We capped off our 55th anniversary with dinner at Red Lobster after a movie at Atlas Cinemas. We went to an early showing so we had a relatively early dinner. Stopped in during lunch time on a Monday. The business was steady. Had a small wait for the host to appear and another for my waiter to appear, but after that things got going. My waiter Josh who was also bartending, was friendly and efficient. I tried the summer special Watermelon Martini. It tasted of fruit syrup and mint. Not exactly my jam, but might be someone else's. I also ordered the limited time special, Roasted Garlic Seafood Bake with Broccoli for the side. The bake came out timely, but the broccoli was not ready for some reason. I ended up receiving the broccoli 10 mins into my meal along with a surprise bowl of sauce that was left off my entree. No wonder it was so dry... Overall I was a bit disappointed in my visit. Been awhile since I was at a Red Lobster so I thought I would give it another try. The biscuits came out Warm. Could use a little more flavor but not terrible. Ordered lobster bisque as my starter. Came out warm. You can taste some flavor but needs a little more. Main dish is a Lobster Pappardelle pasta. Looks and smells amazing. Now this is a 10 out of 10 dish. There were 3 adults and 1 toddler. Two ordered the lobster roll. It was disappointing to say the least. The lobster was overcooked and rubbery and it was overall oily and lacked seasoning. 2/14/25 The hostess with the pink heart sweater has horrible customer service. I came here my 3little grandkids valentine dinner. I was placed on a wait list at 6pm and was told it would be about an hour & half wait. As we waited I noticed people on the waitlist that came in after my party and were being seated before us. The 1st time I followed up she stated there were 3 in front of us that is on the wait list as well over an hour later I follow up and was told there are now 6 people on the waitlist in front of my party. This lady had no consideration for people who had been waiting patiently for hours. Even taking a phone reservation 2+hrs after the list had closed. Seeing I ended up on the list because I called about 5:45 and was told the restaurant was no longer taking them. It's sad because I been here a few times and the service was good. read more

Just, NO. We knew it wasn't good when we sat down and overheard a server telling other patrons that's he "hates this f*cking job" and wants to quit. You guessed it, he ended up being our server as well. Not only did we sit patiently for 15 minutes before he came for a drink order, we didn't receive the drinks (water and margarita flight) until we were nearly done with our dinner, and that was after asking someone else. Our server apologized because "ain't nobody helping me." My husband's order owas wrong, but eventually corrected. Manager came over, not super helpful...told us he was "still a little new." Doesn't look like much when you walk in but the food was great. We had to wait for about 45 minutes to be seated due to Covid and their seating arrangements. Our waitress Alisa was prompt and very attentive. The only thing I was disappointed in was the floor because there was a lot of food & straws on the floor and it needed to be cleaned up. I dined at Red Lobster Mentor and the food and service was great until it was time to pay. My server brought me the wrong bill to sign. When I let him know that the he bought me the wrong bill to sign, he asked me for my change to make the correction. I told him that I needed to check my charge to see the amount that was charged and to wait but he did not. I checked my charge card and saw the amount charged was correct. I quickly went and found my server and told him that the charge was correct, he just mixed up the bill to be signed. He told me he would be right over to my table. But, to my surprise he said that he reversed the charge without my consent (an unauthorized transaction). Since he never told me that he reversed the charge and went to get his manager, I was surprised when Trisha, the manager, told me that I needed to satisfy my bill and asked me for my credit card again. I was angry but never spoke loudly, explaining the situation. The manager told me that the charge was reversed and I could look at my charge and see a credit which I explained I looked and did not see a credit and did not what to be charged twice. She continued to ask for payment which I already satisfied. I told her, stop talking to me and she threatened to call Mentor Police. I said, I have not raised my voice at you. As I was pulling out my credit card I asked you to stop talking to me. She said, I was rude to her and she would call the police. I have never been treated like this before and it is unacceptable! When I got home, I have two charges to my credit card and no refund! If the credit does not show up, I will dispute the charges, of course with my credit card holder. I know that it may take time for the credit to show up but I know I was never given a credit receipt just told that the police would be called! But how does this happen? What type of service and what type of manager works at this establishment? Is it one who takes advantage of the customer and then threatens to call the police on the customer instead of rectifying the problem! Had a gift card for Red Lobster, but we are residents of Massachusetts, and we know fresh seafood. Came back to Ohio to see family and had lunch at RL to use up the gift card $100, which is not easy at lunch hour. Two adults, one senior and two children. Wait staff was really attentive and we had plenty of bay biscuits and drink refills. We prefer three apps, calamari, shrimp cocktail and stuffed mushroom caps. Calamari was nice, crunchy, only rings. Stuffed caps were so so, not certain stuffed w much crab. Saved the shrimp cocktail for my daughter. We had two bowls of clam chowder, two mini lobster rolls, tiny broiled flounder w rice pilaf (lunch version probably for a tiny person as I have seen larger sunfish, fish tacos, three shrimp platter and side salads. All the food was typical red lobster. Nothing horrible, nothing extraordinary. W soft drinks spent $114+tip. New England definitely has the best seafood, which is probably why Red Lobster is not located in the area. read more

The lobster was rubbery as were the scallops. The filet mignon was tough and had to be sent back as one side was barely cooked. The flavor wasn't good either. It tasted like steak sauce was poured on top as it cooked. The green beans were literally fresh beans mixed with can beans. You could tell at the beans were different colors and different cuts of beans. Honestly one of the worst meals ever. The rolls were fresh and the best part of the entire dinner. After having a bad experience at the Beachwood location, I was worried when I tried the Mentor location a couple of weeks later. But after having a bad day some days you just want crab legs lol. At first, it was like deja vu when they told us they had no tables available where there was a server...but unlike Beachwood, our hostess said hold out for a moment and spoke to a server who said she was serve us at one of the many empty tables. And it ended up being an AMAZING experience. The server was friendly, funny and helpful and didn't make us feel like we were causing her a problem. We visited this location on 4/15/22 and was told the wait would be 45 minutes due to them being short staffed with only 2 servers. Our wait was only about 15 and was apologizing to for the wait. We were seated at a booth in the bar area where we were informed that Krystal (the bar tender) would be our server. Krystal was awesome! She gave us exceptional service and came back to check on us multiple times. Krystal was both welcoming and professional. This level of service is extremely rare these days. All of the staff we encountered were really nice and kept it professional even with extremely short staff. Great job all, I was very impressed. Also, our food was hot and fresh too! So we go to RL very regularly. I love the food, and we always ask for Sarah. We went last weekend on Sunday and Sarah was already gone for the day . So we were sat at a table and 12 minutes went by and not one single person ever acknowledged our presence. Many servers walked by and looked at us. Well after a few more minutes we decided to get up and walk out. On the way out we told the manager who was at the front desk about our issue. She offered to seat us again and get someone over to the table. We were frustrated and just decided to leave and go to Longhorn in Mentor, where we were treated excellent. I just find it hard to believe that none of the servers in that establishment recognized that we hadn't been greeted yet? Very pathetic and extremely unprofessional. Red Lobster is going down hill. This review is based on my experiences that I had over the last few weeks visiting this location. I love Red Lobster. I have for years. Apparently though this one has a challenge understanding that your job as a waitress is to serve the customers. We came on a quiet afternoon. They sat us right away, there was barely anyone in there. There also was no waitress to be found. After waiting almost 10 minutes without even seeing a waitress we went back to the hostess to inform them of this. We see her go in the back to get a waitress. She comes after another 5 minutes. We order at the same time we order are drinks and ask for the biscuits. She comes back with our drinks and then informs us the kitchen is making more biscuits. She then comes back a short while later to tell us the person cooking them forgot about them. That they had to make more. Long story short we did not get our biscuits until AFTER our food. Which also took an insane amount of time to come out. So after experiencing this, why would I come back? I had hope. We go on a Saturday where again it does not look very busy. We have to wait 10 minutes to be seated and are seated cramped with everyone else in the exact same area. The rest of the place is empty. We then spend the next 10 minutes watching multiple waiters and waitresses walk by us (and right next to us since we were all on top of each other). Not one said a word to us, not one said "we will be right with you" "sorry for your wait" or took our order. At one point I was staring at two waitresses that were watching me while they were drinking water by a check out stand. At this point we decided to leave. We were pissed. I stopped by to tell the hostess that looked about 16 and her only response was "that's terrible i'm so sorry" Learn how to teach your servers to be actual severs. It appears you have a bunch of kids working that could care less to actually serve their patrons. My mother and I went on a Monday afternoon. Place was more or less dead. Red Lobster is my favorite chain restaurant (I know! I'm extremely classy). So, I was sad after experiencing the quality of this location. My mother sent back her rainbow trout order. Hello we went to Mentor Ohio location yesterday March 13 for my son's birthday. I ordered create your own platter my husband had a bowl and my son had Cajun pasta. I ordered crab legs which were tiny and overcooked, yet cold. Overcooked crab legs stick to the shell and fall apart. The shrimp scampie I did a double order. When our waitress brought out my plate I noticed that they have brought out the breaded shrimp. She asked is everything okay and I said no I'm supposed to have scampi and not the breaded shrimp. She said oh I go get the right shrimp. 5 minutes later she comes back wearing black rubber gloves and as I'm cutting some of my meal reaches onto my plate and grabs the breaded shrimp. I was stunned by this! You reached into a plate of food I was actively eating I couldn't even speak. I'm sure someone told her to do this. Serenity was a nice waitress but the behavior was over the top A good 5)10 mins later the Scampi came out. At this moment I'm furious over the entire situation. Don't expect to much when you want "Fresh Seafood" and go to Red Lobster. Seems like alot of the stuff here is pre made and just heated up to order. The atmosphere was a little on the loud side with dim lighting. Our server was really sweet and kind though. She was very attentive and I actually felt really bad for her due to the rude customers sitting in back of me. The biscuits are good as always and the drinks from the bar were pretty loaded up with alcohol :) This time I decided to get crab legs and whoa... what a bad idea that was!! Not fresh whatsoever and the shell was stale like biting into thin cardboard lol. I honestly don't know what to rate this place overall because i get a different experience everytime i go here lol.
