If you are looking for a fine dining experience, this is not the place! Upon walking in, the smell of the cloudy and dirty lobster tank was incredibly overwhelming! The tables are out dated and had white glass rings stains on them. The silverware is cheap, along with the thin paper napkins they are wrapped in. The food ok at best. Do NOT order the Bloody Mary! The Bloody Mary comes with tomato juice (add your own pepper from the table) a small amount or rail vodka, a green olive and a lemon wedge, oh along with two hamburger slice pickles in a condiment cup; a beer snit is not coming so don't ask. The location is great, our waitress was attentive and did a good job. Duluth is a great town with some really great restaurants, but NOT (big chain) Red Lobster! If you want to spend your money and are looking for a good meal and a great dining experience, support local restaurants; you will find entrepreneurs that care, you will get way better food and a lot more for your buck!! read more

Wish I could zero stars. Our server was treating a bigger table next to us very differently than he was treating us, clearly for the tips. The lobster was rubbery and chewy, took forever to get drink refills, the cheesecake was frozen, and shrimp scampi tasted like shit. The restaurant has undergone some changes since first opening. Prices have gone up a bit. That shouldn't have surprised me. The biscuits were great as always. We had a large group. 12 people two with birthdays so we brought cake. The food was good all seemed to enjoy their meals. Wide range of choices were made. Drinks were served quickly and refilled. Food was hot and tasty. Ate my fill and had left overs for next night. We all had cake and a few had a cupcake since they didn't like carrot cake. All around a great time had by all. It was a Sunday night, and we went to Red Lobster for a birthday dinner! We were greeted immediately by a smiling face. There was a less than 5 minute wait and while we waited we were allowed to look at a menu and decide what we wanted to eat. We were excited to try the crab feast...crab shell was like rubbery..couldn't crack it. Not my favorite place. Had an early dinner but was seated in a back corner near the kitchen. Lots of empty tables near windows or away from the noise, so why seat us at the worst table. There was a smell, that quite frankly, smelled of urine. I am guessing the carpet had not been cleaned in a while. Husband wanted fresh oysters but they were out. Lobster bisque was thick and tasted more like cheese soup. Ordered the endless shrimp and asked for another serving but it took 20 minutes. The bisque came after the entrees. We called ahead to be put on the list and we ended.up only waiting maybe 10 mintues. They were packed. We had a long ticket time do to this but our waitress was wonderful she kept the drinks coming the salads and biscuits were there very promptly. We honestly didn't realize it was a long wait. Rather disappointed overall. The wait was short, our waitress, Christina was pretty nice, but the food? Awful. My sweetie and I had the endless shrimp. Waited a while for our food, wasn't really given any sort if update as to how long it was going to be. When it arrived, the food was lukewarm, at best. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted like dish soap and that they had come out of a box. The parmesan peppercorn shrimp was soggy, and the shrimp scampi was off. We have been coming here for years and gradually the quality of food has declined. Prices have increased and amount and quality decreased. Today my salmon New Orleans had no pico de gailo, the sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts were so raw I could hardly chew them. Sad. The service is good but we probably won't be coming back. Dropped in to celebrate our anniversary the other night after a movie. We came very late and asked first if they were still seating for dinner. They were very nice and said it was not a problem. Only one other table had a party of three. Talk about your personal service! Server was very nice and brought us extra buns. YUM! She even brought us a small free brownie for our celebration. Hadn't eaten here for awhile and was anxious to get back! Caesar salad which we loved seemed to be missing something. Seasoning? Biscuits, which are always devoured, seemed to be lacking. Garlic? The bartenders were great! The food was hot and seafoody, as it should have been. The manager looked decadent in her black chefs coat and I wanted to dip her in scampi butter. Can we please talk about their biscuits? When you can get a hot, buttery, gluten filled bite of delectableness in your mouth, life is complete. My Valentine ordered the Admirals Feast and I suspect she will be feasting on the amount of calories she ate over the evening. Don't get me wrong, dipping delicious fried shrimp in drawn butter is fine, but she has minor heart issues. Me and my boyfriend were looking for a not too fancy but kinda fancy restaurant to eat lunch at. So driving through Duluth we see a red lobster in a central location of Duluth. Upon walking in we were asked to give our phone number and wait outside to be seated (due to the corona virus which isn't a complaint). Upon being seated one could see the tables were scratched and had not been cleaned properly as there were still crumbs. After having been brought our drinks and biscuits we were taking our time ordering and our waitress was giving us options on the menu, if we didn't want seafood etc etc. after ordering the 7oz sirloin steak cooked medium with a side of ceaser salad and fries. We were brought the ceaser salad first but they didn't have silverware on the table upon arriving so we had to wait a few minutes. And the salad was quite salty. Then we got our steaks, my boyfriends was alright, but mine was quite undercooked for being a medium and had a weird spongy texture. And the fries were dry. We complained and we were able to get my meal for free. That and the biscuits and the iced tea were the only bonuses of this outing. Also the service was shit. Would I go there again? Probably not. But if I did, I hope they screw up my food so I can get it for free. read more

Love the promotions and even with the price going up! $17 at least, the endless shrimp for the six dozen shrimp I ate were served hot with bubbly cheese and butter and coconut coated with pineapple sauce on the side! Very, very delicious and a yearly favorite of mine! Look forward to it every time it comes around and can eat lots! Topped it off with a humongous slice of key lime pie! Ate at Red Lobster on 6/20/15 with a group of people at 3:00 in the afternoon. Had trouble getting menus for our party of ten. Waitress apologized and said they were short staffed and had big groups so there may be delays in service. No tacos could be ordered, waited for drinks, they were out of some other item. Tried eating here one last time. The last two times service was mediocre to poor but we wanted to try again because we like seafood. We arrived at 4:30 on a week day expecting prompt service. We were told it would be a five min wait "to prepare a table " for our party of six. Meanwhile 3 groups of older childless couples were seated immediately while we waited with our four children! Clearly they would rather not wait on families! Xander even grabbed kids menues and walked around the restaurant with them pretending to do something. They seemed to be short staffed. When a forth couple came in and would have been seated immediately had they not requested a window seat we left! We would have preferred the manager be honest and say they were short staffed and needed to figure out how to accomadate us. The restaurant was nearly empty and there were tables prepared for four and six people. We will not be returning and recommend you don't take your family there either! read more
