I came in with my family and tried their new dish for crabfeast, the shell were filled with some cheese tasting mush, the stake was chewy and disgusting; the brocoli overcooked; I couldn't eat it to be honest; the other dishes my family ordered were fine; I am their app user, and the only thing kept me coming and spend lots of money at this restaurant was their rewards, I was really exiceted about getting a free apetizer of my choice after every $125 spent there( I would ussually use it for a lobster pizza), now they changed it and you only get a free add on item,a mediocre dessert or their coconut shrimp which I don't like neither; SERIOUSLY RED LOBSTER, we don't deserve a free choice of appetizer after spending 125 bucks in your overrated restaurant? It was Grandma's birthday and she wanted seafood. Ok, so I wanted what was on that tantalizing Red Lobster commercial, but I was able to talk her into it. So, I guess you can say it was all my fault. For a party of 10 on a Saturday night, we decided to head out early because, that's right, no reservations at this seafood chain o' restaurants. By 5:30, the wait was already an hour long, so we got plenty of face to face time with the lobsters in the tank in the lobby. It's a shame that one of them ended up on my plate. The atmosphere is anything but grand and the wait is unbelievable. I guess I'm just a sucker for that all you can eat shrimp, the woodfire grilled seafood and of course the Bahama Mama drink. We had a great time. Four stars for the food, one star for the wait, three stars for the wait staff, four stars for the drinks. Ok, so we average a 3? What a fancy place! I can't believe I got the opportunity to go here! My husband's mom gave us a gift card to Red Lobster for Christmas! WOW!! We live in Portland, so we're always looking for a decent place to eat. Our waiter was really fancy. His uniform was so crisp and clean. We moved to a new table because we were right by a vent and it was super chilly, and he couldn't find us for a while, and you know what? We kind of missed him. I was so looking forward to Red Lobster, and I finally convinced the boyfriend to drive me out to Gresham to try it out. It also helped that we had a gift card. 6pm on a Friday night and this place was packed. Seemed like everyone in Gresham wanted some lobster leavin's, so we passed the 40 minute wait to sit at the bar. It was like no one had thought of this and they were sooo jealous. Here is the problem, when you sit at the bar during rush hour, every want that wants a drink NOW, comes to the bar to drink while waiting on their table. That means that all those Greshamites are hovering over my Admirals Feast ($26.99) which came with a grilled lobster tail, breaded shrimp, snow crab leg cluster, baked shrimp in butter, baked potato, salad and rolls (whew!). So while I am trying to find the most lady like way to rip into some snow crab legs, some huge guy with a gallon hat and belt buckle is or ding a third round of Budweiser's (and a strawberry daiquiri for the lady) is giving you the hairy eyeball and I can't help but think I either have crab in my hair (my boyfriend confirmed I did) or everyone was just super jealous. (Boyfriend assures me it's the crab on my face). So he had the fish and chips and I am thinking you don't come to Red Lobster for fried fish, you get yourself some crab or lobster. Then I remember that I don't really care for lobster. It taste rubbery and flavorless. And Snow crab is kind of the trash of the crab family, and where the hell are the dungeonness? I want dungeonnes!! The rolls were 150 calories each and everyone raves about them but we took them home in a to go box then through them out the next day. On my way out, another group of young men in cowboys boots, bucklkes and hats held the door open for me, and called me maam, and made no mention of the crab situation. Everyone comes down from the mountain for a nice dinner on Friday and I can see why they would, but I have been let down and this Disney castle has cracks in it. read more

We came in tonight for only my second time ever in a red lobster, and i was so happy yo see the same server i had last time! I beleive his name is Ryan. Ryan, if you're ever looking for another job, please visit us up the mountain and i will tell my chef to steal you right then and there! The salad was made as cheaply as possible with iceberg lettuce, a few croutons & a few average grilled shrimp - pretty disappointing. The lobster bisque tasted like it was made with cheese wiz! Menu was not vast.Service was below standard. The traditional biscuits appeared lacking routine ingredients. My appetizer was burned and I had to return it. We were sat near a very loud group which made for a hard time hearing, there was only two of us and the waitress attitude was cold and abrupt. We had to wait for long periods of time for her to check back with us. It's a chain place. You're going to find the same items on the menu wherever you go. I was surprised that for a weekend there was almost literally nobody there, when we walked in even the staff wasn't to be found and we waited in the front lobby for a few moments before even being greeted. We were seated, given menus and told our server would be with us shortly he came over quickly and took our drink and appetizer order and brought both back in a timely manner-at which point we ordered our main dinner selection. I chose the all you can eat shrimp special they are currently running (which is really a great value) but I was highly disappointed that part of my meal had a sticker cooked in it, a simple mistake but still annoying. I noticed the sticker in my food almost right after our sever walked away but was not able to get his or anybody else's attention to try and have it corrected for nearly 10 minutes. When I was finally able to get somebody to our table all I got was a "oh ok, well it's endless shrimp so we will just bring another one". Seriously, no apology or anything? After the sticker dish was taken away and a sticker free one brought out our server disappeared again, till just before bringing our bill. I ordered take out last night through their website and was happy to see that there was a family meal deal for the entree that my husband and I both wanted! When it asks you for any requests, I put "extra Alfredo sauce please" and to my surprise, they actually included it with our order! Its not always a common thing to see an Elite member from Yelp make an exemplary review of a chain restaurant but I wanted to take a moment and tell you how impressed I was with the service here at the Gresham Red Lobster. I will admit I got suckered into the all you can eat shrimp commercial I saw the night before and I couldn't stop thinking about at least giving it a try. My girlfriend says that she's had it before and said that it wasn't too bad so I thought WTH?!?!? We came down here on a Thursday evening and there was quite a few people here. The wait ended up being close to a half hour but I'm sure with this place is probably just busy to begin with. We finally get seated and our server Cate was very friendly and expedited our order fairly quickly. We both ordered the all you can eat shrimp. There were four options available which is Shrimp Alfredo, Soy Wasabi Shrimp over rice pilaf, Shrimp Scampi, and fried shrimp. What you don't know if you ask nicely they also have coconut shrimp bites as an option as well so something to think about! We got our order and almost immediately our food came out rather quickly for how busy the restaurant was. Before even beginning our first bite our server was already asking to see what our next order was. I was completely surprised by this so I went ahead and ordered our next options for shrimp. Her timing was perfect cause by the time we were done with our food our next order arrived just in time. My girlfriend originally ordered the soy wasabi shrimp without the rice pilaf so when I got my next order of it, it didn't have any rice either. I put that to Cate's attention and once again almost immediately we get another order of soy wasabi shrimp with rice pilaf. We were inundated with plates of shrimp at our table and with the help of Cate I was completely stuffed! I really enjoyed the fact that she was so willing to help out. I've noticed in the past with most chain restaurants if you order the current promotion that's out such as an all you can eat option most servers are usually put off and really don't go out of your way to help you. Cate definitely was not that server and I want to give her recognition of her wonderful service. As for the food, I will say it wasn't bad but wasn't really spectacular either. It was nice to try something new and I will always say that their cheddar biscuits are amazing here! Is it weird to say I come all the way from downtown Portland to eat at this Red Lobster? That's right. I live among many elegant seafood joints - Jake's Crawfish, Ringside Fish House, Dan and Louis Oyster Bar, Parish, The Fish Grotto. But oddly enough, we tend to stick with having our fancy seafood nights out here. Why? Because of the consistency. All the places downtown are very expensive, and aside from Jake's, most of them are hit or miss. Jake's is pretty good but very expensive. Red Lobster, with it's frequent seasonal specials, its various coupons, and its free cheesy biscuits, runs a cheaper bill for a better meal on average. Its location is not romantic or trendy, but its servers are cheery, and the food is great for the price. Literally the only deterrent for us is the travel distance, and even then it's not so bad. We once even took the Max out here just to eat some decent seafood. The last time we came, they seated us immediately. Sometimes this place gets filled up because there is often a wait. Now what tells you something is good? When there is a waiting area packed full of excited clientele, and none of them are complaining about the wait. I really recommend coming down and getting whatever there special is. If it's lobster or crab legs or shrimp - do it. Endless shrimp has never failed me. I've never gotten a wilty salad or a flavourless baked potato here. Everything tastes great and is seasoned consistently. The lobster here comes out great every time. I've had soapy-tasting, over-frozen lobsters elsewhere but not here. And really nothing beats the cheesy biscuits. I have tried for years but never mastered recreating the perfect Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit. And you know what? Order as many as you like. Even if you don't finish them, they'll bring you a little bag complete with reheating instructions to go. read more

The restrooms were not very clean Got dinner- the main issue was the salad. Lettuce is cheap, so the crap they serve with $30 plates is pretty pathetic. Server was friendly. Restaurant is just dirty. The blurry picture is the table across from me- there were food scraps on the ground. Doesn't look like a lot, but my camera didn't pick up everything. I've never eaten at a Red Lobster until Friday night, and in spite of having great ambiance and wonderful service, the food was awful. The calamari appetizer I ordered was soggy and under cooked, the onion rings were paper thin and also under cooked. I ordered from the Lobster Fest Menu and was disappointed with the overall quality and presentation of my meal. It was very spartan looking, 2 sides of lobster tail with a scoop of mashed potatoes and some shrimp lobster pasta placed in the middle. It wasn't that the food was terrible, it just wasn't $70.00 good. They also have great margaritas and their strawberry mojito is delicious even though I love getting the Virgin version it's more fruity and sweet in my opinion. I have been here a few times Last time I was here I ordered surf and turf and chose to go with new york steak instead of sirloin. They made a mistake and served me sirloin instead and it was more on rare side when i asked for medium rare. I'm not that strict of a customer so I was okay with it but I still asked the waiter so he could adjust my bill to sirloin. a few mins later the manager came to appologize and he said "we will do something really nice for you." When I asked for my bill, the waiter brought me a FREE new york steak to bring home, my bill was also changed to reg sirloin steak, AND they took $20 off of my bill. This was our first time coming to a red lobster. We have 2 kids ages 3 & 6 and this location is very kid friendly. My 6yo is very picky and when I asked about the macaroni and cheese our waiter quickly knew what I was getting at and replied "it's Kraft!" Which is what I love in a restaurant because my husband and I got the wonderful seafood we were looking for while our kids were very content with their Kraft macaroni. Came here for lobster fest. Most of us for the lobster lovers dream. The twin lobster tail is so yummy! Their drinks aren't super strong. Their pasta alfredo dishes are all yummy. I can't remember what the appetizer was called so I'll call it lobster nacho dip...really good! One of the waitresses was less than friendly, but not to the point of us saying anything. My friends dad asked if they had wifi and she said, "no. You need to talk to your family. " Truuue...but rude to say to the guy paying. Overall, I enjoy this location. read more

Oh Red Lobster, how you never fail to disappoint. I am thrilled to say that this chain has always been very consistent for me. It appears this location always has a wait based on other reviews and my own experience, but it wasn't bad and the food was worth it. All you can eat cheddar bay biscuits...... I enjoyed my lobster, scallops, and shrimp dish and my honey liked his steak and shrimp (though part of his steak was undercooked). All of the courses were served in an appropriate order and the timing was spot on. I was really pleased with our waiter who had a great speaking voice and a very caring demeanor. I had such a craving for a variety of seafood's, and in Portland it's hard to affordable to satisfy that craving. Definitely worth the drive to get reliably good food. read more

I woke up at 1 am with hot flashes that led to liquid fire coming out of my anus coinciding with a vomiting episode.
