Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef's Choice. The Chef's Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious--great garlic flavor. Would order again. The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice. They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom--a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it's beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn't but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee's Knees for the second round. It was delicious! The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market. Oh, and the apple pie was excellent as well!

Honestly, I debated on whether or not to actually do this review. This restaurant is beloved by so…read moremany in this area and is truly a gem of the cultural tapestry that makes up Tulsa. I know that people have really strong feelings about this place one way or the other so I'm just gonna be brave about this and charge on. It had been several years since I actually had ate here, and my husband had never been, so we made a date of it! As as soon as you walk in the door, you know you're at someplace special. The interior of this restaurant immediately transports you to that green island across the sea. We started our evening with appetizers, one from their OktoberFest menu (the sausage balls) and another from their regular menu (the goat and cream cheese plate). The sausage balls are flavorful and filled with sausage, cabbage, and cheese. It's fried almost like an arancini and they serve three of them with a sauce that neither of us could quite identify, but I'm sure it was on the menu description. I am not a big fan of cabbage, even if it is something that you can't really taste it in so this wasn't my personal favorite. My husband said it needed just a little bit more seasoning, but it was otherwise delicious. Out of the two, my favorite was the goat cheese which was served with a toasted bread. For our mains, I got the classic Guinness steak pie with the brown gravy, and my husband got the fish and chips. Hands-down, you cannot beat this steak pie! The crust was delicious, the filling was seasoned just right and the brown gravy around it was just perfection. For the side I switched out the seasoned vegetables for the green beans. The green beans were still crunchy in a good way, and seasoned with salt pepper and a little bit of garlic. This is brought out in a shareable size and paired well with the hardiness of the steak pie. My husband's fish and chips were unfortunately a little lackluster. For our personal taste, the batter was just a bit too cakey and was really dark. The potato wedges that were served with it were decent. Though for our personal taste, I wish that they had been dropped a little bit longer in the fryer. They have an in-house tartar sauce that they put olives in. If you're like my husband, you might want to steer clear and just grab the malt vinegar or ketchup instead. It wasn't bad, he just doesn't like olives.‍ Our server was really kind and attentive, even though he was running about half of the tables in the restaurant! We definitely will be back to try more of the menu and plan to bring family in as they enjoy an Irish pub scene as well. I'm giving them a 4 star review because I can't give them a 3.5. and I like to round up. I think a lot of of what we experienced was just personal preference and like I said we do plan to come back because we have loved ones who will enjoy this. Overall, a great midweek dining experience.

The atmosphere definitely has a charm to it, with a great fine dining atmosphere and very professional staff. To start, we went with the arancini, a favorite of ours. I would say it could not have been better and definitely had delicious texture and flavor. For sides, we shared the truffle mashed potatoes and the roasted carrots. Both cooked to perfection and I especially loved the truffle mashed potatoes. For my entree, I had the seabass and it had a wonderful crispy sear on the outside with the fish overall being cooked perfectly. I also loved the flavors of the additional components to the dish. My wife had the NY Strip and also very much loved it. She has a pretty high bar when it comes to steaks so definitely high praise! The cheesecake was delicious without the rhubarb compote. The compote was just a layer of sour on top of lemon flavored cheesecake. I really liked the horseradish coleslaw. I'm not a big fan of collard greens but I still tried them and actually thought they were pretty good. For our mains, two of us had the brisket and one had ribs. Both were super good. There were 4 different sauces. I recommend trying them all. I wanted to try the sausage but they were sold out. I guess you need to get there earlier than an hour before they closed. We finished with a couple desserts. The banana pudding was probably the best I've had. Their seasonal cobbler was blueberry and very tasty! I was hoping for peach. Maybe next time. Yes there will definitely be a next time. It was a lot of food so we had plenty left over that ate for lunch the next day. The atmosphere is super friendly and really clean. Like most barbecue places I've been to there is no table service. You order and pay at the counter. Then depending on how busy they are they will bring your food to your table or have you pick up at the counter. For me the cherry on top is their pay it forward meal. For $15 you can buy a meal for someone in need. They hand you a receipt that you pin to a board. Then when someone needs a meal they can go in and grab one off the board. They offer them their lunch special. While I was there I saw a very grateful individual come in and get a meal. The staff were super nice and treated them just like any other customer. Great food! Great service! Great value! Do yourself a favor and try this place!
