Really liked the former - gray, well cooked and seasoned. The tomatoes were mostly corn bread and light of the tomato. For entrees, we shared the filet, Scottish salmon, and jumbo shrimp. The salmon was the winner, as it was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Cocktails were well made, and made for a fun night. For the spots in the area, this has great ambiance and is a wonderful place for a group of friends to hand or a nice dinner for family.

Fried items were especially crispy, hot and tasty. Not sure how they managed to stay hot for 5 minutes (perhaps the plates were kept warm) but was nice touch. A good sized piece of swordfish (nice and thick compared to most slender pieces I get other places) served with adequate salad on the side. Mac and cheese was top notch with lots of gruyere, wide noodles and a crispy cheesy top served in large skillet. Brownie sundae dessert was excellent...crispy on the outside and gooey chocolate on the inside with whipped cream and ice cream. Service for our group of 13 was very good.

And the old woman behind the bar with dark hair was extremely rude to me, she had a blue top on. I ordered French onion soup over the phone and asked for the "bread" on the side I arrived about 10 mins later, nobody could find my order... bc she didn't even put it in! This other sever which she was nice simply just asked if I meant the crotons on the side, which I replied yes The woman in the blue shirt starts arguing with me saying "she said bread on the phone" "she said bread it's not bread it's crotons" croutons are in fact bread but besides the point I feel like it was a pretty straight forward request. I don't know why the woman who took my order was so adamant about proving her point over the fact I said croutons instead of bread.. and arguing saying stuff about it when the other server had it handled. The woman who are arguing me over the bread thing, proceeded to put my order in but then ignored me and didn't cash me out. She immediately went to talk to some guys at the bar instead of cashing me out, at that point I stood there for another good 10 minutes and still didn't get rang up so ultimately I decided to leave, as I was ignored and argued with over me using the term "bread" instead of "crouton" I wouldn't recommend this place for food, a lot of locals say the food is only good if you've been drinking and the wings are always undercooked, so I don't think I'd risk trying this place out.. All in all the server who took care of me was very sweet and nice I know it wasn't her fault The woman who initially took my order was very rude.

A 5pm reservation would make one think, quality service and a fresh hot kitchen! Well something certainly has changed in the last few months because we received neither! After explaining to our server how excited we were to be there for Mother's Day and how it was our parents first visit we placed an order of 3 appetizers (all more bland and less hot than they should be) - keep in mind the restaurant was mostly empty. As we waited for our entrees (an unusually long time) our server didn't check on drinks or water. When 3 of our 4 entrees did come out, we waited for the 4th as manners would expect. Five minutes, 10 minutes, still nothing. When I finally was able to flag down our server there was some excuse about "mixed up tickets" and that a "manager would be right over." 15 more minutes, all were done with their meals as my husband still awaited his entree. No manager, no server. Completely unacceptable. As my sweet husband cut into his filet, completely over cooked and rubbery, was supposed to be medium- he dare not send it back as everyone else was done and he felt terrible. To make matters worse, my father's fish, was loaded with blood line, ruining the flavor of the meat of the snapper. The least they could do was send a manager over. $200 later- (no alcohol) we will definitely never be back and you shouldn't waste your time or money either. There are plenty of other great restaurants around that will take far better care of you and your family.

The bartender Bowin was great but the owner that was talking down to him was absolutely appalling. First thing I heard across the bar before taking my drink order "I heard you're wanting to serve here and it's not gonna happen" which shocked me because where I come from if you have a correction to make with an employee take it up in the office, not in the public eye. I'm visiting and wanted a nice happy hour experience but let me say I'm never happy seeing workers mistreated like that. I was polite enough to wait until the end of my meal to speak with the owner, Ron, and he was very dismissive. He said the following "it's not that deep, you don't know the full story, etc." which absolutely true I don't know the full story but I don't need to. Actions speak louder than words. The way he treated him I would never support someone like that and first impressions are everything so shame on him. I stayed because I wanted to give Bowin a good tip and ensure I take this up with the owner before leaving instead of leaving a review. Here we are, I'm leaving a review because hospitality is very important in 2 sectors: 1) the way you feel; 2) the experience. I give a singular star for Bowin's great service as well as Celine's but Ron, the owner, doesn't deserve anyone's money for the way he treats his employees. I've never left a review like this but there's a first for everything. I do not recommend this establishment but if you do go please sit at the bar with Bowin or Celine because they deserve a good tip to take home. I support them but not this establishment or Ron. The way you treat your employees is the way they will treat your customers. I will also not be dismissed by someone like this. At first I wasn't going to say anything because I'm on vacation but I will not stand for this nor support this.

We were greeted warmly upon arrival and swiftly escorted to our table, which offered a lovely view of the bar area and a musician playing genuinely cool, soulful music. The energy in the room was vibrant, welcoming, and effortlessly chic -- the kind of atmosphere that immediately lets you know you're somewhere special. Our server, Lizzie, was an absolute standout. She was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, with such a bright and genuine spirit. Her guidance through the menu was thoughtful and spot-on, and she truly elevated the entire dining experience. We began with the specialty oysters and the tuna poke. The tuna was clearly sushi-grade and incredibly fresh, served with house-made wonton chips that were nothing short of outstanding. The oysters were beautifully presented and came with a phenomenal variety of accompaniments that complemented them perfectly. For entrées, we chose the sweet potato-crusted grouper with truffle fries and plantains, as well as the crusted snapper served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Both dishes were expertly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully plated. I must also note that the portion size of the fresh Florida fish was incredibly generous -- easily enough to feed two people, which was a wonderful surprise and tremendous value. We also requested a customized margarita, and the bartender nailed it -- perfectly balanced and exactly what we had in mind. From the ambiance to the service, cocktails, and exceptional food, Sophia's delivered a truly memorable dining experience. We left impressed, happy, and already planning our return. This is a gem in Hobe Sound, and we will absolutely be back.
