call and say," Is that rude lady working today?" The other employee's know how rude she is, so if the male said,"yes" or if she answers the phone, I would go ahead and send my guy over.. I would also give my employee limited info on the specific part with a list of really bad questions. 3 of the 4 times my plan worked. These guys would come back without the part and explain how mean the lady was. When I would tell my guy he needs to return and get the part, they always said no way. They always thought I was a bit strange when I told them it was a joke and I just wanted them to feel the wraith of the plumbing Nazi. read more
