Always exploring new area food spots. Showed up here and decided to start yelp'ing. Great service and care. Website made it easy to add ourselves to the wait line prior to arrival which made for a very short wait time

I don't typically frequent chain restaurants, but Another Broken Egg is one of my favorites. I really like their reservation system because it's easy to gauge how busy the restaurant is ahead of time and move accordingly. If you plan to go on the weekend, you'll want to go to their website as soon as you wake up and put your name on the active waiting list. The site will text you a link & let you know how long of a wait to expect. The link updates live so you can check if/when your timeframe changes. There are always fun drinks on their regular menu, and the seasonal drink menus are good too! It's a bright, buzzing, family dining atmosphere. They have the most decadent french toast and pancake options so if you're a sweets lover, you'll have a hard time choosing which stack you want. I also really love that they have a variety of seafood brunch options...That's really rare for this type of restaurant. I always get the Mardi Gras omelette that has shrimp and crawfish in it. The city grits (bacon, cheese, green onion, tomato & bacon grease) are a must try too.

My husband and I really enjoyed our first time dining in at Another Broken Egg. For a busy Saturday morning, everything ran smoothly. Our server, Destiny, answered our questions, made us feel welcomed and was very attentive. The manager even came over after our meal to speak and ask us how everything was. I had the Apple Fritter French Toast with bacon and potatoes (substituted for eggs). It was delicious! I really enjoyed my meal. It wasn't too sweet. It was just right! While I was sitting there eating I was trying to figure out when I was going to come back. I also had the Lemon Blueberry Mimosa which was one of the best mimosas I've ever had! I'll definitely get the bigger size next time since I know how good it is now. My husband had the Supreme Omelette which he said was really good and filling. He couldn't finish his whole meal that's how filling it was. We'll definitely be back soon. We told others about our great experience and they said they'll also be visiting soon.

Walking in, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess. It was very busy so we opted for the bar. Being Brunch Month, I had to have a Bloody Mary and it was a knock out. Spicy and with a twist of BACON! I was hopeful for a great experience. It was very busy and the food did take a while...a long while. When it came the jambalaya wasn't a looker. It had a layer of grease under the overcooked egg and was just slimy to eat. The eggs Benedict was...passable. The egg was overcooked and the hollandaise was too acidic with no balance of salt. My partner's omelette of chorizo, bacon and cream cheese was up to his standard. He said it was bursting with flavor but he was surprised to note the potatoes had absolutely no seasoning on them. The restaurant itself was bright and open. The music was upbeat and fresh and the atmosphere was quite comfortable but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

Busy Sunday morning but seated fairly quick. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Brunch menu and a good range of options. I opted for the Apple Fritter French Toast. With sides of scrambled eggs and house made sausage patties. The French toast wasn't bad but didn't wow. The eggs were wet and bland. The sausage was mapley in some spots and really peppery in others. Don't think I'd order either again.

Drinks were great. Food very average we got there a hour before close food came out cold, taste wise it was ok. If it was hot I probably could have loved it. Probably won't go back.

    Lemon Blueberry Mimosa, delicious!

Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, this was our first time coming here, so we received complementary biscuit beignets, the honey orange marmalade pairs great with them. The lemon blueberry mimosa was the perfect pairing with my lobster & Brie omelette, the heuvos rancheros was muy bueno, & the kids enjoyed the waffles & pancakes. The in house sausage had mixed reviews, if you like a sweeter flavor sausage you'll love it, if you're a savory sausage type, don't get it, you won't like it. The gumbo was also good. If you're looking for a bunch spot, definitely check this place out!

Another day of volleyball, so another 2-hour break where we hit this place up. Based on some of the other reviews, I don't know if I just got lucky but I thought the experience was great as was the food. Now I guess it could be that I ordered a simple dish of three buttermilk pancakes with two eggs over easy and two sides of sausage. All was tasty especially the house made sausage. My wife had their version of the Shrimp and Grits which she enjoyed but thought they strayed from what she's used to as traditional. I sampled it and thought it was pretty tasty too. And once again, I failed my fellow Yelpers! and didn't take pictures. Our server was very friendly and efficient which impressed us as our party consisted of 12-people. No complaints from anyone at our table. I'd definitely come back.

The outside of the bar has a swanky vibe to it with : couches with pillows, fireplace, and even igloos in the winter time. I went here Friday night with a friend to get cocktails and have a good conversation. Upon entering, we were so confused. I hadn't been here in a few years and the inside looked so different to when I have been here previously. Right when we walked in there was a band playing right by the entrance door performing which is kinda cool but it was SOOOO loud I couldn't hear my friend the entire time even though I was sitting next to her at the bar. We didn't know we needed reservations to come here and get a table so we got stuck at the bar. I liked the idea of a band performing but c'mon we want to be able to hear each other talk. The bartender was right across from us taking drink orders and I could barely hear him either. I was even more confused when I couldn't hear him explain why I was double charged. It's Wednesday today I'm writing this review and went last Friday and my credit card still hasn't been refunded from that double charge. I have called Billy's and left a voicemail to speak with someone who can fix this issue and never got a call back. I even went in yesterday, on Tuesday after work to see if I could speak to a manager in person since no one had returned my call. I get there and there's one person working there and said the manager wasn't in but he took my info and told me the manager would give me a call that day... well that hasn't happened at all. It's such an inconvenience to not only be charged twice but to have to drive out of my way to try to get a refund for their mistake. It makes me not want to come back as I'm frustrated. The drinks are very good but strong! They have a lot of options for martinis. I did get the S'more's one to start and my friend did also neither of us liked it. It was ridiculously chocolate-y and tasted like straight espresso. I would expect that from an espresso martini but not smores. My friend loves espresso martinis but she didn't like it. I did order the Blueberry Lemonade one I believe it was called and it was delicious. I do recommend that one! I would love to come here again for some good martinis however not getting a response back from the manager or staff member hoping to resolve my issue with double charging me is frustrating to say the least.

"Hook and Hoof" has been in downtown Willoughby for quite a while so they must be doing something right. And the fact that there aren't that many high level dining establishments in the Willoughby area helps. The first thing I noticed was the facility is very narrow which lends to a crowded feel. And all you need is one overly boisterous table (which was right next to us) and the noise level can be overwhelming. The server we had for the evening was very pleasant. She did a good job being timely with everything. But, it was odd that she often did not listen to an entire request (or maybe just couldn't hear) before walking away. There were a couple of requests for simple standard items that she wasn't even sure they had. I just found it odd. The food however was excellent. The kitchen staff did an exemplary job all night. I had a marvelous cocktail from the well stocked bar. And my double cut pork chop was fantastic. So full of flavor, juicy, cooked exactly as I requested. The sides that accompanied it were just tender enough without being mushy. And my banana cream pie was great. Overall, I give "Hook and Hoof" a solid 4. I definitely can see us going back. They deserve another try. You should give them a try and see for yourself.

There's a big disclaimer at the bottom of the menu that says "no substitutions or modifications". Geez, for a $40 fish plate you couldn't have modified it for me?? The meatballs were good, but came out luke warm. The wedges were good. The atmosphere was nice. For 3 meatballs, 5 potato wedges, and a 15% tip (she lost 5% due to not asking us for drinks) our bill came to $45. I *wish* I was joking. We won't be back. I honestly feel like I just got ripped off.

If we were not looking for this place specifically, I know we would've driven right past it! It's a standalone little building and the only markings I saw outside was a little sign that said BAR. But it was 2 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and there were several cars in the parking lot, which is a good sign. The inside is really tiny. There's a large U-shaped bar and about six tables. We looked in the menu and opted for their famous Smashburger. It is $14 and comes with fries. It is a double patty cheeseburger. I did not want a burger that big so I opted for just one Patty. They said that was no problem, but the price was still the same. I also got onion rings, which were $3 more. The food came out really fast and you could tell it came right out of the fryer because the french fries were super hot! This place is called a dive bar, and I guess it is - but on a Saturday afternoon, the place was filled with all kinds of people. On one side of us was a family with little kids. On the other side of us was a couple in their 20s. And then the rest of the place was filled with people from every age group. I have to say that the music they play there is fabulous! But back to the food. The burger was seasoned really well! It is a smash burger, but they're still able to make it crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Our server was really good. She did not hover, but she was around to see if you need anything. Depending on the vibe that you're looking for, if you want more of a bar vibe, you should go in the evening, but we were happy to just be in a relaxed little joint with good food. They opened up another Crowley's in Painesville so we will probably have to try that one too.
