Absolutely solid place to get brunch. I'm a recent convert having only eaten here a few times but each of them has always satiated. Unique dishes, excellent quality, great service, and sit at the bar to watch this fine-tuned machine at work. Best pancakes I've had, which must be cornbread, but huge and delicious with every bite.
Barbacoa hash was great, the pickled onions really add a nice touch. The restaurant was busy and everyone was hustling to take care of customers. Something I really appreciated is that I observed them using one color towel for cleaning the booths and another color to clean the table tops. It's a huge pet peeve of mine to see the same towel used to clean my table top as by seat, so gross.
Excellent service with waitress explaining some of their top selling breakfast items.. Barbacoa Hash skillet was tasty and just the right portion. My partner's banana bread pancakes and sausage side was superb.. pancakes were filling and would be happy with a half order or just share the whole plate. Interior was appointed with local artist's craft work of a variety of mediums ... amazing local talent and items priced from within budget to an investment, all well worth it.
Absolutely incredible experience. Every person who works here was so welcoming and kind. Our server (Thursday 12/18 8:30-ish) was a delight. What a great human. Food was delicious and drinks were next level. I cannot wait to return when I am back in Duluth. Cheers! Please support this local gem!
Best food in Duluth!! Came here on a day trip to Duluth, met some family and we all left very satisfied. I had the bison smashed burger and it was amazing!! So much flavor and very unique. I got smashed potatoes for my side and it was the perfect flavor with a little crunch. I would stop here 10/10 times. Call a half hour ahead and get your name on the list, they get really busy but it's worth it!!
I'm not from the area and people told me to go check this place out. I had high hopes. Just like everything else in the world, the prices they were charging were ridiculous. Every meal is $15+ and the food was okay. I have been to better breakfast places. The locals literally told me this was the best place to go. My expectations were high. I rarely eat out and I decided to treat myself. I got the Farmers Feast. It comes with two eggs, side of meat and two sides. I'm surprised they didn't offer fresh fruit. They had parfaits but that sounded very sweet for the AM. The food portions are HUGE. My meal for one could feed 2-3 people. The pancake was okay- not what I was expecting but it looks like they actually do make it at the restaurant. The reason I don't eat out is because everything is expensive and the food quality isn't good. I want to feel good with the food I eat. This meal I got was way too much for one person. It's just contributing to the obesity problem we have in the United States. To each their own, but I won't be eating there again. If you're going for the vibes and to hang out with people, I can see why it would be fun. The coffee was alright but I didn't finish it. The cinnamon roll was pretty good though.
Once again, this place was amazing. Other restaurant owners need to take note on what this place is doing right. The service was amazing, Andrea G. was attentive, friendly and went out of her way to make sure that our breakfast experience was amazing. The ambiance/atmosphere was busy, but pleasant and not too noisy. The food, like always, was fresh, hot, and made to order. What I like about this place is that it focuses on quality, and not quantity. Their menu has enough items to offer variety, but not too many different choices to make it overwhelming. When you are in Duluth to have to try this place. It will not disappoint and it would be a crime if you didn't.
My friend and I literally walked in here not expecting anything or knowing anything about this place, but that it was quite literally right across from our Motel 6. We walked into a busy/bustling restaurant, but got seated right away to our bar seating. We were greeted by our friendly server. Most of the employees here seemed fairly young (in their college years), but very efficient in their designated tasks. I decided to order FARMERS FEAST (which comes with egg, breakfast meat & 2 sides). I personally chose sausage with the sides cheesy jalapeno grits and french toast. Let me start by saying, this is quite a filling breakfast option! In my opinion, it's honestly a hungry mans meal and literally a feast. I personally couldn't finished everything and had to pack the french toast to go. Everything in this breakfast offering tasted great. The jalapeno grits was a more spicier than I expected (and I love spicy), but great nonetheless. The french toast bread was very soft and even when I ate it much later, I still enjoyed it. Overall, the food here is great. The service is great. Everyone is really all so nice. I can see why it's busy inside. Opposite to what I originally thought this place would be, it turned out to be a better experience. I would recommend this spot.
Based on Yelp reviews and comments, we decided to give this place a try for breakfast. The place was super busy late Monday AM when we arrived and also after we ate. Even so, there was a less than a 5-minute wait. This is a loud environment, but it wasn't distracting. The walls are covered with all sorts of interesting and different art pieces. Very cool. Our food arrived in a timely fashion, was hot and flavorful. I will give a heads up that the Mediterranean Omelet is very rich, but delicious. The hash browns side is huge. The Griddle platter arrived exactly as ordered with eggs over very hard. Another note, there are quite a few Gluten-Free options (I don't have Celiacs, but a friend does and has trouble finding restaurants with options). I definitely recommend!
Duluth Grill is a true standout, fresh, organic, locally sourced ingredients and a menu full of creative, flavorful options. The ube latte was amazing, huge in size, rich in flavor, and worth the price. Cocktails are just as impressive; the "Espress Yoself" espresso martini was balanced, smooth, and easily one of the best I've had. Food here is phenomenal with plenty of sides to mix and match. The C.U. Tamago sandwich with smoked pork belly, egg soufflé, garlic aioli, and hashbrown patty was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The Cinny Roll French Toast was another standout, honey butter, powdered sugar, and maple syrup over a cinnamon roll turned into French toast perfection. The Farmer's Feast is a classic, done well, and comes with generous sides like their massive cinnamon roll and hashbrowns. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful, adding to an already great experience. Lovely diner style vibe with a nice outdoor set up. Duluth Grill is absolutely worth the stop and wait times. They also have a website to join the wait before you go, highly recommended doing that during peak hours.
Food (4/5) | Ambiance (5/5) | Service (5/5) Food was solid, though not quite outstanding--but everything else about this place made it a 5-star experience. The outdoor patio was absolutely enchanting, with gorgeous flowers everywhere that made it feel like a hidden garden. The restaurant was packed, yet we were seated immediately. And even if we had to wait, the Adirondack chairs just outside the entrance would have made it a relaxing start to the meal. I ordered the Everything Skillet (4/5) and would definitely get it again. I also tried a caramel roll--delicious, but so massive and filling that it kept me from finishing the rest of my meal. Between the cozy vibe, welcoming service, and beautiful setting, this spot is an absolute gem.
To the point: excellent Driving thru the city, looking for a good place for breakfast for 6... perfect stop. Food menu is crazy good original, many unique choices and all were excellent ..! Can't say enough good about this place,,, have to wait a bit during busy hrs, but WELL worth the wait..! Ambiance is casual, comfortable, friendly, and a special shout out to our friendliest server, Andrea, who went well above and beyond. She was enthusiastic, informative and a pleasure to meet and our group had a wonderful experience..!! A must go to...... it will not disappoint..!!!

Absolutely fantastic breakfast. My Lamb Eggs Benedict was top two (tied for first place) of all the Eggs Benedict I've had in my 56 years roaming this planet. (The other one was a Crab Cake Eggs Benedict at Cappy's in San Antonio, TX.) Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Holy buckets. That was literally the best meal we've had in Duluth. Wow! Corned beef hash, eggs perfect to order with hollandaise sauce. Got the Korean Brussel Sprouts. Everything was perfectly delicious. Hello the future is now! We got a link to our cell phone to keep us up to speed on where we were in the waiting list. The wait was worth it. Everyone working there is hustling!! Service great. People are cheerful and happy to be there. I will definitely come back for another meal next time. Highly recommend the Bloody Mary - I didn't get one, but watched them get made and I will try one next time. read more
Well it's Labor Day weekend and that means 3 breakfasts at Duluth grill. Omg I'm so excited. HUGE DG fan ! I have yet to find something I don't like at this place. Bob Dylan may have been born in Duluth, but what makes this city iconic, is the Duluth Grill. A solid American breakfast, with great service and even better food. And it's not some dingy diner, this place is classy, modern and has a kick-@$$ fire place outside. Coffee is amazing, and their hash brown game is on point! Duluth Grill is worth the wait. They don't take reservations, so I would suggest getting your name on their wait list, especially during their weekend service. I've been twice for brunch and the staff were beyond friendly on both occasions, pleasantly chatting with us as we decided on our orders. I went with the breakfast melt per recommendation on my first visit and was not disappointed. Thick cut grilled sourdough holds soft scrambled eggs, melty pepper jack cheese, two thick, flavorful sausage patties, and sweet and savory maple bacon jam. So delightful! On my second occasion, I opted for the breakfast burrito - gigantic! I think it was suffering from one too many components with chorizo, scrambled eggs, hash browns, cotija cheese, tortilla strips, guac, salsa verde, sour cream, and pico - just a lot going on. I was a little bummed that the tortilla wasn't grilled or pan fried as a cold flour tortilla doesn't really do it for me. It was still delicious though and the addition of the tortilla strips added nice crunch. We also split a caramel roll saturated in sweet caramel sauce and topped with chopped pecans balancing out the perfectly soft and sugary interior. I would easily come back to Duluth Grill for the variety of menu options and excellent service in a welcoming and cozy space. A busy spot for good reason, don't skip, just remember to get your name on the wait list. read more

We stopped here for brunch on our way up north, and I'm so glad we did! First time dining here and it won't be the last. The atmosphere inside is so cozy, with a few fireplaces and warm-toned decor. Our server was kind, attentive, and had good suggestions. Their menu is vast - so many tempting options! DRINKS: They offer a few kinds of bloody mary's multiple brunch cocktails, unique mimosa flavors, cider, shrub, lemonade, multiple coffees, smoothies, and teas. We opted for the DG Soother tea and it was so delicious! Served with honey and lemon, in a small glass teapot. FOOD: It was SO hard to pick! They offer omelets, skillets, vegan options, benedicts, a few biscuits and gravy options, and several plates - including unique offerings like leeky waffles, custard french toast, and chicken and pancakes. There are breakfast sammies, burritos, lunch sandwiches, tacos, bowls and salads if you prefer a more lunch menu. We got the everything skillet, corned beef hash skillet, and OG benedict. All was delicious! I was expecting a bit bigger of a portion that I picture from a brunch diner, but it was probably the right (healthy) portion and we didn't have to take leftovers with us. They have specialty hot sauces on the tables (like 6 of them!) that we had a lot of fun trying. They sell their darling mugs, the hot sauce, and other merch onsite that was fun to look through. Having bailed out the first day of our island camping trip at Voyaguers National Park due to high winds and extreme fire danger we needed a success, and boy did we find it here! From the Adirondack chairs out front or the outdoor tables around the side to the ample expressive seating inside we felt instant relief we had picked a good place. Anni was perfect, friendly and obviously a competent experienced server, making a few suggestions and explanations we picked the Huevos skillet and the Breakfast Melt with Chilequiles as the side. The sandwich came on fresh local sourdough with hand formed local sausage. My skillet had in house chorizo, black beans, fried tortilla chips with two eggs on top. Both great and the coffee was delicious and plentiful. The Duluth Grill has earned my five stars read more

Everything that I've had there has been amazing. Plan to wait a little while but they have a nice area outside with lots of beautiful flowers check out the bees and butterflies buzzing around all of their organic growing things. They have fun multiple outside fire pits that you can hang out by the fire while you're waiting. They have a nice mix of bland and spicy food for everyone's palette and lots of organic natural options or straight from the area. I would give anything on the menu a try and make sure to wash it down with a fresh cup of coffee or two. The service is great and all the waiters and waitresses are amazingly helpful with recommendations and anything you need. read more
I'm giving four stars because I think that other menu items might be better than what I had. Chicken and Whaaaaat? Buttermilk fried chicken, house made pancake laced with bacon and corn. Topped with spicy maple bacon coffee syrup, goat cheese, and scallions. This was ok but not something I will order again. read more

This place was well worth the half hour wait. We were seated at the bar & that was so fun. Our server, Lilian, was the absolute best! She was so nice, as were all of them behind the bar. Hubby had the Meat Lover's Omelet w/Korean BBQ Brussel Sprouts. Those brussels were served w/ soyoli, cilantro, & a lime & were amazing! They make all their sauces & purees from scratch, as well as most of the food. I had the Griddle Platter with sausage & she suggested I sub the French toast with the Cinnamon roll French toast. It was excellent. The only downside was that we were seated below an AC vent which chilled our meals very quickly. Treat yourself, but remember to get on the waiting list through the web site first! read more
We found this place on the way out of town, and were so pleasantly surprised at the Korean influenced entrees! They were SOI good too. I had the curry bowl with the Brussel sprouts subbed fro meat and my friend had the Bimibop. Both were excellent. Our server, Lindsay was Just AMAZING. So attentive and had such good advice and suggestions and knew all about the menu in detail. Really great service. Cant say enough good stuff about her. The others who seated us and brought water were also awesome. The whole staff appeared to be very positive and upbeat. The interior and the exterior are cool and beautiful, and they have veggies growing that they do use apparently. The outdoor seating looked fabulous. If I lived closer, I would definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Absolutely worth the wait! We waited about 30 mins for a table as it was a really busy Friday lunch rush and out server Andrea tied the whole experience together :) Her personality was infectious and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves and the food! I got the Korean Toast with a side of Korean Brussel Sprouts. My bf got the Medieval Gyros with a side of our servers *fave*, the banana parfait. Food was super filling and big enough we had to take the rest to go. We also got the Dirty Horchata and Honey Lavender Latte and keep in mind those drinks arn't the sweetest most would assume but we enjoyed the taste of the coffee paired with the flavors. The entire restaurant had a great diner vibe, with great decor. Definitely take the visit! read more

We really loved our first experience at Duluth Grill! Our service from Robert B was top-notch! The food was fabulous! Please do yourself a favor and get the Korean Brussels Sprouts side. We had the ATC Biscuit and Huevos Rancheros with Barbacoa. Everything was fantastic! The vibe is really on point in this place. Comfortable booths. Good coffee! Plus they gave us to-go cups with more coffee before we left and even the recipe for Korean BBQ sauce. Props to this place for going the extra mile for their customers. Always a good experience here. Been here multiple times and they have never disappointed with service, food quality. HIGHLY recommend!! We try to get something new each visit and again never get disappointed! This place does get busy but if you call in advance they will get you in ASAP:) Even if you need to wait there is a great outdoor fire places for you to enjoy. We got a mug this time to support, it was quite expensive $35.00. Overall 10/10 read more
LOVE!! I ordered the Berry Parfait and Farmers Feast. The Granola was so yummy and I loved the seasoning on my sweet potatoes. My girlfriend ordered the Miso Pork Belly Bene, which she was hesitant about the miso hollandaise sauce, but loved it!! Our server, Natalie, was very bubbly and friendly. We had heard this was the must try spot in Duluth and I couldn't agree more. While reservations are not allowed, there is a wait list that gets you in fairly swiftly. A text will be received as your table is ready and then when you arrive, you will get priority. It's important to note if you are running behind you simply get bumped down the list which is no biggie if and when the list is short. We got seated at the bar and truly enjoyed the entire experience. There are fancy coffee options similar to what you'd see in a formal coffee cafe and the staple is the beautiful mugs all warm drinks are served in. These same amazing mugs are available for sale near the front cash register in the pottery section. The food was a chef's kiss all around. I opted for the vegan rancheros omelette with a side of red flannel hash. The hash is a normal side option and I can't recommend it more as it's a combination of sweet potatoes, beets, carrots, onions, bell peppers, salt and pepper and thyme. For my drink, I ordered the hot apple cider which had orange slices and cinnamon sticks. I had a small amount leftover and was able to eat it the same day for dinner. I can't wait to return! We stopped by Duluth Grill on our way back from the North Shore based on the great reviews and our experience completely lived up to the hype. We had about a 30 minute wait, but it was 100% worth it. Not much more to say that hasn't been said, but the staff was amazing considering how busy it was, the decor was kind of cool without trying too hard, and the food was absolutely top notch. read more

SOLID five star experience. Despite being packed to the brim on a weekend morning for brunch these folks run a well oiled operation. My friends and I waited maybe only about 25 mins which was honestly worth it! The food the vibes the staff were all amazing. Our food came out quickly and was just drool worthy. Even with a full house our server was friendly and didn't feel rushed. I got a cinnamon roll to share and then eggs Benedict. Both amazing but tbh the caramel roll that my friends got looked better! Worth the hype, worth the wait. Best brunch I've had in awhile. read more

Is the corned beef hash out of a can?
Our corned beef is slow cooked brisket and trimmed lean. We mix it with hash brown potatoes, onion, and heavy cream. We Grill it to order. It's a one to one ratio of corned beef to potatoes. Thanks
