Stopped at this cozy Red Lobster right in the heart of the winter wonderland that is Bismarck (currently -5degrees). My experience here was cut short by winter weather however I have no complaints. I ordered my go-to meal and it was delicious as usual. I have only one element of feedback to give (and this is not punitive toward the restaurant, it's simply for other patrons.) I ordered a winter-themed sangria, and while it was GORGEOUS...it was pure sugar. This could have been avoided if I had simply read the recipe...my bad. I even offered to pay for it since it was my mistake but the lovely server voided it from my tab. TYVM. Staff were very friendly and conversive. Would recommend. =) read more

Started with a 45 minute wait to be seated "party of 6"followed by drinks and 4 baskets of biscuits 1 hour later that's 1 hour later after being seated total time 1 hour 45 minutes in by now I've had enough, considering the place wasn't really all that busy I decided to have those that were with me cancel my order and I went and set out in the car it was then I discovered a reason why things were taking so long within the first 15 minutes of my sitting in the car I witnessed no less than six employees come out to smoke all shooting the shit. It appears that the manager is a little too easy going and is more worried about being friends to those subordinate to her. Claiming she was short-staffed now why would anyone who's short-staffed allow so many people to take smoke breaks all at once ? 2 hours total still no food ! This visit was on Saturday May 9th 2026 around 6pm or so.Completely unacceptable. Let me begin by saying our server, Sonona, deserves a 10 rating. The manager should have to come out and tell the customers how they have practically nothing on that is listed on the menu! The food we did receive is decent but certainly nothing to brag about. It's clear to see they aware executing a going out their of business plan so I shouldn't be surprised to find a large restaurant with plenty of space, a wait to get seated and basically none of their menu items available. I was visiting Bismarck from Las Vegas and stopped by after my flight--I'm so glad I did! From the moment I sat down, Ryan was friendly, attentive, and very sweet. He made sure everything was perfect, and his warm personality truly made the experience even better. My food came out quickly, everything was delicious, and he kept his section spotless. It's rare to find service this good, and he truly made my dining experience a great one. If you're stopping by this Red Lobster, I highly recommend asking for Ryan. This was a huge disappointment. Not only is it too expensive, our food took over an hour to get, nothing was offered in return. Our drinks went empty and when we finally did get our food it was cold. Worst service EVER. We waited over an hour and never received our ordered meals. No one checked in with us in between. We had to ask for biscuits. The main dishes were on par for the brand & waters were filled regularly. Service was great, main dishes were as good as can be expected for seafood at a land locked chain & the app was meh, at best. The upcharge for the lobster mashed potatoes (about 1/4c) was excessive but, it wouldn't stop me from doing it again. The service was great, but the shrimp scampi was rubbery, undercooked and made my husband sick. I love Red Loster, but no bueno this trip.

Never in my life have I experienced such poor service. We were sat and the waiter, Roger, stormed over and said "it's going to be a while before I can get to you. I told them not to seat me but clearly they didn't listen" then didn't come back for 20 minutes. Instead of complaining about getting a table, how about ask us for drinks or at least leave biscuits to help with the wait. You being sat another table is not our fault and therefore we shouldn't have to pay the price. It took us 35 minutes to get drinks and bread. Once he finally did came he said, "I'm sure you know what you want by now so why don't we just not waste either of our times". Like, you're kidding me right? It just continued to be absolutely horrible through out the entire meal. Even overhearing other tables interactions was astonishing. Mind you, he had 4 tables and food runners and a busser. 11/15/23 The place was dead when we got there just a bunch of servers. We got seated quick but then when we got our food it was all cold, the rice was not cooked it was hard, I have never had bad biscuits there but they were hard and cold, even the noodles were bad they were dry . Passing through Bismarck and stopped in for dinner. Seated immediately by a friendly hostess. The waitress arrived within 2 minutes and was attentive throughout my stay. The spicy calamari was incredible and both of our entrees were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. 10 out of 10 would recommend!! read more

This is a great Red Lobster! Usually my family and I get wonderful service. It is very clean and welcoming. It is a typical chain Red Lobster, so you can expect the same food everywhere where Red Lobster is served! Couple of things in regards to the food: I wouldn't suggest getting the Lobster Bisque (tastes like it comes from the can), right now you can't get the fresh asparagus due to safety reason (from the wildfires, whaaaattt? that's what the server told us), and sometimes the tomato mozzarella can be extra watery (see pictures to see what I mean). Wednesday January 25. 6:45 PM .Few cars in parking lot. My wife and I walked in and saw many open tables. The hostess said I'll see what's open .Then she came back and said to another staff "Why are we seating anyone ? The kitchen is 45 minutes behind" . She ignored us standing there. Another waitress came by and said two kitchen staff didn't show up and that she had to go help the cooks. Then they argued in front of us whether we should be seated. Seated in the back by the walkway. Order was taken- buns and plates brought. Only 3 out of 6 had silverware and napkins. Server said he would bring them. After 10 minutes I found paper towels to use as napkins. A salad was brought- when I asked for silverware- he told me to reach behind me and "grab" the silverware on the walkway wall. No water was ever refilled. Asked for tartar sauce twice and when he brought he handed it to me over the walkway wall and told me to pass it down. The container had tartar sauce on the outside container and was not clean. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Received a text to pick it up at 639pm. we waited there until after 730 to get our order. when we got it home it was wrong. we got the lobster Alfredo which is a $30 meal and it had no sauce...like at all! 2 other orders were missing the sides. I took the lobster Alfredo back with my receipt and explained what happened. it was 8pm by this point. the manager dumped sauce on the lobster Alfredo put it in the microwave and gave it back in a new container that had sauce all over the outside of it. So the only reason this gets 3 stars is because the server was extremely nice, even though it was the end of the night shift. However, this is Bismarck and everyone is lovely ¯\_(ツ)_/¯! The only reason I ate here was because I was in a rush and wanted to stay near to my hotel. But let's get into the food! I had the NY strip and lobster tail, which were mediocre at best, especially if you've had your fair share of red meat from the prairies and you're acclimatized to eating copious amounts of seafood. Would I ever eat there again? Probably not... Was it food, yea sure. But here's the thing, in my mind, if the food is in the name of the restaurant, you should probably do it very well, and the lobster was underwhelming...both in size and in taste, especially at that price point. I'd say that if you are in Bismarck, you have a litany of phenomenal options when it comes to dining...and red lobster, no matter how close it is to your hotel, shouldn't be the option. If it's steak and seafood you're after, check out 40 Steak and Seafood in Bismarck, the rating (at current) isn't indicative of the flavor, it's great! We came from out of town and was looking forward to seafood. The restaurant had an hour wait. Since we had talked it up we decided to wait. They called us back in around 40 minutes later. I was with my daughters one being two and a 4 month old baby. The server came and got our drinks, then came back missing my daughters, which he promptly went and filled. He then took our order. He came back a few times saying the food was coming. After an hour and 10 minutes from being sat I had to go ask for a manager. The manager came and told is she is rushing the food and the server forgot to put it in. She offered us a free dessert and I declined. We wanted to go, my kids had sat too long. The server then avoided the table. When the food came he told us they were short staffed in the kitchen. He brought out lobster mac and cheese with my daughters kids meal. We told him she had mashed potatoes and no mac and cheese. The manager never came back. Our food was cold and not fresh. When the bill came he had 4 extra drinks added on and he charged us for the mac and cheese we didn't order. When i had to wave him down and tell him we didn't order these items he argued with me and said thats what he had written down. It was a terrible experience it wrecked our night. read more

I ate here because it was right next to my hotel and I was running out of places in Bismarck that looked interesting. I think I'm going to have to head back downtown next time. I looked at the menu and was shocked at the price compared to the quality. It just doesn't match up. That said, the crab cakes were pretty good. They were definitely crab heavy, breading light, which is a good thing. The salmon was pretty nondescript. It flaked nicely, so it was prepared well, but the flavor didn't wow me. The mashed potatoes, however, were delicious. But at a seafood place the seafood should be the star of the plate. Service was good. Somewhat oddly over familiar, but still good. read more

And as the hostess sat us in the section which was closing and we were going to be "that table' which made the server wait another hour and half - argh! The food was decent but agree with other comments that Red Lobster has gotten over priced for the quality and quantity - especially with the emergence of all these new fantastic seafood boil restaurants. Thank you for not bothering to put lids on my to go order containers. When I had to hit my breaks to avoid rear ending someone and the bag slid to the floor this would have really came in handy to avoid my whole meal spilling out into my floor mats, but why would I expect lids for my $50 seafood meal that I'm TAKING HOME IN A VEHICLE? I took my family to eat an early dinner at 4:00p.m. Got seated fine then waited for about 10 minutes before our waiter dedided to come over. Mind you the place was almost empty. He had very poor manners and it was obvious he didn't want to be there. He even said I can't believe they gave me a table when they told me I was gonna be cut. The server then gave our appetizer to another table that came in well after us and actually came over and said he gave our appetizer to another table and that ours would be another 10 minutes. The server never asked how the food was when it finally came and never asked if we would like any more biscuits even though the basket had been empty since before we even got our appetizer. When I finally got my check I informed him that they never gave me my side salad. He said oh sorry and never offered to discount it even though I never even got it. I asked for a manager and the manager said that they don't have the capability to discount on their system. As I was talking with him another waiter asked him to give a military discount to the table he was waiting on. The manager said of course! I said I thought you couldn't discount and he just stared at me blankly. I told the manager I will just pay my bill and leave but won't be back. He said sorry you had a bad experience. He said he could give me a $5 gift card! I laughed and said why would I want a gift card when I will never come back. He never said another word. I ate at Red Lobster last Tuesday night. I had the Walts shrimp, baked potato, salad with blue cheese, and a biscuit. I woke up in the middle of the night with severe vomiting. I had diarrhea for 3 days. This was the only food I ate on Tuesday. I was so ill I did a COVID-19 rapid test, which was negative. I will never return to Red Lobster.
