I don't typically frequent chain restaurants, but Another Broken Egg is one of my favorites. I really like their reservation system because it's easy to gauge how busy the restaurant is ahead of time and move accordingly. If you plan to go on the weekend, you'll want to go to their website as soon as you wake up and put your name on the active waiting list. The site will text you a link & let you know how long of a wait to expect. The link updates live so you can check if/when your timeframe changes. There are always fun drinks on their regular menu, and the seasonal drink menus are good too! It's a bright, buzzing, family dining atmosphere. They have the most decadent french toast and pancake options so if you're a sweets lover, you'll have a hard time choosing which stack you want. I also really love that they have a variety of seafood brunch options...That's really rare for this type of restaurant. I always get the Mardi Gras omelette that has shrimp and crawfish in it. All I can say is meh... I have been wanting to try this place for sometime, and went on Father's Day. Unfortunately, it was a lot better in my head than it was in reality. Now I'm willing to give some consideration, considering it was Father's Day and they were slammed. But we were there for over an hour, and tables were not cleared, dirty plates remained, and the place looked like a bomb went off. But, I get it - they were busy. So I looked around and food on plates looked pretty delicious and I was excited about that. I ordered a Florentine scramble and my husband ordered shrimp & egg Benedict. And unfortunately, an OK situation just went south. When my food arrived, it was obvious it had sat under the warmer for a while. The eggs had that shiny look to them. They were flat overcooked and had sat. They were accompanied by a sad, dry English muffin, and a scoop of cheesy grits that left a lot to be desired. My husband's breakfast wasn't much better. As usual the picture looks amazing... The reality leaves you wanting the shrimp were tiny, pinky sized, and the food was bland. You had white food on a white plate... That pretty much says it all. Our server never checked on us, the manager walked around pissed off and in the meantime no-one cleared away the dirty dishes that piled up around us. All in all not great. Would I go back? My husband and I really enjoyed our first time dining in at Another Broken Egg. For a busy Saturday morning, everything ran smoothly. Our server, Destiny, answered our questions, made us feel welcomed and was very attentive. The manager even came over after our meal to speak and ask us how everything was. I had the Apple Fritter French Toast with bacon and potatoes (substituted for eggs). It was delicious! I really enjoyed my meal. It wasn't too sweet. It was just right! While I was sitting there eating I was trying to figure out when I was going to come back. I also had the Lemon Blueberry Mimosa which was one of the best mimosas I've ever had! I'll definitely get the bigger size next time since I know how good it is now. My husband had the Supreme Omelette which he said was really good and filling. Go back to school or you people should have stayed in school and get an education and you guys probably would not have to wait tables for a living. Walking in, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess. It was very busy so we opted for the bar. Being Brunch Month, I had to have a Bloody Mary and it was a knock out. Spicy and with a twist of BACON! I was hopeful for a great experience. It was very busy and the food did take a while...a long while. When it came the jambalaya wasn't a looker. It had a layer of grease under the overcooked egg and was just slimy to eat. The eggs Benedict was...passable. The egg was overcooked and the hollandaise was too acidic with no balance of salt. My partner's omelette of chorizo, bacon and cream cheese was up to his standard. He said it was bursting with flavor but he was surprised to note the potatoes had absolutely no seasoning on them. Me and my husband visited Saturday where I ordered my eggs medium. When Paige our waitress brought my breakfast my eggs were definitely not cooked medium. When I asked Paige to please take them back and have them cook more she proceeded to give me a lesson in the preparation of eggs. Thank you Paige but I just wanted my eggs cooked a little more. Based on some of the other reviews, I don't know if I just got lucky but I thought the experience was great as was the food. Now I guess it could be that I ordered a simple dish of three buttermilk pancakes with two eggs over easy and two sides of sausage. All was tasty especially the house made sausage. My wife had their version of the Shrimp and Grits which she enjoyed but thought they strayed from what she's used to as traditional. I sampled it and thought it was pretty tasty too. I have read some of the reviews for this restaurant and I don't feel it deserves a 3.5 star rating. I feel it deserves a 5/5 star rating! We have had nothing but great experiences at this restaurant!! We have been here many times and have had great service and good food!! Some dishes are a little pricier, but you get a decent amount of food for the price. We also love the farmhouse type ambiance! There are times you have to wait, but we have learned to put ourselves on the online wait list before leaving the house. It helps reduce and sometimes eliminates the wait time once arriving. We went to this restaurant for the first time the other day. I had heard it was a bit overpriced for what you get, but my husband and I wanted to try it anyway. Everyone was very nice there, but that is pretty much the only positive thing in my opinion. They have a vast menu, but what we ordered was not very impressive. I ordered eggs, Benedict, and there was barely any hollandaise sauce on it. It came with a side of potatoes, and there were literally 12 small overcooked, lukewarm hash brown type potatoes in a big bowl to make it look good. The "fresh fruit "was very frozen before and tasted as such , the mimosas were very overpriced for the size as well. Again, lots of friendly people here, but the food is extremely overpriced for the quality. I had heard the same exact thing before we came as well. I don't think we will be going again. There are way too many other options that deliver a much better breakfast for a lot less money. I don't know what this new trend is with fancy dancy words and Presentation with overpriced items at "trendy" restaurants , but it is disappointing. For just being opened two days, the service and food was very good. Starting with the server (Sarah), she was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She was responsive to any questions we had and offered prompt service from taking our order, keeping the coffee coming and refreshed to delivering a check. Several times, she would stop by to get our comments on the food and if there was anything else. The menu is interesting to say the least. Definitely not your average breakfast place. A nice blend of seasonal and permanent items. Pricing was mid-priced for what they offered. We ordered the Crab Cake Benidict and Lobster Hash Benidict. Both had a good portion of crab cake/lobster. Having the eggs on separate pieces of either hash cake or muffin, allowed for easy sharing. The poached eggs were cooked but still soft yoke. The coffee was dark and full bodied. The only item to improve would be their country potatoes. Boring would probably best describe them. They also offer Vegetarian and Gluten Friendly Menu Items.
