Popped into Burger Paradox right at the tail end of dinner rush and we got a fresh table. Our server (Taylor) was quick, knowledgeable, attentive, and gave great suggestions. We started off with KBBQ Spouts & Buffalo dill pickle fries and they both were excellent. After a bit of a wait our burgers and fries came out hot and ready to get smashed. We all ordered different burgers (Table of 4) and after the appetizers we knew we were in for a treat. All in Burger Paradox was stellar and I'm now I'm a food coma writing this review. Walked in with a small group of 3 of us on a busy Grandma's marathon weekend Saturday night and we were lucky enough to get seated at the bar pretty much right away. We were waited on by the bartender right away who gave great drink and food recommendations. Their entire menu is very unique from the cocktails to the apps to the various wings and burgers. Are you at a different cocktail and I had the orange shrimp which came with a popsicle in it which was incredible. It reminded me of the Flintstones push-ups from when I was a kid. We split the deal cheese cards and we all got a different burger to try so we could share. They smash style burgers and we really enjoyed them all (paul b'onion, wompling, whata Gouda). They also have four of their own house made sauces which were all incredible. The fries and Brussels on the side were also all delicious. The interior decor and painting murals on the wall are all super unique as well as the lights in the ceiling give a very cool vibe to the place. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a burger or even a fun drink! read more

My wonderful woman and I had lunch here over Memorial Day weekend, we had the blueberry wings and I had a smash burger called "Nonna Smash" and both were absolutely delicious. I loved the beautiful art designed outside the restaurant. Our server was on point the entire time, refilling our drinks and ensuring everything was to our satisfaction. It's been a year and they have improved their menu! Dilly dilly cheese curds. Cubes of deliciousness. Their orange table sauce makes it taste like a big Mac pizza roll. It's kindof crazy ! My husband and I enjoy trying new things every time we visit Duluth and this was definitely one of our tastiest options! I love the decor and ambience of the restaurant. They are located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth which is really becoming one of our favorite spots to check out. We tried Deep-fried Korean Brussels Sprouts, Beef-fat Fries and The Armadillo Bomb burger. The Brussels were sooooooo good! The fries were hot and crispy and I loved the flavor profile of the burger. We went later at night on a weeknight so it wasn't too busy and our food came out super fast and fresh! I wish I had more room to try one of their chicken sandwiches. We started with the corn ribs, which were way better than I expected. Honestly wasn't sure what to imagine, but they were awesome -- definitely worth trying. I ordered the OG burger, which had great flavor and a fresh bun that held up nicely. Totally on me, but I should've asked for light mustard -- just a bit strong for my taste. Fries were spot on too. My wife ordered the Gochujang Wings and said, "Top 2 wings I've ever had. The combo of both sauces was . Perfectly crispy with a great crunch -- even good cold as leftovers!" I had the Paul B'Onion which was a smash burger with top the tator dip, potato chips, and pickled red onions. I'd say my only feedback is less top the tator - keep it on the top or bottom. We finally made it to Burger Paradox! Worth the wait! OMG the burger just melts in your mouth! The fri sauces were fun to play around with. The sprouts were AMAZING! Man I can't stop thinking about our meal! I had the McDowell, very very good! Hubby had the Armadillo with fris. Ben was the bartender and also our server, quick and friendly great service! We stopped at Burger Paradox after a long day of work and traveling to Duluth for a mini-vacation. We tried the KBBQ Sprouts and Korean Fried Wings (Gochujang, Garlic Buffalo, and Mango Habanero). Wings are big, and we had leftovers of each. The sprouts and gochujang wings were my favorite, but they were ALL good! Staff are great and super friendly, and the ambiance was really chill. I would probably give the food here a 4 or 5 stars. But service gets 2 stars. It was a busy Friday night but we were able to be seated pretty quickly. Server took our order and a bit later our apps came out. We had the mustard chicken wings, which were unique and very tasty. The beef fat frying added incredible flavor. I believe we were maybe supposed to get blue cheese with them, but none was brought. We also had the peruvian cauliflower which was AMAZING but the serving size for $12 left a lot to be desired. Sad because I could have eaten my weight in this. Here's where things went down hill. We sat a long, long time waiting for our burgers (Paul B'Onion for me which was good, a french dip for him which was meh). We watched tables after ours getting their food. Our server came over and wanted us to pay....but we still hadn't gotten our food. She went back to the kitchen and came back with a small plate of fries (which were delicious - especially with the sauces on the table!) and explained that something went wrong and our food would be out shortly. It came and everything was good.... UNTIL. She brought the payment thing over to pay (didn't give us a bill) and we paid + tip + 5% fee (for the kitchen?) A bit of head math and we realized it was super expensive. Checked the email bill and we were charged twice for both our sandwiches. Call the server over and try to get it straightened out. She came back and said the manager had taken the double charges off BUT - she still received a tip on the full bill AND the extra bit of 5% charge. It probably came out to less than $10, but just felt really shady and not how it should have been done (especially since the service wasn't great and she certainly didn't deserve the extra tip!) Placed an order to go, it was ready about 10 minutes before we made it there so I got the Paul b'onion and picked the chips off and ate those immediately because they were already a bit soggy. Overall the burger was fantastic, even later as leftovers. The Brussel sprouts.... I cannot emphasize this ENOUGH. Get them. You will be sad when they are gone and you DEFINITELY do not want to share... I would go back here every time I stop in Duluth just for the brussel sprouts. Also tried the dragons blood wings, they were good, quite spicy and I also believe they have removed these from their menu, we just got the last of the sauce they had for them :D read more

What a fun spot to eat. There's lots of graffiti and art on the walls. Purple drip lights over the bar. We had excellent service on a later Friday night dinner. We loved all of the vegetarian options! Started with the dill cheese curds and the corn ribs were my favorite! That chimichurri sauce is excellent. They need to bottle it as well. The other fun sauces they had were a spicy one, a fresh cilantro one, a fry sauce, plus a malt vinegar dill sauce which I really enjoyed! I kept with the appetizer theme and chose the blueberry barbecue wings. The sauce was sweet with just a hint of blueberry. The only part I didn't expect was they were a breaded wing which are not my favorite. My dinner companions had a veggie burger with cheese and the cauliflower wings which were both excellent! My son had the top the tater burger with potato chips on it which was excellent! He chose the brussel sprouts as his side with a soy sauce topping. I was a bit disappointed in the sprouts because they were left whole and didnt seem cooked all the way. I was hoping for smaller pieces with more crunchy bits. On a camping/hiking trip to the state parks south of Duluth my wife and I ventured a little more North for lunch and a cocktail as a reward for the hike. He was super friendly and excited for us for our fall foliage hikes and our Vikre cocktail after lunch. Sides were excellent. 17.5$ for most burgers with one side. Had the Galaxy burger & added a third patty for $3. Total weight of all 3 patties probably did not exceed 1/2 lb. Burger was good, not exceptional. Fries are touted. Frozen & not worth the effort. McDonalds drive-thru fries are 100% better. Disappointed in our dining experience here. We're in Duluth for an annual long weekend with friends and stopped in for lunch because of our experience a year ago. What luck - Ben was staffing the bar, just like a year ago. His service is flawless and his knowledge of the menu is super helpful! We both chose to order of the special Mardi Gras menu - the Muffuletta burger and Jambalaya were our choices. Both were amazing! I found the my burger was even better by adding some of the green and some of the hot sauce they make to it. That green sauce is addictive!
