My Husband and I went last night for our 30th anniversary and I could not be more disappointed. First we arrived at about 5:15 PM and when we got inside the front area was already so crowded with people waiting to get seated . There were tons of available seats, but not enough servers so we all just stood and waited. We had wanted to get the $15.00 deal but that has to be ordered before 6. We did not get sat until after 6. We then ordered drinks and an appetizer. It took a very long time to get our drinks and then our salad came. No sooner did I go to take my first bite of salad and here comes our hot food. So I did not get to eat but a couple of bites of salad. We did not see our server again until we were done eating, so I did not even get a second drink. Very tasty food. I got the snow crab legs and also their coconut shrimp things. They were all excellent tasting and the service was great. The only downside is the price. But, for a fairly upscale seafood place, I guess it isn't too unreasonable. If it we're cheaper I would go much more often. It really is delicious. read more

Today I ordered the large salmon from the fresh fish menu. I usually order the wood grilled shrimp, salmon and lobster tail, but I'm trying to eat better. My wife has ordered the salmon before and said it was really good, so I gave it a try! I ordered the salmon with pineapple habanero, because I like spicy food. I knew it wasn't going to burn because this is a mainstream place. The sauce was sweet and spicy. Perfect! The waitress said the large salmon would be about 10-12 oz it was closer to the 10oz. My meal was great the salad and entree came out in good time, but the cheddar bay biscuits came out right before the entree. I hate that!! My sister in law ordered the snow crab legs and she ate half her order before someone came to check on everything so she could ask for butter. It should have came out with butter. And she had to eat them kinda fast so the meat would come out easily before it gets cold. Over all the Orem Red Lobster is always good. read more

This was one of the worst experiences. Yes I get were in a pandemic but that is no way to treat your customers. I went to the Orem Utah Red Lobster and we arrive there at 5:30 p.m. it took 1 hour she get seated and 1.5 hrs to get our food once order. The sever and manager was so rude never expected that. Went there for my Birthday dinner and got treated horrible. We left at 930 pm finally after the long wait. They charged us for things we didn't even order and it was just horrible. If you want to wait until 2022 to get your food and leave go there. Manager needs better people skills will never go there again. I have 17 years of customer management experience and would never treat anyone that way. They are so horrible. Forgot things as will as when they were told my daughter has a maple allergy the server says I dont think it has it in it and didn't even go check. Inconsistent food. Utah needs a better alternative to Seafood. Seated us next to a table that was unclean for at least half the time we where there. Meal was cold. My wife and I traveled 2 hours to do some shopping and visiting in the Provo and Orem area. (8/21/12 14:00 )We wanted to go somewhere nice. We are sorry we went here. Upon walking though the doors we had to wait a number of minutes so that the front counter help got done talking and laughing with each other. The employee never said a word to us rather grab two menus and lead the way to a table that was centered in the middle of the middle section. No one was seated near there and we would have been an inland unto ourseves. She placed the menuses down and walked away, no comments no nothing. I had to say rather loudy to be herad by her, if she could please find us a booth. She acted as if this was a rude comment that I made and then she sat us near the kitchen door in sight of the restrooms when there were open booths near the windows on the east side facing the mountains. The next Waitress a lady with long dark hair and dark eyes made up for the disgraceful actions of her fellow employee. She was cheerful, happy, and very informative. She was honest as to what she thought was good and what wasn't. Upon listening to her interactions with other customers (one older cowboy type and his wife were hard to please, I could see, she was pleasant and kind to these people.) The food was old, salty, sad. the presention of the food was maybe a 4 out of 10, the drinks were okay but nothing to write home about. the Bread was the best thing of the whole meal. I had a bake potato with butter and sour cream, that potato was old and dried out the skin was tough as shoe leather. If it wasn't for our waitress and her pleasant attidute we would have walked out. We went in at 2:00 for lunch. There was a line of people waiting and they told us it was going to be a 20 minute wait even though more then 3/4 of the tables were empty. We finally got seated and then service took forever. We never received any rolls until our meals were brought to us. Twas a good trip to red lobster today. We had a party of 11 and it was lunchtime. As soon as we walked in we were seated. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The appetizers came out shortly after along with our drinks. The appetizers were really tasty and good. We ordered our food and it took awhile to come out but the appetizers made up for that. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo, the fried flounder, and the lobster mashed potatoes. The potatoes were scrumptious because they had this zesty sauce on them. The Alfredo was great as well. This was my very first experience with RL. I'm regret to inform that I was dissatisfied. The menu was expensive for what we got. One of our group got crab legs and I'm sure someone from Seattle would have just laughed! We waited for an hour in the waiting lounge (four two-seater benches) even when we called two hours ahead, and there was about 50 people all together. We were excited that the Restrictions were lifted and decided to celebrate at the Red Lobster in Orem for lunch. We were totally disappointed with the entire experience. The first and most important reason was, they did not follow the COVID 19 safety guidelines. They allowed customers who were picking up their food to enter the restaurant with out a face mask. They were require to walk past customers who were sitting at tables and go to the back of the restaurant and wait around for their order. One woman kept coughing and was not at the required six feet away from some of the patrons. It was to close for comfort and it required us to keep putting on and taking off our masks while we were eating. 2. My husband ordered the Caesar salad. It was made of Iceberg lettuce when it should have been made of Romaine lettuce. Romaine lettuce has a darker color than iceberg lettuce, and is slightly more bitter. The salad did not have any parmesan cheese and the dressing tasted like Worcestershire sauce. The dressing should be creamy, rich, and tangy and usually has an acidic component This dressing was straight up Worcestershire sauce. The ten Dollar salad should have costed.99 cents. 3. I made the mistake of ordering the fried fish. The fish didn't have a taste. It looked like fish, it was flaky but it didn't taste like anything. I had to ask for lemons (usually come with fish) just to get a taste. As I was eating, the paper under the fish came apart and I got a little in my mouth. I thought to myself, that the paper tasted better than the fish. (very sad.) We left totally disappointed and a little scared. Well despite all the picky eaters that rated lower, I liked this place. Going to Red Lobster is a rare treat (being college students will do that), and I enjoy it very much. We went during lobster fest, and I got the dish that came with a split lobster tail, crab, shrimp, and scallops. Where else can you go in Orem for crab legs that taste somewhat normal? For those of us who are landlocked most of the year, this is a decent alternative. The cheddar biscuits that start your meal are good. Their menu changes from time to time, so it seems like it is newer every time I go. Because they are the only seafood game in town, the wait here can seem like forever. I would recommend the launch time menu. It is actually cheap for the amount of food you get. And I would rather go here any day than a burger joint that is roughly the same price. read more

In an attempt to be fair, I will give it 3 stars. Without getting into too much detail, our waitress was absolutely terrible. After waiting 40 minutes for our salads, they finally came. At that time, I asked if our shrimp would be out soon since it had taken so long to get the salads (it was endless shrimp season). She replied by saying that she was double sat, and if we were her only table that we would have our food sooner. Then she asked if I had ever been a server. She was very rude about the whole thing and condescending. What a ridiculous excuse. Waiting 40 minutes on a plate of lettuce is past the point of serving another table. Things got worse from there, but I will spare you the details. I am more upset that the manager just listened to us, but did not offer us any solutions or do anything to correct the issue. I wasn't looking for a hand out or anything, just an apology or something or maybe even a soda. It didn't happen. The manager just said that the server was known to be sarcastic. We definitely will not return. So many things could have been handled differently to fix the situation. The food was decent (after waiting an hour). read more

Red Lobster is as good as it gets for seafood in Orem Utah!We love their ranch salad dressing and their Biscuits. I haven't tasted any better. Their seafood is good. I'm a Big fan of the Coconut Shrimp. The Pasta dishes I've had are good. My friend had the chicken Alfredo and said its one of the best he's ever had. Oh boy. Let's start with my lobster bisque. It tasted like nacho cheese. You know the velveeta sauce you get at the movies with your tortilla chips. It had the thick consistency of a cheese fondu as well. My wife's salmon dish was unsalted and the skin on the fish was raggy. The worst part was the booger's on my utensils. When I asked for another set, that too was nasty. When my bowl of velveeta fondu aka lobster bisque arrived the spoon also had dried food on it.
