Nostalgic visit for us; more than 40 years since the last time we were in the Duluth area. We enjoyed lunch-whitefish sandwich and chips/greens salad with pear, feta and salmon. Wine/beer. Very good service and tasty food with a nice view. Salad greens could have been smaller pieces rather than just out of the bag, and less of it, but overall it was very good.

Half order of onion rings

Great service, great ambiance and tasty food. The homemade onions ring were on point with the right amount of crispiness and doneness of the onions. Pricing was a little pricey for the ribeye. Not a lot of steak options. Our server was attentive as well as the bus staff. A great view out to the lake in the dining area. The kids spaghetti was a little too salty for my daughter to enjoy.

WOW ..... What an AMAZING Dinning Establishment! Chef Dustin and his Team provide a Wonderful 5 Dinning Experience! On top of the Excellent Service & Cusine.... the Ambiance is Beautifully Historic! Absolutely the Perfect Spot for a single or a large group! This is a MUST Visit!

Crowded but we squeezed in at the bar on a Friday night. The drinks were generously served and the bartender was attentive. The steak tips with mushrooms was excellent- I'd definitely order again and am still craving those mushrooms.

No idea how I didn't review last time I was here. Five stars +. Great atmosphere, love it. Great service and great food. My wife and I split a club sandwich and I said it was the best I've ever had but I don't get them often. My wife, who LOVES club sandwiches, said it was the best she's ever had. Yes, as some others have mentioned, it is a touch pricey but you're in Duluth and I imagine everything here is a touch expensive. This is the middle of nowhere (but a rather nice mid-sized city). I've been to Duluth twice and both times I've eaten here....'nuff said?

I came here for a late lunch. There was plenty of seating and parking. Parking is free btw. I was able to try the chicken noodle soup and the manhattan clam chowder. The soups were delicious and seasoned perfectly. The broiled trout was okay. I wish it more seasoning as it was on the bland side. I enjoyed the Gouda mash and the veggies on the side. The server we had was exceptional. The view of the lake is pretty as well. I enjoyed looking at the decor and the photos on the walls.

Stopped by Pickwick's while in town for work... All in all, solid experience, but not exceptional. The restaurant has an "old feel" (it could def use a facelift) and is presumably frequented by all the old Duluth $. The service was excellent (our server, Michelle, the lil brunette smoke show was awesome) and the food was good... Recommend the smoked whitefish appetizer and the walleye dinner; the whitefish was the best part of our meal and out of this world (some of the best smoked fish I've ever had) and the walleye was good, but a bit heavy and greasy for my liking... I went against my better judgement and got the fried walleye (which was supposed to be lightly fried, but it was not). I recommend getting the sautéed or broiled instead, if you don't want/like heavy food. Pickwick's was pricey, which was the biggest drawback... I have no problem paying for good food, but I don't know if the meal was worth $80 (for just me) for the quality food? You'll have to be the judge.

Passing through on a work trip and it was recommended I stop. Great food, classic decor, and courteous servers. Definitely a Duluth staple.

The service and ambiance was terrific, our hostess a d waitress were very good. I like the decoration and scenic view of the restaurant. I expected a better cut of meat on the steak. I they did an okay job on the preparation. The baked potato was dry, which I thought should have been better prepared.

Prime rib!

A legendary Duluth restaurant that really everyone should try. It is right on the lake with a beautiful view and the food is a fun meat/fish and potatoes vibe This is not a dress fancy and expect to spend a billion dollars. This feels like an old school steakhouse where you take the family to have prime ribs. I did have the prime rib which was great. The whitefish app was top notch and the fried walleye fingers were yum to start. Walleye come straight from the big lake right behind you! Service is on it. People are nice. If you are randomly in Duluth...you should put this on your list

Hotel bar with a "pub" and no table service. Not something we'd seek out, but decent last minute…read morefood for basically a bar. Drinks: Multiple local taps for $4-5; the taps were great. Overheard a couple of people be dissatisfied with their drink ($6.50 for quick pour on a White Russian). Had one cider in a tall boy from the twin cities for $7. Wife also had a flat cola. It was busy, in the setting of one bartender. She was nice. Doesn't really provide table service, moreso going to the bar to order and pick stuff up. There's a menu online. This was NOT what we saw when we showed up. They had a burger, fish and chips, pulled pork sliders, Caesar wrap, and appetizers. Based on the online menu and the outdoor patio, we were expecting more of a pub. Wisconsin cheese curds were okay.... didn't find much nostalgia from my Wisconsin childhood; some were more breading than cheese. The sauce with them were good though! Tater kegs better than expected. Chicken Caesar Wrap had some pretty dang tasty chips from whatever bag they came. The ratios were high in lettuce, less so of chicken and Parmesan
