Absolutely the worst visit to a restaurant in a very long time. The hostesses couldn't decide where to seat us, then it took a while until we saw a server. Things went better until the food came. Absolutely disgusting for me. The broccoli was old and tasted terrible. The popcorn shrimp and baked potato were ok. The biscuits were the best part of my meal. My daughter asked for no butter on lobster and shrimp and apparently that means no taste also. There was no seasonings at all on her seafood. She substituted asparagus for rice, we paid an up charge, and it was so old it was inedible. We had to ask for drink refills and even had to get another sever to get us our check. We paid and got out of there. What a waste of $50. We have been to this location many times before but not recently. It has gone way down hill and we will not be returning. Tried to contact Red Lobster but only option is online form which wouldn't work. Seriously? Best advice....choose a different restaurant. read more

I placed an order with Grubhub and put in specific directions for catfish. I received everything else that I asked for, but the wrong fish. I called Grubhub to see how we could resolve this issue and they were of no help, you would think the drivers would double check your food before they left. Needless to say, the manager Chris M. went out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied to the extent of bringing me the correct order in his personal vehicle. I get it u have other tables but when u have those other tables complaining something is wrong! My order came out in parts then I had to go to the bar to get my own drink, then I didn't get the sauce to my food till I went to the kitchen to get it. So it's been a while, maybe a few years since I've been to RL, so I was like ok cool let's do it. Don't get me wrong, nothing was over the top wrong, it just that nothing was really good, it was all like "meh." And I spent over $100 bucks for 4 people and one is a vegetarian that had cheese sticks and fries. As I sit here to write this, I'm eating pistachios, well, because I'm not quite full. Staff was cool and attentive no issues there. But man the food has fallen off from years past. I looked around and it was NOT busy at all, very different from back in the day, and they now nickle and dime you for everything. I do remember getting an ultimate feast and having to take some home and didn't bust 100 dollar bill. Things have changed, and the lobster was overcooked. And when did corn on the cob become a premium item that needs an up charge? Y'all hurting for cash? Anyway, oh well RL it's been fun but the love affair is over. Visited restaurant on a Saturday afternoon, so it was not very busy. We were seated right away, but after that service went way down hill. I felt we waited forever to place order, then waited forever for food. My daughter ordered a salad as her main dish and it was so soggy from the dressing. I ordered a lobster tail and it did not come out until I was almost done with my plate. Never offered refills on our water and was never asked if we wanted desert. When we were leaving we asked to speak with a manager and was told she would be right there, well waited over 15 minutes and she never came to talk to us!! My fiancé and I came here to eat dinner a few weeks back and I'm honestly still pretty salty about the turn out of it. At first, everything was great. I ordered some overpriced rum cocktail and he ordered a beer and we chowed down on biscuits and salad waiting for our food. He got the ultimate feast and really enjoyed it (sans his fried shrimp being little more than room temp-but not worth complaining about in the long run). I ordered the rock lobster and steak with a rare NY strip. Our server was off doing side work--I get it, we came in an hour and a half before close and she was being proactive--but she did not deliver the food to the table. That's cool and all, but my steak was a really beautiful medium and I ordered a rare and she had yet to table touch going on 7 minutes now. My dinner date's entire plate is getting cold because he doesn't want to eat if I'm not eating. I'm trying to not get frustrated, but I'd like to eat food at the correct level of preparedness and I'd just like to not have to chase her down. As I'm getting up, the manager happens to walk by and ask if everything is all right. I let him know that I would like a rare steak and showed him the more well-done one. He immediately takes it away and let's me know they're preparing a new one. Sweet! So I start eating my lobster tail and sides and my date starts eating his food when our server comes back and loudly sighs because my fiancé asks for some more biscuits. Okay. Then when she brings them back, she kind of tosses them at the table. I just figured she was upset because either the manager had said something to her about not following up with us after the food had been dropped off or that we had not said something to her, but how could that be our fault when we hadn't seen her in the better part of 10 minutes? I was trying to not be butthurt because my guy and I work different schedules and this was the only night we'd had off together for 3 weeks and I wasn't going to let a misunderstanding get in the way of what was otherwise a perfectly nice dinner. When the new steak came out, it was cooked to perfection. I ate a quarter of it and was ready to go, however, because our server was trying to up the passive-aggressive ante for the rest of our visit in various ways. She didn't offer us dessert, we didn't want her to. If I ever visit this location again (unlikely), I would ask to be sat in a different section. read more

The restaurant smelled, not like food, like rancid fat. Like the carpet needed to be washed. I thought maybe I would get used to it so I followed the hostess to a table. The smell remained, the server didn't appear so I moved to the bar to get takeout. The bar didn't smell, the bartender made an adequate drink and then disappeared. He did not re-appear until he brought my food. During the time he was missing I got a tickle in my throat and really needed some water - no bartender. I might have had a second drink, no bartender. back in my hotel room the shrimp lettuce wraps were very tasty, the ceaser salad was adequate. I won't be going back. read more

Just plain sad. We have always loved Red Lobster because of the casual atmosphere and the really good snow crab dinner. Tonight was terrible. The crab was so small that many of the legs weren't even worth trying to open. They no longer offer the snow crab dinner with corn and boiled potatoes. Not such a bad thing because now you get to select 2 sides and a salad to go along with the crab. The salad is the standard iceberg lettuce variety but was fresh and the dressing was quite good. The baked potatoes that we both selected were outstanding - fresh and baked with a rock salt crust. I had a green bean and mushroom side dish that was very good and FRESH. The problem here was the crab - period. Just hate that this spot isn't reliable anymore. Now I remember why I haven't been to a Red Lobster in years and this past Friday will be my last time. Starting from the top: Waiter was nice but gave too much personal info at the very beginning of greeting us, (not professional, almost seemed shady). The frozen margaritas looked like a child poured them, ugly and dump-like; not appetizing in other words. Food is way overpriced, especially for the portions you get. Waiter was nice but seemed scattered and hyped. Waiter forgot to bring more biscuits upon request (never did get them). Took forever to get out our check and to-go boxes and get out of there. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Sherman. The food is consistent. We prefer a late lunch about 2:00 so it isn't too busy. We really enjoy having Chris wait on us. He is our favorite waiter, very attentive and professional. Sometimes the biscuits are fresh and hot and sometimes not. The tea is the best in town. A couple of times the wood grilled shrimp on my salad was very tough and overcooked. A couple of times the host tried to seat us in the bar when there was plenty of seating in the main dining area. We go there a lot and the only issues we see over and over is with the seating hosts. They don't seem to be in tune to the guests. Just want to seat you and mive on, kind of bored. We went to red lobster tonight for lobster fest. One of us got the grilled lobster tails and they looked delicious and my friend said they tasted delicious. I got the shrimp duo, one was shrimp scampi and the other was fried shrimp. Shrimp scampi is my favorite but the last three times I've ordered that has been terrible. And again tonight was no exception. It was steamed shrimp and it tasted like raw shrimp, rubbery shrimp to me, So I sent it back. The fried shrimp was good I will say it was very good. But I could go to Long John Silver's and get fried shrimp for a fraction of the cost. I also tried the new side dish they have a roasted carrots and butternut squash. It was very good it had a very good flavor and was nicely seasoned. However, it was practically raw. The carrots were so hard and crunchy they tasted like they were just raw carrots and the butter nut squash was also very hard. To me it was very under cooked and I would like to have had it cooked another 10 or 15 minutes and been a little bit softer. Our waiter was excellent. Service was excellent. Overall I give them a B+ tonight I will probably go back to red lobster I still like the place, but I will never order shrimp scampi ever again, tonight was the last time I'm sending it back. And I will not get the butternut squash either. read more

Five adults and two kids had dinner. Most of the meals were prepared well. The fish and chips were over cooked, the potion was large but thin and rubbery. Staff were quick to offer a replacement, but it took forever to get it. They then brought two--one as badly prepared as the first, the second was better but still a very poor choice of filet. Oh my gosh, what can I say. I love this place. Get there about once a month and always leave full and very happy. The bread in the basket is to die for. The folks working here are very nice and attentive. Tea glass stays full (kind of a pet P for me) and the price is more than OK. You have got to time it right or you will have to stand in line for a seat. This place is always full, so at peak hours you will have a 20 to 45 minuet wait. But is is well worth it. read more

I like Red Lobster. Not just because it has great seafood, but because its horizons are broadened far beyond just seafood. If you want salad, or steak, you can get that too. And they don't just have one or two kinds either. Red Lobster gives high quality food all around, and it is stereotyped as being high priced, but that's pretty much bogus. The price isn't all that higher than most places I have been. If there is indeed a difference, I haven't noticed it. The service at this one is also good. read more

It's obvious I cannot write a review on your website since you have no place to add reviews, but you and your potential clients need to be told. I have loved the food at Red Lobster for years but the past few years the service has progressively gone down. I guess I must be insane because I keep coming back every 3-4 months expecting a different result. Well today, 2/4/20, I got a different result, it was worse. I decided to order online and pick up. I found it quite easy, even to add butter to the potatoes and pick my salad dressing. I ordered at 7:05pm and was told to pick up at 7:25. That was perfect until I arrived at 7:25 and my order was not ready until 7:50. I don't care how busy the waitress at the bar was or thought she was, 45 minutes to get an order or rather an incomplete order is too long, regardless if to go or in house. I might add there was no one waiting for a table and the restaurant was not full. Another To Go order was given to someone who came in after me and by the time I got mine 3 more were waiting after me. When I arrived home; the butter was missing on both side orders of mashed potatoes, the salad on one order was so reduced in size I was shocked, I rarely finish my salad and I could have eaten 2 and last but not least the broccoli was completely missing from the second order. So excited to take our daughter for her bday for crab cakes. NEVER had such a HORRIBLE experience! I ordered the parmesan crusted tilapia. After my 2nd bite I felt something on my lip. It was a hair...... Ok no biggie...... Happens I'm sure. But then I literally looked like I was a magician pulling handkerchiefs from my throat! There was a hair BALL attached at the end that was at the bottom of my throat. I was able to keep from puking but my family stared in amazement and disgust. My son pointed out that NONE of the kitchen staff had their hair pulled back or hair nets on. Also my sons steak was very very tough and kinda grey. Since I'm not the kind to raise hell or cause a scene I quietly called the manager over and gave him the scoop. He took off my meal and my sons.... But asked if we needed to-go boxes for the other 3 ....1/4 eaten meals. Ugh! NO ONE could eat After seeing this craziness. Note to red lobster....... "Provide proper hair coverings for all kitchen staff AND just comp the entire --uneaten-- meal. Never will we return I can promise you this. read more

So we have been taking our family for years and never had a bad experience until now we had a server that was not all there he brought the wrong drinks and did not offer to get the right ones no straws no silverware when our food came out no fill on the bread either and the young lady that brought ketchup put her sleeve in my husbands food as she reached across the table After paying and tipping I let the manager know what kind of experience we had she said to please come back and that they would take care of the bad experience so I did with just my kids and paid for my whole meal again because of the misunderstanding with Mrs Gina Mcintosh that the words take care of u means find u a better waiter but sorry about ur bad experience last time but thanks for paying for ur crappy one read more

Yes, the cheddar biscuits as still the best thing around, but you can buy a Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuit mix and make them at home now. We go to this location fairly often. 4 out of 5 times it is excellent, once in a while we might get a flat biscuit or a rubbery lobster. But, on the whole, their food and service is very good, especially for a chain. Any of the seafood fettuccine dishes are divine at this location. Been to this location many times and went there couple of weeks ago food was very good as usual , waiter was lil rude to begin with which didn't bother me till next day my credit card was used all over the internet. Called next day and informed the manager with the name of the server who denied the server doing anything wrong. I haven't been to red lobster in a while. Never really like it, but thought I would give it a try again with my wife and kids. Never in my life have I had greater service. Our server Allison made my kids feel like they ruled the world. She let my daughter go pick the lobster we had for dinner...way to go!! To add to that, she recommended things that were all amazing. My wife had many requests...which Allison took care of every single time...my wife can be a tough customer sometimes! We also got the 30 shrimp for 11.99$ and th mango shrimp....delicious. The only complaint I have....maybe managers shoul be more aware of the conversations employees have near guests where they can hear. I over heard many times, a younger African American server using sware words...and yes, my children could hear. Never caught his name...but boy does he need to watch his mouth! BEWARE! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE!!! A server named Amy brought our food to the table. When I told her the order was wrong and tried to explain the original order she became frustrated. I told her I would talk to our server about it. She made a face, smarted off and walked away. She then made loud comments about us to our server. It is Saturday and the day of the week does make a difference. There was plenty of seating available when we entered at noon time. Ordered unsweetened iced tea. The tea is weak and may have been watered down due to hot tea being placed in the pitcher and over ice. We were served three of delicious Red Lobster rolls. Now there are two customers so why are we served three rolls? By the way you can purchase this mix at Sam's and make your own at home. Trust me---they come out just as good as the one's served in the restaurant.Ordered the "two item", create your own meal and for me that was a double order of fried clams.The clams came with a garden salad and rice pilaf. My spouse ordered the double order of fried clams and a baked potato along with a garden salad. Let's take the items one at a time. The garden salad could have been a little more fresher as there was a lot of iceberg lettuce in the salad and that lettuce was mostly light colored and not all that fresh. Then the sides. The baked potato---well you look at my photo---was about 4 inches long. I think that is acceptable for a lunch meal but certainly not acceptable for a dinner meal. I had rice pilaf which appeared to be one large spoon placed on the platter. Once again not that much but OK for a lunch platter. Then the fried clams. It was truly a double order and the clams were cooked just right. Crispy and tasty. Even those there are a lot of small pieces of the breaded clams on the platter there was enough large pieces to make the lunch a good one. We had an excellent waitress that never let our drink glasses get empty and stopped by several times to see if we needed anything. Great service! The prices have been raised a little since our last visit. Today the price was $10.49 which was actually two dollars better than a competitor across the road and frankly I think the Red lobster food is much better than the competitor. Didn't want to but feel I have to tell of my experience at RL Plano TX Saturday pm. Called in a togo order for family early Saturday pm. 2 separate orders; 8 dinners; $270. Went to pick up and guy at the bar handling the order brought out all the food unbagged and unseparated. Set everything on the bar and we had to help separate it. All condiments (sour cream, butter, ranch dressing, tarter sauce, coconut dipping sauce, ketchup, shrimp cocktail sauce butter) were all in 1 bag together so we had to separate those per order. Asked for 6 reg side salads and 1 Caesar side salad. Caesar wasn't there and we were told that it was one of the reg regular salads just with added stuff like the other salads. We counted and were short one salad so we told him it must be the Caesar so he went back and got the Caesar salad and put in the bag. Gave us 4 cheese biscuit's per order and when I requested another 4 for he charged me $1.99 for half a dozen. Not an issue of the money; it was the principle. Together our orders cost almost $300 and they couldn't throw in 4 more biscuits. Then they forget the one dessert we ordered and had to go back to get it. Got home, and the Caesar salad was 1 chunk of romaine lettuce. No cheese, croutons or anything. The other salads were just lettuce and tomato. Food was good. However, I ordered one dinner that came with roasted potatoes and only got three cherry tomato size potatoes cut in half. I don't know if this guy was new or having a bad day or what, but I was very very disappointed in the service for the amount of money I spent. This was for a birthday dinner and I can tell you I will think twice about going to this location ever again. Also we had to wait longer than usual for our order after we called in 25 minutes before we got there and wasn't even offered a glass of tea or water while we waited. We have been to this location on several occasions, however last night the service was terrible. The girl was rude when she first came to our table and her attitude didn't change when we asked her a question about the menu. Our appetizer was cold when it came and she disappeared for long periods of time. When our food came everything was in disarray, they didn't know who ordered what or where to put things and the waitress didn't tell them, even though she was standing there. She also brought our salads so late that we were still eating them when the food arrived. She also took our check which was paid for with a gc and didn't bring the gc back even though it had a balance still on it. When she was asked about it, she proceeded to say she'd be right back. Only to go to another table to take their order and make small talk. We won't be back anytime soon, which is a shame since we used to enjoy going there. read more
