I ordered a half slab of baby back ribs platter, which came with cornbread and a choice of three sides. Nothing was what I would call Hot. The collard greens weren't bad, the cornbread was of the lighter variety and could've had more corn flavor, but it was also not bad. The mac & cheese was the warmest thing served to me, and it wasn't bad either, but it was dry and texture, not melting and gooey. The beans were in a thin sort of spicy and not particularly sweet syrup and we're just a touch over room temperature. Which brings us to the ribs. I ate three of them, because I was trying each of the four sauces on the table to try to bring some moisture to the party. That was the basic problem. These were the driest baby back ribs I have ever had. I just looked down at my plate halfway through and realized there was no point to continuing to eat these. They weren't worth the effort or the calories. I went to the counter and paid my bill. The hostess said why didn't you say something to your waitress? That was a fair question, I suppose, but the waitress never appeared in the dining room after bringing me the plate and I'm not quite sure what the restaurant was gonna do to infuse moisture into dried out ribs. We ended up getting a 3 meat combo. We got the ribs, brisket and sausage. Everything was delicious. Ribs were giant. Not the most tender, but i don't know if that was on purpose. The brisket was moist and tender and the sausage was good but a bit spicy. Wife liked that a lot. The bbq sauce they also make in house which seemed to be good. I would come back again!

The restaurant is located right on the water next to the boat ramp and has an enormous amount of parking. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, along with a full bar area. The outdoor seating is especially nice since it's completely covered on the deck but with all of the bushes and plant surrounding the deck, you're not really getting much of a view. This visit, we opted to sit at the bar and were lucky enough to snag three seats together. Our bartender was awesome and did a fantastic job throughout the meal. They don't serve liquor here, only beer and wine, so I ordered a rosé. The bartender recommended a cute little $16 bottle that came in its own mini bucket. It was adorable and paired perfectly with my meal. For my entrée, I ordered the Ahi tuna with broccoli and a side salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. My husband, however, definitely won the meal competition with the shrimp stuffed with crab meat and mashed potatoes. I stole a bite, and wow--it was incredible. The flavor and texture were outstanding, and I'll absolutely be ordering that next time. One of the funniest parts of the visit was the bartender's T-shirt featuring Anthony Bourdain flipping you off on the back. They were selling them, and I couldn't resist buying one. I'm pretty excited to wear it. Overall, we always enjoy coming here. Great waterfront atmosphere, good food, friendly service, and plenty of parking make it a place we'll continue to visit.

Next time I might add onions or try the Hot Italian with banana peppers. My son got the Pastrami and my husband had the Cold Italian--both were delicious. Everything tasted homemade and made with care. Definitely worth the stop!
