Notso Omelette
Larry C.

Let me start by saying The staff here was great. They were nice. They were friendly. They were genuine. Each one. But they weren't enough to make up for limited and poor choices on the menu. Nothing jumped out as Oh, I need to try that. I ordered the Notso Omelette. It was Notso good. It had no flavor to speak off. There were no spices. The eggs tasted not right. May have been from a powder. The hash browns in the omelette were undercooked and the other ingredients were just there. I ate less than half. My wife got French toast that looked unappetizing, like egg dipped disappointment. She said it was ok. (I didn't try it, so ?) Again. The staff made the place enjoyable. The food made it regrettable.

Wonderful place to eat!!!! Staff are super friendly and the foods almost Even better. The Monte Cristo sandwich is a must try. It's a big sandwich with a honey mustard type of dipping sauce. The clam chowder is Also impressive. Highly recommend trying this place

Stopped in for breakfast this morning. It was very busy, but there was seating at the bar, so we chose that so we could be immediately seated. The waitress immediately asked what we wanted to drink, she quickly returned with unsweetened tea and coffee for both of us. We both ordered the Barcelona Omelette, which is an open faced two egg omelette with Jalapeños, salsa and Jack cheese. The jalapeños were a little too hot for my wife but I liked them. We both had sides of toast. My wife also had a side of bacon and I had the monster hash as my side. It was hash browns with onions and green peppers and then covered with cheddar cheese. Everything tasted great!

Food was very bland. Wrap completely fell apart and had one piece of chicken in it. The burger had to be a frozen patty.

Our server was friendly and accommodating. Our food arrived promptly and it was hot and fresh! I ordered the egg and cheese croissant with homefries. The portions are huge, so come hungry! I couldn't finish it all! Mom ordered a daily special - the turkey & avocado croissant with coleslaw. And the chicken noodle soup. She really enjoyed it all. I'd recommend visiting this location.

We have recommended your restaurant to many people, especially praising your salad bar for its freshness, quality, and variety. We've also ordered the AYCE fish fry many times -- including nearly every Friday during Lent last year -- and it has always been crispy, well‑drained, and never greasy. This visit, however, fell far below the standards we have come to expect. From the moment we were seated, the experience was noticeably different. The hostess did not ask for drink orders, which has always been standard. Our server -- slightly heavy‑set with a long black ponytail -- appeared disengaged and gave the clear impression that she did not want to be there. We confirmed with her that the AYCE fish was $12.99 and included all‑you‑can‑eat soup and salad, exactly as we were told earlier in the day when we called. Her response was, "She always tells people that, but it's one trip." Despite the inconsistency, we proceeded and requested the fish extra crispy and well‑drained. We waited at least 30 minutes for the first round of fish, even though only two other tables were occupied and they already had their food. When the fish finally arrived, it was extremely greasy, not crispy, and the bottoms were completely soggy. When we pointed this out, the server simply said, "I told him," offering no apology, no concern, and no attempt to resolve the issue. She took the fish back to have it remade. She returned shortly after and removed our sides without explanation. The second order of fish was still dripping with grease. Grease was visibly pooled in the breading, as if it had come straight from the fryer without being drained at all. We asked another employee if she was the manager. She said no but asked what was wrong. As we began explaining, the manager, Heather, approached. At that same moment, the server stood behind me and said, "Oh, they're not happy with that either." Heather also showed no empathy, no apology, and no effort to correct the situation. Her demeanor was irritated and dismissive from the start. We told Heather to remove the fish from the bill. She agreed but insisted we still had to pay for the soup and salad. She then brought a bill for nearly $30, charging us for AYCE soup and salad even though we each had only one cup of soup and one small salad. When we questioned this, Heather became visibly annoyed and said she would instead charge us for a side salad and a cup of soup. We explained that the fish has never been like this before. Heather's response was, "Then go out to Madison, they have the same fish there." This was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. When we went to pay, we informed Heather that we were veterans. She applied the discount to only one meal. When I told her I was also a veteran, she said, "Oh, you're a veteran too? Well, I need to see ID." This was disrespectful and unnecessary, especially after she acknowledged she recognized us from previous visits. My husband was wearing a veteran jacket, yet she still demanded to see his ID as well. Heather then brought up the fish again, stating it "looked perfectly fine" to her. When I explained the amount of grease on the napkin and on my hands, she dismissed it, saying, "It's deep fried, there's going to be grease," and repeated that it looked fine. As I calmly explained that it had never been served this way before, she told me I was "getting out of control." At no point did I raise my voice -- I was simply explaining the issue. After that comment, I stepped outside while my husband finished paying. He later told me that Heather was speaking about me in front of him to another employee, again calling me "out of control," and told the server she wasn't getting a tip. It is clear that something has changed. The friendly, attentive, welcoming atmosphere that once set your restaurant apart is gone. The staff now appear disengaged, unprofessional, and uninterested in providing quality service. We no longer see any of the kind servers who made dining here enjoyable. We are extremely disappointed by how this visit was handled from start to finish. We hope management takes this feedback seriously. We have supported your restaurant since your grand opening, and we would like to feel confident returning -- but based on this experience, that is not possible unless significant improvements are made.

The atmosphere was bright and homey, an ideal place to start your morning. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken immediately. I appreciated that we were given a pitcher of water alongside our main drink orders. However, we weren't very impressed with the size of the cups for the waters. They were one step above a shot glass. Prices are about what you'd expect. We both got pancakes, mine having chocolate chips and strawberries. While I prefer to have my strawberries more sauce-like than fresh, I still found them enjoyable. We both liked our pancakes, but I have two complaints about them. I don't like that they don't come with some sort of side, especially when I'm paying nearly $8 for them and 99 cents per topping. And while they're supposed to be bottomless, the size of the pancakes makes it pointless. If you get the full order (which is required for the bottomless option), you get three pancakes that are almost the size of the plate. Unless you have one heck of an appetite or multiple stomachs, it's nearly impossible to make to a second plate. My boyfriend ordered a side of hash browns with his pancakes. We shared them and I thought they were decent. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely edible. Overall, I'd come back here and try the other things on their menu.

That fried chicken took us all the way back. We're old school, and that's exactly how fried chicken is supposed to taste--perfectly seasoned, incredibly flavorful, juicy on the inside, and fried to a golden, crispy crunch. It was absolutely phenomenal. The waffles were just as impressive--light, flavorful, and cooked to perfection with an amazing texture. Every bite was on point. The experience was so good that I knew I had to bring my husband back because he's a huge chicken and waffles fan. It was his first time there, and without fail, he had the exact same reaction. From the first bite, he was sold. He absolutely loved it. When a restaurant delivers that kind of quality to an entire group and then exceeds expectations again on a return visit, you know it's the real deal. From the food to the service, it was an easy 5-star experience. We'll definitely be back!

Easy to find right off Krile Rd. at the rt. 44 exist off rt.90. Giant parking lot with room for everybody. Good sized, bright yellow building is nice and cheery. It was a little odd when we entered and found portable A/C units all around the dining room... I'm guessing they're having a problem with the main system. We were promptly seated and a nice woman (Katrina) greeted us right away to take our beverage order. It didn't take long to realize the honky-tonk music was playing WAY too loud... especially for breakfast. But she returned shortly and took our food order. The menu is extensive with something for everyone. We both chose the Avocado Eggs Benedict with fresh fruit. It showed up quickly and looked great. The fruit was very fresh. The Benedict tasted good but could have been a bit hotter. We did enjoy our meal though. We finished with a good cup of coffee and received a bill for $42. All in all it was a good experience.
