Even though we arrived 30 minutes before closing - the staff couldn't have been more gracious. Albert, I think was the name of the young man who seated us - he was gregarious and our server, Natalie was outstanding! Very personable and professional. Our food was delicious and arrived in what seemed no time at all. The accommodation to alter the "hot" or "spicy" on the menu was greatly appreciated. The restaurant is clean, as were the bathrooms. Local art hangs for sale throughout the facility - a beautiful way to highlight their work. Would definitely recommend.
Always an amazing experience to eat here. It was my birthday so I wanted to eat there. I went hiking in the morning at Congdon trail in the light rain and saw all the beautiful colors. Ordered eggs Benedict w the thick ham and a side of delicious Korean brussel sprouts. Sitting at the bar was so fun and we had great service from the bar tender. Hot tip: Call ahead or use website to put your name on the list.
We had the white fish eggs Benedict with the berry brunch salad and the barbacoa tacos with the kale salad. We also had a strawberry matcha which was delicious! The white fish eggs Benedict was good but would be perfect if the fish was not smoked. The strong smokey flavor overpowered the hollandaise, I think a simple breaded white fish would make this dish delicious. The berry brunch salad was my favorite part of this meal. It was delicious. There is a generous portion of mixed berries, goat cheese and granola over arugula and pickled onion. The green dressing that comes on the side is perfect. I would get this every time! The kale salad was great and a good size portion, however the yellow sauce on the side was not my favorite. The kale was good without it as it already had a dressing on it. The barbacoa tacos were good but pretty salty. There is plenty of seating inside however it is super popular so we had to wait about an hour to be seated. You can join the waitlist online and it takes you to a website where you can check you place in line. We started at 47th in line and after an hour got to 1st. The service was great, they kept our waters full and checked in on us frequently. The people working seemed happy to be there and made you feel welcome. We would come back!
We had a wonderful breakfast at this establishment and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. On Sundays, the wait time was roughly an hour to get a table as the other popular breakfast spots are closed so definitely be warned, but they do have an online waitlist that you can begin to get on and lots of outdoor seating area for waiting, which was really pretty with the garden. There was plenty of indoor seating tables booths, and a patio for outside. Be careful of the bees, though there was plenty of parking in the parking lot, but it is difficult to navigate as it is a one-way we had eggs, Benedict banana bread, pancakes, and a hash brown dish. Super delicious. Could not recommend it more and we had cinnamon rolls as our sides as well, which were included with some of the breakfasts which is a plus.
Duluth Grill is good food and great service. Bryan was our server. He was very friendly and even told us a little about the Lincoln Park neighborhood when my husband explained that we were visiting from out of town and trying to learn about the different areas of Duluth. It was pretty busy at the time, so it really was above and beyond for him to take the extra time to chat. I had a hard time choosing my food because everything on the menu sounded so good. I settled on the banana bread pancakes and that bourbon maple walnut syrup was PHENOMENAL!!! I had dessert for breakfast (shhh don't tell my mom). I also had a delicious maple oatmilk latte. My husband had the drip coffee and the farmer's feast. It was so much food and he ate every bit of it. We would happily eat here again!
We love the Duluth Grill. I still miss the old, bigger menu. My husband always orders a more traditional breakfast and he really liked it. Today I went for the Blueberry Yum Yum which is a chicken sandwich with blueberry compote and jalapenos. They make their own compote and are almost out so hurry while you can to try this item. Very good and very messy but the combo worked surprisingly well. Don't miss the hashbrowns as they are truly excellent. And the Local tea is always a favorite with honey and lemon. Free parking. Cynthia S. did a great job serving us today.
Absolutely solid place to get brunch. I'm a recent convert having only eaten here a few times but each of them has always satiated. Unique dishes, excellent quality, great service, and sit at the bar to watch this fine-tuned machine at work. Best pancakes I've had, which must be cornbread, but huge and delicious with every bite.
Fresh, locally sourced and delicious menu options, fast and hospitable service! We were worried that the wait time would be long but it was just long enough to enjoy the outdoor garden boxes and sun. Even though we are visiting Duluth during this crazy time of the wild fires, Duluth Grill made our trip worth it! They have a streamlined process for getting seated, the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and local area. My family ordered the usual staples: biscuits and gravy, pancakes and sausage, and bacon/eggs/sausage. All were hearty portions and perfectly prepped. I tried the "Triple B" which turns out to be a Midwest version of Bibimbop. Made with manoomin (wild rice), beef/pork mix, kimchi, marinated kale- probably my fave of the dish. The combo is a deliciously perfect power meal to start any day and weekend right! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the care they take in procuring local ingredients- even their kale and some herbs are from their own lil garden. I highly recommend the Duluth Grill, there's something for everyone! We will definitely stop by on our next trip out to Duluth.
Absolutely incredible experience. Every person who works here was so welcoming and kind. Our server (Thursday 12/18 8:30-ish) was a delight. What a great human. Food was delicious and drinks were next level. I cannot wait to return when I am back in Duluth. Cheers! Please support this local gem!
Best food in Duluth!! Came here on a day trip to Duluth, met some family and we all left very satisfied. I had the bison smashed burger and it was amazing!! So much flavor and very unique. I got smashed potatoes for my side and it was the perfect flavor with a little crunch. I would stop here 10/10 times. Call a half hour ahead and get your name on the list, they get really busy but it's worth it!!
Hands down the BEST !! Staff, Food and overall restaurant perfect! Can't wait to visit again the drinks were equally great !
Excellent service with waitress explaining some of their top selling breakfast items.. Barbacoa Hash skillet was tasty and just the right portion. My partner's banana bread pancakes and sausage side was superb.. pancakes were filling and would be happy with a half order or just share the whole plate. Interior was appointed with local artist's craft work of a variety of mediums ... amazing local talent and items priced from within budget to an investment, all well worth it.

When your server responds to "How are you?" with a "Too blessed to be stressed" positive attitude, you know you will have excellent service. The portions are massive, and the hollandaise sauce reminded me exactly of the old Sunny Side Up that is missed so much from Uptown in Mpls... The food was excellent - the service was top notch - hands down HIGHLY recommended! read more
LARGE portions beware! Super friendly staff and they all help each other with the service so there is very little waiting. We sat at the counter and it was clean and wiped down quickly after each person left. Many food choices and we were told the menu was recently updated so they keep things new. Worth a visit! read more

I'm not from the area and people told me to go check this place out. I had high hopes. Just like everything else in the world, the prices they were charging were ridiculous. Every meal is $15+ and the food was okay. I have been to better breakfast places. The locals literally told me this was the best place to go. My expectations were high. I rarely eat out and I decided to treat myself. I got the Farmers Feast. It comes with two eggs, side of meat and two sides. I'm surprised they didn't offer fresh fruit. They had parfaits but that sounded very sweet for the AM. The food portions are HUGE. My meal for one could feed 2-3 people. The pancake was okay- not what I was expecting but it looks like they actually do make it at the restaurant. The reason I don't eat out is because everything is expensive and the food quality isn't good. I want to feel good with the food I eat. This meal I got was way too much for one person. It's just contributing to the obesity problem we have in the United States. To each their own, but I won't be eating there again. If you're going for the vibes and to hang out with people, I can see why it would be fun. The coffee was alright but I didn't finish it. The cinnamon roll was pretty good though. read more
My friend and I literally walked in here not expecting anything or knowing anything about this place, but that it was quite literally right across from our Motel 6. We walked into a busy/bustling restaurant, but got seated right away to our bar seating. We were greeted by our friendly server. Most of the employees here seemed fairly young (in their college years), but very efficient in their designated tasks. I decided to order FARMERS FEAST (which comes with egg, breakfast meat & 2 sides). I personally chose sausage with the sides cheesy jalapeno grits and french toast. Let me start by saying, this is quite a filling breakfast option! In my opinion, it's honestly a hungry mans meal and literally a feast. I personally couldn't finished everything and had to pack the french toast to go. Everything in this breakfast offering tasted great. The jalapeno grits was a more spicier than I expected (and I love spicy), but great nonetheless. The french toast bread was very soft and even when I ate it much later, I still enjoyed it. Overall, the food here is great. The service is great. Everyone is really all so nice. I can see why it's busy inside. Opposite to what I originally thought this place would be, it turned out to be a better experience. I would recommend this spot. read more

The Duluth Grill is the must eat restaurant in Duluth. Brunch is heavenly. My family loves it. Sautéed kale! In house made corned beef hash! Homemade hot cocoa! Cinnamon rolls. Vegetarian fare galore. The wait staff is top notch! Our waitress was straight out of a fairy tale. Thick northern accent and a true love of the food they were serving. If there's a waiting line, wait. It's worth it. read more
Based on Yelp reviews and comments, we decided to give this place a try for breakfast. The place was super busy late Monday AM when we arrived and also after we ate. Even so, there was a less than a 5-minute wait. This is a loud environment, but it wasn't distracting. The walls are covered with all sorts of interesting and different art pieces. Very cool. Our food arrived in a timely fashion, was hot and flavorful. I will give a heads up that the Mediterranean Omelet is very rich, but delicious. The hash browns side is huge. The Griddle platter arrived exactly as ordered with eggs over very hard. Another note, there are quite a few Gluten-Free options (I don't have Celiacs, but a friend does and has trouble finding restaurants with options). I definitely recommend! read more

Barbacoa hash was great, the pickled onions really add a nice touch. The restaurant was busy and everyone was hustling to take care of customers. Something I really appreciated is that I observed them using one color towel for cleaning the booths and another color to clean the table tops. It's a huge pet peeve of mine to see the same towel used to clean my table top as by seat, so gross. read more
Duluth Grill is a true standout, fresh, organic, locally sourced ingredients and a menu full of creative, flavorful options. The ube latte was amazing, huge in size, rich in flavor, and worth the price. Cocktails are just as impressive; the "Espress Yoself" espresso martini was balanced, smooth, and easily one of the best I've had. Food here is phenomenal with plenty of sides to mix and match. The C.U. Tamago sandwich with smoked pork belly, egg soufflé, garlic aioli, and hashbrown patty was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The Cinny Roll French Toast was another standout, honey butter, powdered sugar, and maple syrup over a cinnamon roll turned into French toast perfection. The Farmer's Feast is a classic, done well, and comes with generous sides like their massive cinnamon roll and hashbrowns. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful, adding to an already great experience. Lovely diner style vibe with a nice outdoor set up. Duluth Grill is absolutely worth the stop and wait times. They also have a website to join the wait before you go, highly recommended doing that during peak hours. read more
Once again, this place was amazing. Other restaurant owners need to take note on what this place is doing right. The service was amazing, Andrea G. was attentive, friendly and went out of her way to make sure that our breakfast experience was amazing. The ambiance/atmosphere was busy, but pleasant and not too noisy. The food, like always, was fresh, hot, and made to order. What I like about this place is that it focuses on quality, and not quantity. Their menu has enough items to offer variety, but not too many different choices to make it overwhelming. When you are in Duluth to have to try this place. It will not disappoint and it would be a crime if you didn't. read more
Food (4/5) | Ambiance (5/5) | Service (5/5) Food was solid, though not quite outstanding--but everything else about this place made it a 5-star experience. The outdoor patio was absolutely enchanting, with gorgeous flowers everywhere that made it feel like a hidden garden. The restaurant was packed, yet we were seated immediately. And even if we had to wait, the Adirondack chairs just outside the entrance would have made it a relaxing start to the meal. I ordered the Everything Skillet (4/5) and would definitely get it again. I also tried a caramel roll--delicious, but so massive and filling that it kept me from finishing the rest of my meal. Between the cozy vibe, welcoming service, and beautiful setting, this spot is an absolute gem. read more

To the point: excellent Driving thru the city, looking for a good place for breakfast for 6... perfect stop. Food menu is crazy good original, many unique choices and all were excellent ..! Can't say enough good about this place,,, have to wait a bit during busy hrs, but WELL worth the wait..! Ambiance is casual, comfortable, friendly, and a special shout out to our friendliest server, Andrea, who went well above and beyond. She was enthusiastic, informative and a pleasure to meet and our group had a wonderful experience..!! A must go to...... it will not disappoint..!!! read more
Duluth grill was our first stop when we arrived to town and it was AMAZING. When we pulled up to the building, it looked a bit lack luster but as soon as we walked inside, the smells and quaint ambiance changed my mind. Our server was very helpful and even had the manager come over when we had questions about the drink menu. The Bloody Mary was amazing and I also enjoyed the Pineapple Express drink. The Bibimbap bowl was so flavorful and something different. The Medieval Gyros were a fun take on gyros with a full bone-in lamb shank. The meat was fall off the bone and super tender. We also split a caramel roll, which was so good. I loved everything about our experience and can't wait to go back again. read more

I've been wanting to visit the Duluth Grill since I saw this place on diners drive-ins and dives. I don't believe they take reservations which is unfortunate for such a busy place. We showed up on a Saturday morning for brunch around 10 and we were about 30th in line. The wait went pretty quickly and we were sat within 30 minutes. They have a large money with a lot of great options as well as fun, cocktails, and coffees. The service was immediately friendly and accommodating to order adjustments. This place is pretty spacious with a lot of booths and tables. They also have a decent sized parking lot that is attached there is also a lot of parking nearby. If you're attending on a Saturday or Sunday, I would highly recommend getting there early or having someone put your name in while you wait. read more

Absolutely love this place. The food was so delicious and tasty. Our waitress was the best and so friendly. Love the old style down to home vibes. I had a maple oat latte, The Bear which was red flannel hash with over easy eggs and a pancake chalked full of corn and bacon. Definitely worth the time to check it out, will be going back. read more
Wow! Dog friendly patio with beautiful plants, heaters, and umbrellas. Service was phenomenal (thank you Brian!!), food was fresh and everything tasted wonderfully- we enjoyed the cinnamon French toast, eggs, toast with strawberry peach homemade jam, lamb Benedict, and the everything skillet. The dogs enjoyed the sausage, eggs, and lamb as well. For drinks- the Dude was a fun take with cocoa puffs, the bloodys were Fullmetal, the cortadocane with toasted marshmallow and the apple cider mimosa was equally delicious! read more

We decided to dine in for brunch based on a friend's recommendation, and we are SO glad we did. There is a waitlist you can join online, so you can save some time by doing that before you arrive to the restaurant. There is ample seating indoors, and the interior is designed and decorated beautifully. I ordered the meat lover's omelet with a side of brussels sprouts, and both were very delicious. But, what was just as delicious (if not slightly more) was my partner's french toast - I'm telling you, you have to order a side of this. It absolutely hit the spot. And, the cinnamon rolls are gigantic... we saw a few of those floating around and debated ordering one for the table. Overall, our service was kind and friendly, and our tummies were happy. :) We will definitely return!! read more

Is breakfast served all day?
Yes Judy. We serve breakfast from 7am to 9pm. We are closed on Easter this year, otherwise we are open 7 days a week. Thanks
Is the corned beef hash out of a can?
Our corned beef is slow cooked brisket and trimmed lean. We mix it with hash brown potatoes, onion, and heavy cream. We Grill it to order. It's a one to one ratio of corned beef to potatoes. Thanks
