Endless shrimp options
Ken A.

Decided to stop in as it has been awhile. Pulling in I remembered the slightly smaller parking lot. Was able to comfortably park though so that was nice. We went in a little later than usual for us, about 730pm. It was a little crowded but surprisingly not that loud. We were seated next to a very large group but they were leaving so once they left it was very quiet. One note though. The servers came around to clear that large table and although most things didn't bother us they did make lot of annoying noise pushing the portable sweeper around. Almost to the point I was going to ask them to do that later, but thankfully they finished within five minutes. Menu seemed revamped. Drinks were good,, we ordered a few appetizers. Which I guess I should have read my previous review where I said there was way too much food and next time we probably wouldn't get appetizers. Ordered the stuff mushrooms which are great and the clam chowder. Chowder was a little too creamy but was ok. Our entrees looked great and tasted good, just that we were pretty full by then and sound up bringing home a good portion of the food. Oh, note on the biscuits in the beginning - delicious!

Been coming to this location for years. I have always had a great experience. I came in recently on a holiday with a group. Service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious. Our server gave us extra biscuits. She was very accommodating. I had a 3 shrimp platter. Everything was cooked well and my guests enjoyed their food as well. Will continue to recommend and come in for seafood!

Twin lobster tails

7 years later, still as good as before. The twin lobster tails during their lobster fest are so good, it has a sweet maine lobster plus my favorite Caribbean lobster tail. Wife ordered steak & my son had surf & turf, all gave rave reviews.

Our "Seafood Boil"

We came for the newly advertised SeaFood Boils and waited over two hours for food. Although the restaurant was not even busy. When our food came out the "Seafood Boils", we're not in bags, food was unseasoned and bland. Manager said they ran out of bags, but no one told us before we ordered. While we were eating we noticed dust falling on our food from the ceiling and looked up and the ceiling was covered in dusty mold and a ceiling tile was missing.

Waitress on FaceTime in public, during shift

Simply do not dine here. Waitress was very unprofessionally talkative with waiters. Did not write down our orders. Then was caught sipping out of 4 drinks before bringing them to our table, and simply denied it to management as we left. Another waitress was on FaceTime call in the middle of the restaurant; talking loudly and waiting tables slowly. Run by immature teenagers that shouldn't be working in the food service. Insanitary all around, and not worth the money.

I came to this Red Lobster on a whim and had a great experience. I ordered the ultimate feast and I was so impressed! I never thought I'd say Red Lobster made one of the best steaks I've tried, but I thoroughly enjoyed my steak. It was cooked to the perfect temp and had so much flavor. The service here is also great. Our server Reana was such a sweetheart. I took points off because the service was pretty slow.

Clearly the lobster was NOT CLEANED.

This was my first and last time visiting this restaurant. The food was mediocre at best, and their cheesecake was utterly disappointing.

While it can be a little pricey at times, you get exactly what you pay for--freshness that most "fast" options can't touch. The real advantage here is the ability to kill two birds with one stone. I can grab a high-caliber prepared meal for lunch and pick up my raw seafood in the same trip. While I know spots like Apple Tree and A Dong Supermarket are good, they just don't carry the variety of seafood that I actually eat. City Fish Market fills that gap perfectly with a selection that meets my specific standards. Pro Tip: Call ahead for your order. The lunchtime line can get crazy, and you don't want to be caught waiting when you're just looking to get in and out.

Moist and delicious. My Shrimp was lightly battered seasoned well. Just like I remembered it to be. The Clam Chowder was lack luster. To me it seemed to be pre made from a bag. The broth was on the beige/tan in color. The concept to order cooked food whether it is to go or here you would get in line. Order and wait to be called by number. We opted to stay. Ample amount of seating. Friendly and helpful staff

The clam chowder was just as good, thick and loaded with flavor and ingredients in every bite. The grilled octopus with potatoes was a standout -- perfectly tender (not rubbery at all) and packed with flavor. Oysters were fresh, crisp, and just straight up delicious. For the main, the paella was -- rich, loaded with seafood (shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels, clams), and cooked perfectly. Paired it with a light beer which helped cut through the richness and kept everything balanced. Service was on point and the ambiance made it a great overall experience. Definitely a spot I'd go back to.

They used to have "simply prepared" on the menu that was just the fish, with seasonings and complementary sides. That's gone from the menu. It was always perfectly prepared and complimentary to whatever fish you were having. Last night, that changed for me. I have noticed over my last few visits a change in the restaurant. At first, I thought it was just my tastes changing, but last night proved me wrong. I had the "North Atlantic Swordfish Saltimbooca". The description was "Proccuitto, mozzaella cheese, sage mascarpone, white polenta". Polenta is usually soft, with the fish on top. This was polenta soup, with the fish literally swimming in it. In addition, it was greasy. There was a lot of oil around the side. And on top of that, the mozzarella formed a rather nasty hard cheese coating on the fish that I removed to the side with my fork. It was one of the most unappetizing things I've had in a long time. The swordfish was completely lost; no flavor at all. After a few bites, I gave up on it. I also noticed that drinks have gotten smaller. I ordered a martini. It used to be quite generous (it is a $16 drink after all). The glass last night was much smaller, at the same price. The wine was good, but that was about it. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I should have gone with the Fish and Chips! Hard to mess that up.

It always looked like a good time with picnic tables right by the river ferry though, so we finally made a quick stop for lunch at the end of a bike ride. We just wanted something small as we had plans to cook that evening so we grabbed a couple simple hot dogs that came with fries. The hot dogs had that tasty flat top flavor and were on well toasted, buttery rolls. The fries were crispy and plentiful. Service was friendly and the view is great. Since I only had hot dogs I feel like a can't give a full review, but the dogs and overall experience were good enough that we'll definitely (finally) visit more often to give some other things a try.

I ordered two hot lobster rolls for me and my husband--$35 each and came with fries. Our son had the chicken tenders and fries. I also ordered a cup of clam chowder, but was disappointed to see them warming it up in the microwave. That kind of took away from the "fresh seafood" experience I was hoping for. Unfortunately, the lobster roll was way too salty, and I even found a hair in mine. I was going to say something, but my husband said to just leave it alone and decided we wouldn't be back. The coleslaw was full of black pepper and really unpleasant. One bright spot was their sweet little daughter who was helping clean up--she came over and kindly asked if we had any trash for her to throw out. My husband gave her a little tip--such a cutie and a hard worker. Overall, it's a nice location and has a lot of potential, but the food didn't meet expectations at all.
