We had a decent experience at red lion bbq and will be back to try more items. The employees were very nice and we got our food quickly. The brisket was delicious and well cooked! It fell apart instantly. The pulled pork sandwich was cooked well (not dry) but it lacked flavor and the bun was stale. I had to lather it in their bbq sauce. The French fries were incredible- both crunchy and flavorful. The Mac and cheese was good. Creamy, noodles al dente, and flavorful. The cheese sauce was a little watery for my taste. Save your money and don't get the corn on the cob. It was very overcooked, almost mushy, and had absolutely no flavor. read more

Don't go there! "Burger" was terrible and I couldn't eat it. I don't know what was in it, but it was not beef, lots of salt, grainy (like cartilage), light grey, and more like a fake meatloaf burnt on the grill. Bun was stale. I am not a picky eater, this was just not right. My spouse had the pulled pork, and he said it tasted more like boiled than smoked pork. Not much seating, only 2 high tops, with metal stools. I should've known this place wasn't going to be good when I walked in and I didn't smell no barbecue but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and give it a try anyways but in my opinion, this is not good barbecue I got the ribs and brisket mac & cheese ribs looked horrible. They were super dry. They've definitely been sitting for either a few hours or a day or so brisket also good flavor but it was dry you can. See in the pictures where it's just dry it out not really good. Mac & cheese was not good at all that for you very bad taste in my mouth doesn't really taste, Service was not that much better Either I walked in and told the guy this is my first time trying, and he had no recommendations. Fairly decent BBQ place. I had a brisket sandwich that seemed a bit small but had a good amount of meat on it. They are served a la carte so I got the coleslaw for a side and a can of Coke. Was given a choice of flat (lean) or point (fatty) and I opted for point. Meat seemed slightly dry for point but was tender and flavorful. Original sauce was good on it. Coleslaw was very good and plentiful unlike a lot of places that provide only a sample size of two bites. A little pricey for a sandwich meal but what isn't these days. Decorated with framed pictures of their construction and a few license plates and that's pretty much it but was clean. My order was taken and prepared quickly. Worth a visit for sure. read more

I first heard of this restaurant from a well known YouTuber under the name brennen Taylor! Since I'm a local I decided to try it out and it was amazing! A little pop and son store with so many options! Me and my fiancé got 1LB of baby back ribs and 1/2LB chicken and a large Mac for only $30! The baby back ribs fell apart in your mouth and with the regular BBQ sauce was a perfect combo! As well as the chicken for it being so juicy and falls right apart in your mouth! I am a big chicken fan so that suits me perfectly! The Mac was creamy and had so much flavor! I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone! I will always support small business owners! read more

I've lived in Stuart for 4 years and have been to every BBQ place in the area. I went into Red Lion today and it blew me away. the Brisket was hands down the best I've ever had. a flavorful crust, beautiful smoke ring, and extra tender. I also got a whole chicken which was super flavorful and not dry at all. I would recommend their regular sauce to pair with it. The inside is quaint and clean! PRO TIP: Drizzle the sauce on the brisket because its too tender to dip. read more
