Had snow crab legs with a garden salad, broccoli and rice pilaf and of course couldn't resist eating two cheddar bay biscuits. I have to remember next time I come that I like the green beans better than the broccoli there when it's typically the opposite. I like the fact that they have two wild caught options which are the snow crab legs and the flounder (which I haven't tried in many years). At least they are making an effort toward sustainable food. The Red Lobster horror show. If you are coming here looking for a Veg/Vegan dish you will be sorely disappointed. However, if you have used your Sherlockian powers of deduction and took a hint from the name, you probably know that already. Seafood lovers who have 30$+ to spend per person, you may proceed. I would, however, caution against it. There is a sea vibe, with shippy things, nautical inspired art and flags on the walls. Seems like there are a lot of couples here, I guess if you're trying to impress throw down 100$ for a meal for two. I just wonder why you'd come here and not one of the many reputable restaurants that are known for their quality, service and class. The lettuce in the house salad was bruised and clearly from yesterday or the day before. The "Champagne Vinaigrette" was sticky sweet, not my personal preference. The cheese biscuits have a good salt taste when you first bite into them. After that, they are very doughy and require some jaw gymnastics to get down. There is so much oil/'butter' in them that after each bite I had to wipe my mouth. I believe it is fair to say that the biscuits taste cheap. The grilled chicken comes out without the broccoli. The plate was greasy (see photos). The rice was like rubber, very undercooked. I sent it back and asked for mashed potatoes. The broccoli was steamed in seafood broth. It left an unpleasant fishy taste that lingered long after the broccoli was gone. The broccoli also had chili flakes on it. The combination of that old fishy taste and chili flakes was unpleasant. I did not eat more than 3 pieces. The sauce on the chicken was sticky sweet. My friend ordered an extra side of Langostino on mashed potatoes. The kitchen put it on top of their steak???? When they asked for more of the sauce to put on their mashed potatoes, the waiter brought out a bowl of sauce with TWO tiny pieces of langostino in it (see photo). We had to talk multiple times with different managers to finally get my friends plate off the bill. I shall never return thither. read more

Unfortunately, I hate leaving bad reviews especially with the current climate, however I feel as though I have to be honest here. For starters, my family and I had stopped in here for a break as we were doing bridal dress fittings in the area. Once we were seated, we were immediately greeted by our waitress who was extremely personable and friendly. She took our drink orders of which I ordered a white sangria which I thought was good. My stepmother ordered a margarita and she commented it was good. The waitress then came back out to take our orders and on a third trip gave us two cheddar biscuit baskets. I ordered the trio which came with skewered shrimp, salmon, and lobster. I thought the was meal was delicious. My stepmother ordered the blackened salmon which came with rice and a side of broccoli. She stated she had no complaints about the meal. My father ordered the langostino and lobster pizza, which he thought was ok. However, the issue and the reason for the 1 star came when a small roach came out of one of the cheddar biscuit baskets on the table. Fortunately no one ate from that basket, however both my father and stepmother both ate from the other. I quickly smashed it with the napkin on the table and my father promptly asked to speak with a manager. Although the manager was extremely apologetic about the incident, he claimed the insect was a water bug. Umm...no. That was not a water bug. After making sure my family and I checked our bags and person we departed. Although the food was good, there are obviously cleanliness issues at this restaurant. The roach was small leading me to think there are definitely more. I am of the mindset that where there is one, there is many. Giving this 3 stars, but this past visit honestly probably deserves nothing more than 2. I have to say I'm very disappointed in my recent visit. We were sat in the back, which is fine, but it seemed like there was only one waiter waiting on the entire section. And to add to that, he definietely seemed to be new at his job. This is completely fine, everyone has to start somewhere, but I would not have given him such a big section to look after. First, it took forever for someone to even come and take our beverage orders. Then, when we finally ordered, the food I got wasn't what I was expecting. The crab legs I got seemed over cooked, and something was definitely wrong. For the price I paid for King crab legs, I expected better quality. Our food was brought to the table, (I had also ordered a steak) and I had no steak knife. Also, Both me and my sister ordered crab legs, and there was no crab tools crackers forks etc brought with our meal. Then, when we finally got the waiter's attention to ask, he only brought one! Have not been here in few years. Decided to try it again. Always can say the biscuits served warm still is a great welcome. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The furniture still the same. The was not that attentive and for the most part pretty slow. Seen like took forever to get our food Today I went with the Salmon New Orleans. Just to find out there is no Salmon. So substituted it with Tilapia at no extra cost. However when the food came. I was handed lobster, rice and tilapia. Some how after repeating the order to us when she took it. My boyfriend and I got a gift card for Red Lobster and it's the only reason we went there. Based on the reviews I was kind of concerned. But I have to say the food was pretty good. I thought it was a little salty for my taste, but we both had the special they offered that night. it was soo much food. I ended up taking home a lot of food. The reason I took off 1 star - it took us a good 5 minutes or so before a hostess came to the stand. We weren't the only people waiting to get seated. I've seen this place decline to the level where it is today. I've given this place several chances because I like red lobster and I wanted to like this place as much as I did years ago. One of the lobsters didn't smell fresh, but that was nothing compared the pieces of lobster in the Alfredo pasta. Some pieces were good and some were just rotten. Smelled like dead fish. Imagine trying to pick out the good pieces by tasting them. The second lobster was over cooked/dried/burnt. I'm writing this as I am sitting and waiting for the bill, and expecting a discount as informed by the waitress because I mentioned the problems. I don't care how much they discount, but my dining expectations were crushed and my experience was ruined. My baked potato was also over cooked. The shrimp Rangoon and the fried calamari were good. There is probably a systemic problem here. I heard the waitress apologizing to others and the manages apologizing as well. This place needs to get their house in order. By the way, a $10 discount on a $180 bill. I felt bad not tipping today, as I tip well. Very disappointed. I went to Red Lobster last night. I was very unhappy with the service. First of all, the waitress got the nerves to say my food- Lobster tail with shrimp scampi does not come with sides. It does. I went to Red Lobsters numerous times in the past and always get a side and salad with my entree. Another issue that occurred , is that my mom found a long piece of hair in her food. It was disgusting and my mom lost her appetite. So she ask the manager to remove the entree from our bill. Service was average but having to ask for items that should be there such as the cheddar bay biscuits and receiving a response of dread for asking them to do something is unpleasant when you're the one spending money. Value - 1/5. If chain restaurants are having trouble with customer numbers, lack of value is probably the main reason. Some of the items aren't bad for $8 but the portions are really small. You'd feel you got more value for your dollar if you spend $10 (an average lunch special price) and got better tasting food and a nice size portion. The lunch size pastas are laughably tiny for their price. The shrimp linguini alfredo came in a flat oval side dish with a tiny layer of pasta with the smallest shrimp you could buy for $12. Just visited Red Lobster for lunch. We were excited to see the great number of full entrees, combinations, light lunches, and other offerings. I chose the shrimp tacos and was delighted. As a person who despises chain restaurants, I grumble every time someone mentions going to one. So, when my mother said she wanted to do Red Lobster as our Easter dinner, I obliged, as it is probably our last Easter in New Jersey (hopefully). When we pulled up to the parking lot, the place was packed. I guess people don't really eat Easter dinner at home anymore. Either that or they just don't celebrate Easter period. There were at least 30 people waiting when we walked in. We gave our name, were given the buzzer, and told the wait would be 15 minutes. About five minutes later, there must have been 10 tables filled. And then the mass grew and a crowd of 30 more people swarmed in. Just in the knick of time, we made it before the mad rush. Seconds later, our buzzer sounded and we were on our way to our table. Jaime was our server ... sweet, welcoming, she took our drink orders promptly after sitting down. When she returned with the drinks minutes later, we put in our orders. No appetizers this time, even though I was tempted to try the Lobster Pizza. I got the Atlantic Salmon (wood-grilled) with a baked potato and broccoli with a garden salad. My momma got the Rock Lobster Tail with a Potato with a Caesar salad. Our salads were out moments later with those fabulous rolls. My salad was ok - the tomatoes tasted funny, and DO NOT get the balsamic vinaigrette (unless you get it on the side, as they drowned my veggies in it). The meals were out a few minutes after we finished the salad. My salmon was grilled to perfection, the broccoli was cooked perfectly and the potato was fab. My mother's Rock Lobster was delicious, as it always is. Full but not suffocatingly stuffed, we passed on dessert & coffee - I have chocolate I am attending to right now as I type this. This past Saturday, my wife and I decided to have our anniversary dinner at the Red Lobster in Wayne, N.J. being that we are huge Bairdi crab fans and the Crabfest promotion will be ending on September 1st. This is the third time we have gone to Red Lobster for Crabfest We were seated and ordered 2 Margaritas, (one regular and one Patron) to celebrate the evening and had our minds made up on what we are having for dinner. The drinks came and they were terrible. They were very weak and tasted like straight lemonade so we sent them back. The waiter apologized and said that he will have them fixed. He returned to the table with two more drinks and they were no different than the first ones. We decided to drink them anyway and toast to our 20 year marriage. Moving on to dinner, I ordered the Calamari appetizer and Crabfest Trio, but with all Bairdi crab. My wife had the grilled scallops as an appetizer and the same entrée as I ordered but without butter on the side. My wife is gluten free, and lactose free and cannot have butter so we usually bring our own "safe butter" when dining out. We finished our drinks and decided to have another, since it was our special occasion. The second set of drinks arrived and they were just as bad as the first ones. This time we set them aside and did not drink them. Our meals arrive and smelled very fishy (crab isn't supposed to smell fishy at all) and it didn't look very good. The shells of the crab were grayish red with white spots all over them . it almost looked as if they had salt spots on them. In addition to that, my wife's crab was placed in front of her swimming in a puddle of butter which spilled out from the dish that we asked them not to give her. This could have made her VERY sick. I said to my wife that the crab is old and probably freezer burned and should not look like that. The last time we dined at this restaurant (about three weeks prior) we had the same meal and the crab had hints of an ammonia taste. It was probably starting to go bad then. (I should have known better) I decided to give it a try anyway just to prove my theory and sure enough, the crab was stuck to the inside of the shell and the part that I was able to taste had an ammonia flavor. We were not about to eat this and get sick. I said to my wife let's go somewhere else and cut out losses, this is just not getting any better. Nothing was going right that night. We asked to speak to the manager and explained to her that the drinks are terrible and the meal are unacceptable. By this time we were in the restaurant about an hour and ready to move on. I said that I am willing to pay for the appetizer and the drinks, but the rest should be taken off the bill because we are not going to eat it and we are leaving. The manager was very apologetic and offered to remake the meals but we declined and asked for the check. The bill was discounted although she probably could have written off the entire amount. It came to $9.30 so I fairly paid my portion and we left very disappointed. Expecting to have a nice dinner. So much for an anniversary celebration at Red Lobster. My issue is with the quality control of the food. I see the commercials on TV and see the advertising on your website that Red Lobster is crab quality conscious yet you send an inferior product into your restaurants to be served to the public. This is unacceptable. Most of the time if a meal looks bad leaving the kitchen.... it is bad. Why didn't the kitchen manager catch this and correct it or refuse to serve it? As I mentioned before, we have dined two times prior at Red Lobster and are very fond of the food. I spend a decent amount of money per visit and I am usually very satisfied with the service and quality of the food. Not this time, Red Lobster failed miserably and I am very disappointed and probably won't be returning for some time. In the above instance I do not hold the restaurant manager responsible, she did everything she could to try and make it right. I just finished reading the 'Secret Life of Lobsters' and got a gift card to RL. How convenient and timely. I took my daughter for her 21st bday. Of course, I had lobster. She had scallops. Both were delicious. Our waiter was super efficient and very nice and helpful. We both had salads and enjoyed the biscuits. We had a stuffed mushroom appetizer that had cheese and lobster. So I thought I would enjoy a nice shrimp dinner from Red Lobster with some cheddar bay biscuits while in town on business - which I will be for a few more weeks - but NO. Placed my order online for delivery to my hotel with an estimated delivery time (according to the website) of 6:37. Got a text a few minutes later that said delivery would be about 6:45. This was at 6:10. Got another message that Jeimy was approaching with my order at 6:18. A final message came through at 6:20 that stated my order was delivered. It wasn't. I wait a few minutes because these drivers jump the gun with their delivery texts. Nothing. I call Red Lobster because the order was placed on their website. Wait an eternally long time and someone finally says the order was picked up by the driver at 6:17. Give it a few more minutes. I wait past the original delivery time of 6:37 and the updated time of 6:45, and call back at 7:00. The restaurant is a 5 minute drive, literally, from my hotel, so 43 minutes is more than long enough to get that delivered. While chatting with the guy at the restaurant again, who offered to refund my credit card, I tell him I'd rather have some food to eat. He says you can't order delivery on the phone. Well the food was fine but the service was pretty bad. You could tell our server was new and I know he was trying but he was so inexperienced. It really took forever to get everything. Absymal service. I had to ask twice for silverwear with my appetizers, my soda order was messed up and had to wait an extraordinary amount of time for the check. I was grossed out and considered walking right out of the restaurant. I will attach a photo. To my horror, i used the bathroom again on the way out and no one had cleaned it an HOUR AND A HALF LATER!!! It was the same as when i walked in. how could this be ignored?? Does no one check? This place was so nasty!! Menus were sticky. Forks, spoons, knives and glasses were soooo spotted. Hoping it was water spots but can't be sure. The table had an odor that was awful. And again, sticky and smudged. We had to ask the gal to wash it with a CLEAN cloth. Ordered drinks and appetizers. Ordered a soda and a drink. Soda came quickly, the other drink took forever. When it finally arrived it was disgusting. Appetizers came right along with the meals! They were ok. Not great but just ok. Asked for butter for the biscuits. Got melted butter that you use for lobster. Baked potato was ordered with butter, came loaded with sour cream. Yuck. We were so disappointed. Won't ever go back to Red SLOBster in Wayne. I was actually concerned we'd get sick later in. If I could have given no stars I would have! Disgusting place all around. read more

Where can I begin with this horrendous place? I hate I'm forced to give a star. My girlfriends and I (party of 3) decided to go after a long week to catch up with good drinks and food (particularly the biscuits, salad, and some basic seafood). Two of us arrived and the hostess told us it would be a 25 minute wait. We said it was fine because our 3rd person in the party did not arrive. Therefore, we decided to sit at the bar. We sat for 10 minutes without an acknowledgement from the bartender. Our friend arrived within 10 minutes and while we were catching up, we realized we still were not acknowledged. After 20 minutes, the bartender walked towards the back and from across the room, said she will be with us. Bartender came back and acknowledged a couple who came after us before approaching us and asked for our drinks. We ordered but shortly canceled because our table was ready. The bartender looked surprise we canceled but we said we waited too long and our table is ready. Our waiter arrived and took our order. Our biscuits were lukewarm. Salad was good. Our drinks were great; however, this was the only great part. Our food took forever; when it finally arrived, order was wrong. My one girlfriend did not receive crackers for her king crab legs. I ordered an ultimate feast and was missing my mashed potatoes. My scallops and shrimp was almost cold. My shrimp scampi sauce was nonexistent. I ate some items because I was hungry and discovered the low temperature of the items. My other girlfriend was missing her lobster mashed potatoes and shrimp was added to her order after specifically stating she is allergic to shrimp. Our waiter did agree to make her order again and agreed to bring crackers and the missing items. It never happened. After waiting over 20 minutes, I demanded to speak with the manager. While we were explaining our grievances to the manager, she made an excuse for the kitchen, noted "oh yes I had to cancel the triple berry sangrias" and even told me "well you ate most of your food"--I wanted to curse her out but calmly told her I was hungry. She reluctantly removed our plates and said she will see what she can do. She ultimately removed $15 for inconvenience and two meals were removed (my ultimate feast and my girlfriend's king crabs). The manager's tone was condescending when she asked "is that good enough". NEVER AGAIN. THIS IS TRASH. I wrote corporate too. read more

I don't care what anyone says, I will always love red lobster! I came to this location with my husband for our anniversary, and it was great. He gave me the option to go to any upscale restaurant but I chose red lobster! We had about three strawberry mojitos each and tried their surf and turf. We were planning on sitting at a table but enjoyed the bartender so much that we just ended up staying at the bar. I would say that this is one of the better red lobster locations that are around us! read more
