Water and coffee pot for two!
    Rose K.

My dad brought me here for breakfast. We came early around 8:15 am. I was impressed with the pot of coffee brought to the table for the two of us. It was excellent coffee ! We both ordered the turkey sausage and biscuits breakfast. I ended up taking home one of the biscuits and potatoes. It was really tasty. Our server checked in on us at a comfortable time pace. The location is comfortable and clean. Really glad to have been brought here. I'd like to return on the weekend for their brunch. It looks lovely. Definitely will be back.

My friend and I came here for breakfast recently. When we walked in, we were told it would be about a 20 minute wait. We were told they were short staffed and unfortunately you could tell they were. The staff were still pretty efficient given the circumstances. This location has a small bar area and those seats are first come, first served. The 20 minute wait ended up being about 45 minutes. Once we were seated, our waitress came over quickly. I ordered a kale tonic juice and the BLT Benedict. I hadn't been to a first watch in quite some time, so I didn't have any expectations. Our drinks and food arrived quickly and everything was really fresh and delicious. Overall, our experience was good. I just hope they get hire more staff soon!

Will def try again. Service was attentive, yet felt rushed to leave once food was done. Food was decent. Place was clean. Waitstaff seemed agitated with each other which was off putting.

UPDATE: I really enjoy coming here and come here frequently since they opened. I am a regular at the one in Mayfield and usually go there but decided to order out from the Willoughby one today by placing an order on the phone. I had my dog with me at the time of pick up and didn't want to leave her in the car by herself so I had called the restaurant asking them if they could please bring my food to my car - they agreed and I had told them the make, model, and color of my car and was very grateful they could accommodate me and my pup. However, 20 minutes goes by and I called and asked them if they were still bringing my food out for me to my car and another women picked up after my phone rang for a long time and said okay yes the girl couldn't find you - which I find odd since I was parked outside in the parking lot at the time I had called her. Then the lady on the phone gets snippy and she's like you know you have to pay right. And I was like uh yeah I was going to give you cash or I can give you my card details. (I was going to let them keep the change for being helpful) and she's like no you would need to come inside to get your change and I can't take card over the phone. Ridiculous. I used to work at a cafe myself and this is common protocol for most cafes. Also the food was cold at this time and I told her that and she's like now you want me to remake it for you and I said to cancel the order instead. It would've been nice to at least give me a call to tell me you couldn't find me or actually come out to the parking lot and look for my car. This business has put me in a sour mood today and I didn't even get my lunch. If you can't accommodate your customers just say that instead of making me wait in my car for a long while and not even let me know. I would've sat there all day.

Normally, I do not like leaving reviews on chain restaurants. But I will for this one, considering I did not expect to find a first watch in Cleveland. At first watch, you get what you pay for. This restaurant is the epitome of quality over quantity. Everything is always delicious! The food is hot, the servings are appropriate. my only regret was, I did not get the lunch special which is what my sister ordered. Her turkey sandwich looked amazing! But I could not go without my million dollar bacon. First watch will always have a customer in me no matter where I travel to. As always job well done

It was my 2nd time at this location. Each time the servers were very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and they allow modifications. The wait was appropriate and the food was healthy. This location seems bigger than the others. I didn't feel cramped in and I love it!

The host was attentive and welcoming, getting us a table after just a few minutes wait. The food was excellent, my favorite was the egg benedict with smoked salmon, paired with a delicious morning drink (wish I remembered the name!). A lovely spot for a relaxed breakfast.

I will preface with I went the second weekend they were open so of course they were swamped. We had about a 30-minute wait for a 2 top. They do have quite a few waiting benches, which are nice. They have a cute bar with stools, tables, or booths to choose from. It's a very bright, fun atmosphere. It is one of those places where you aren't assigned one server, and everyone just helps out. Everyone was friendly, but a few things slipped through the cracks (refills, a box, water). I think that will probably work itself out when they aren't so busy. The coffees were dessert in a cup but I loved it. We tried the mint mocha and the caramel honey one, and both were delicious! I wanted to order a second, but we didn't get a server in time. Our food was also delicious. We were both impressed with the quality of the food, and it did not take long at all. I ordered the chicki-changa on the breakfast side with breakfast potatoes. He ordered the roast beef sandwich with the salad. The horseradish sauce that comes with it was really good! I'm really glad we checked it out, I will definitely get the chicki-changa again.

Inside is a busy dining room with roughhewn decor, lots of light wood and plenty of fish items. Fairly classic diner menu with the significant difference of steelhead trout as a protein option. I ordered the seafood chowder and the steelhead hash. The soup came out in a minute or two, a very nicely presented small bowl of thick chowder stuffed with shrimp, fish and seafood, nicely seasoned and topped with some green onions. The chowder was delicious and very hearty. The hash was out a couple of minutes later, a plate loaded with diced potatoes, onions, peppers and pieces of steelhead trout topped with 3 over medium eggs and sided with 2 homemade biscuits. The hash was very nice, although if I get it again I would ask them to crisp up the potatoes, the trout works nicely as it is a mild fish with just enough flavor to stand up to the hash, the eggs were tasty and the biscuits were excellent. Overall a delicious and satisfying dish. Chagrin River Diner is a real find, it serves upscale diner food in a comfortable environment at reasonable prices. Service was great, the atmosphere is unique for the area, this place would feel right at home in a Rocky Mountain resort town. I will be back to Chagrin River Diner and try some of the other menu items.

Maybe it's just me, but it made it uncomfortable. The coffee selections were pretty basic and I don't remember any food options but I wasn't looking either.
