I had the pulled pork platter was up to par, I like that they give you cinnamon butter for the sweet potato (also used the cinnamon butter for my corn bread). The wait staff seemed a bit unsure who was supposed to take care of us, but Katie eventually came over and was so kind and friendly. The food was just alright, nothing special. Tonight my husband, his sister and I went to Southern Pig and Cattle for a quick dinner. At the end of the meal my husband realized his wedding ring was no longer on his finger. After a panicked search under the table without finding the ring, we realized it had most likely come off as he wiped his messy fingers on his napkin, which he discarded on his plate which had been removed. In a panic, we grabbed our terrific waitress who grabbed her manager and after explaining what had happened, members of kitchen staff went out to the dumpster and ultimately found the ring! It is absolutely amazing that place can be this good. The service is excellent; the waitress knows the menu and when you ask a question they know the answer without hesitation. The place is spotless. I ordered the cobb salad again with grilled chicken -- incredible - very consistent. My husband had the Southern Pig specialty beef sandwich, and it was incredible. A huge disappointment. I have eaten barbecue all over the country, and all over the south. This place is a joke. My husband and I split the three meat platter so that we could try the different meats here. There's an up charge for the beef brisket. The turkey was sliced like luncheon meat, and tasted like luncheon meat. We outright laughed at the turkey. The brisket that was an up charge - it was also sliced as thin as luncheon meat, and was not even worth the up charge. Our server was nice and offered a refill of soda to go.
