My family and I come to Red Lobster a few times a year, but tonight's visit was an absolute disappointment from the food to the leadership. We ordered the new LUMP Crab and Shrimp Linguini. The menu advertises lump crab, but what we received had virtually zero crab in it--just one tiny piece that was completely shredded. To make matters worse, they brought out the wrong portion size to me, which was the partial. When they finally brought out the second half of the portion to correct it, it contained absolutely no crab at all, only shrimp. We also ordered the NEW Magical Hawaiian Blue cocktail and the Strawberry Piña Colada. Both drinks tasted like they had zero alcohol in them. If there was any liquor at all, it felt like a drop. The worst part of the night, however, was the management. As an African-American family, we couldn't help but notice how the manager handled our complaints. Instead of coming to our table to apologize or fix the situation, he stood at a distance, whispered instructions to our waitress on what to say to us, and never once stepped over. Meanwhile, we watched him actively go over to another table of non-colored patrons to check in on their experience. Being ignored by management while watching them give face-to-face attention to other tables left a terrible taste in our mouths. The food was a letdown, the drinks were NOT good,and the lack of respect from the manager was unacceptable. We will not be returning ever again. Decided to stop in as it has been awhile. Pulling in I remembered the slightly smaller parking lot. Was able to comfortably park though so that was nice. We went in a little later than usual for us, about 730pm. The servers came around to clear that large table and although most things didn't bother us they did make lot of annoying noise pushing the portable sweeper around. Almost to the point I was going to ask them to do that later, but thankfully they finished within five minutes. Menu seemed revamped. Drinks were good,, we ordered a few appetizers. Which I guess I should have read my previous review where I said there was way too much food and next time we probably wouldn't get appetizers. Ordered the stuff mushrooms which are great and the clam chowder. Chowder was a little too creamy but was ok. Our entrees looked great and tasted good, just that we were pretty full by then and sound up bringing home a good portion of the food. Not really the place you are going to get a bucket of Steamers and then a Two Pound boiled lobster. Well, we always heard about it. We've seen the advertisements on television. The real crime of the century is that everything appears to be microwaved, pre-packaged, and much akin to what you get at a eatery in Boston Logan Airport, Terminal C, without naming names... do you smell the OZONE? Hint hint. This prices are not bad, it is akin to a 99, or TGIF with a little more money added to any dish with the word "lobster" in the menu. Service was absolutely awful. It was barely full and took us 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by an employee at the front. Took a while for our server to finally come and when she did we ordered the endless shrimp. It wasn't on the menu and took us finding it on the separate menu thing on the table to see they had it and no where on the menu did it say you aren't allowed to share. We expected to be charged $29.99 each like it said and we had no problem with it and was fine thinking we had to share one order. Our server checked on us ONCE during the entire meal, and then at the end the manager had the nerve to come and practically accuse us of trying to be cheap and share the meal when apparently that's "not allowed". The server that we had was a middle aged woman with blonde hair and gave essentially bare-minimum level service. I asked for a Sprite to drink and instead of telling me they didn't have Coke products, she brought me the Pepsi "equivalent". Also, she NEVER asked me or anyone at my table if we wanted a refill on our drinks the entire time we were there! This is basic customer service. Keep in mind this restaurant was not even busy. The food was average, not bad, but nothing special either. I ordered the shrimp and lobster linguine. When I go to Red Lobster, and order a meal with lobster, I expect the lobster to be the "star of the show", or the focal point of the meal. Not today! It was tough to find the lobster in the meal, which was disappointing. The one good thing the server did the entire time we were there was bring us a second basket of biscuits after we finished the first, without us asking. Bravo. Aside from that, after we finished our meals, I paid, and when the server gave me the receipt, I saw that she circled the entire "suggested tip" section (twice) on the receipt...completely unnecessary and seems passive aggressive to say the least. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was mushy salty and with no visible seafood and way too much salt. The stuffed lobster ($34) was awful. The lobster clearly was boiled and than placed under the broiler to fane a stuffed broiled product. The meat was stringy and way over cooked and even the butter seemed left over from their shrimp scampi. I post this review with the absolutely heaviest of hearts. A saying I usually reserve for a bad local business review. I use it for Red Lobster because it used to be my all time favorite places to eat. My sister gave me a $50 red lobster gift card in 2019 for Christmas because she knew it was my all-time favorite restaurant to go to. What she didn't realize was that there aren't many left. Before February 9th 2024 the last time I went to a red lobster was New Year's Eve 2000 in Danbury CT. It's been a long time since I've eaten at a Red Lobster because of the downsizing of the company. There's just none around Rhode Island where I live anymore. After 5 years of anticipation and wanting to go, my sister, niece, and I were going to Kat Williams in Bridgeport Connecticut. It was the perfect time to go to a Red Lobster. We ordered the coconut shrimp along with extra cheddar bay biscuits. my sister got the fish and chips. my niece doesn't eat seafood so she got the pasta and spicy chicken. I got the Admirals Feast. We got it all at once because we didn't have much time to eat. Traffic had taken up a lot of our dinner time. The coconut shrimp was awesome! I absolutely loved it. The cheddar bay biscuits weren't bad, but they were definitely a little lackluster. There wasn't much cheese in them and they don't brush the biscuits with the herb butter anymore. Regardless they still tasted good though. My Nice said her pasta was OK but she didn't like the chicken at all. I didn't say much about it at dinner because I just wanted to enjoy our time together. From what it looked like it wasn't real chicken at all. It was that lab grown synthetic chicken garbage that's held together with meat glue. Pretty nasty. Looking at my sister's fish and chips. You can completely tell that it was all frozen premade fish. She didn't like it very much either. She said it was very dry and tasteless. My captains platter, I have to say in all honesty; was horrible. I've never eaten shrimp that tasted like nothing at all. Absolutely zero flavor. It didn't even taste like breading. I was a grill cook for 14 years. I never experienced that with shrimp. My scallops were these tiny little round balls that resembled bay scallops but were more like baby bay scallops. I cut one open and half of it was breading. I never seen such small pieces of flounder either. The clams were good, but also very, very Bready. Everything In my feast was pre-made frozen and thrown in the fryer. I got mashed potatoes instead of french fries, but there were french fries on the platter. It was very empty. The portions were very very small. The last time I went to a Red Lobster everything was battered fresh and fried to order. The portions were great and the scallops were full sea scallops. I have never whitenesses such a drastically bad change to such a great restaurant and it still had its doors open. Aside from my Lobsterita drink and the coconut shrimp it was all terrible. Had we just bought Gordon's products and cooked at home it would have been 100 times better and so much cheaper. And I promise you all I'm not exaggerating in the least. I wish I brought my phone in so I could take pictures. Unfortunately I didn't. Including the gift card it came out to $101.54. In all honesty, I wouldn't have paid the $51.54 in cash that came out of my pocket never mind the full amount. I can't remember the waitress' name but her service was exemplary and worthy of the $30 tip I gave her. How Red Lobster is still a functional restaurant chain is way beyond me. I am glad we got to go one more time though. I'll be sad when it's inevitable closing comes to fruition. And it will be so, guaranteed! There's no way that chain is going to survive putting out food that bad. I gave it 2 stars instead of the one just because I used to absolutely love that restaurant. I enjoyed the endless shrimp which was amazing!! Honestly the amount of shrimp received it's almost impossible to eat excessively as you may think. The waitress was awesome and had great customer service. We went around 3:30pm which wasn't packed and was able to be seated right away. Staff was very attentive and pleasant to be around. Service was great - Chasty our server was super-nice and accommodating. The biscuits are killer, I would've been more than happy to have those as my entree. I love the popcorn shrimp with baked potato so much! Such a great lunch time deal with salad and entree and of course their amazing biscuits we all know and love. It's the only thing I ever order. I was so upset and a cook came out and laughed. He said this happens all the time and it's just a bug. How disgusting. Do not come here when there is any sort of crowd, they do not know how to handle large amounts of people. I made a reservation for tonight, Valentine's Day, and I left even before being seated. There was one line for both reservations and walk ins, so reservations had to wait in this very long line to even check in that they were there. We waited in line for 30 minutes past our reservation time trying to check in for our reservation, and when we finally got up to the front to try to check in, we were constantly dismissed, with others cutting the line being taken care of instead of us. The hostess spoke to us very rudely, and when she asked if we were in line and we said yes, she continued to ignore us. She also continued making comments about other customers while we were in line. We heard them tell other reservations they would still have to wait another 30 minutes to be seated and longer to get their food due to the amount of people, which is to be expected, but as we already waited for a long time, and we were frustrated and upset with the service being provided, we decided to leave. We will definitely not be coming back here for any sort of holiday. read more

We make the 30-40 minute drive to Red Lobster occasionally when we are craving seafood & don't feel like cooking. We hadn't been in awhile and it was date night with the hubs. Good pick! We were there for an early dinner, 4:00'ish on a weekday. Plenty of others had the same idea as there were quite a few people dining. Employees are super here. Our waitress, Sash, was exceptional. She offered money-saving options for the platter hubs ordered & was on top of things during our entire visit. She has a great personality & really elevated our experience because of it. Those delicious Cheddar Bay biscuits were on our table within about a minute of us being seated. We savor every bite! We also like the Caesar salad here. They are huge so don't fill up on it! Hubs likes the Ultimate feast with lobster tail, crab legs & 2 kinds of shrimp. Everything was cooked properly and he enjoyed himself very much. Not much talking going on! LoL I like the create-your-own platter with shrimp scampi (my favorite!) and bay scallops. The sauce for these are sooo good! I opted to try the Brussels sprouts as I had seen some good reviews by fellow Yelpers that prompted me to try it. O.M.G! Even if you don't like to eat baby cabbages, these are worth trying! They are served with a drizzle of what I think is teriyaki sauce. (Don't quote me on that!) It is a game changer for this veggie! It's just enough to tone down the less desirable part of the sprout flavor so that you don't even notice it. This was before the Covid 19 pandemic. As always call for a reservation as this place will forever be packed. We came together to celebrate my aunt's and father's birthday and was lucky to get a table for our party of 8 as there was a line outside of the host area waiting for tables. We didn't have to wait long as we had a time to arrive and was sat pretty quickly. There were some disgruntled people waiting and again hopefully they read the review and see to call ahead. We had opted for their meal combos with soup or salad along with our main course. My uncle and dad opted for a surf and turf meal while most of us went with the combo. The food was good and filling; the only thing that threw my mom off was order the shrimp scampi and it was a dish of buttery shrimp. We were expecting it to come with pasta.
