I like it when I discover a good, new, local business. I liked this place. The food was great. The food service was very fast, and the atmosphere was friendly. It feels like this business has been here a long time. The customer seems to know the staff well. It is a nice friendly feeling when you have that connection. I was here for breakfast. I had the Sunshine Stacker it was good and a good size. That hashbrown was good. They made it crispy and good. It was a good dish. I was happy. The restaurant has a nice pet friendly outdoor sitting area. The inside is a good size. It is full of holiday cheers. They have really decorated the place out and it looks great. This restaurant support a few good causes. It is worth looking into it. It was a nice local spot to try.

Most of the time in the past would be 5 stars but not today. Usually busy but even busier today may be bc of the closing of Michael's, ?. Long wait, 25 minutes, but got in eventually. Laura was our "Army Sargent" server. Les got a western omelet with all raw, yuk, veggies. I got my 2 eggs w sausage and home fries, and all were fine. Waited a long time to get a to go box and pay our check, I went outside to wait for les and smoked a whole cigarette. Finally he came out and said, never again! He said, Laura said he didn't pay and didn't tip. Lol with that argument, she got NO tip. Not going back.

We finally tried this small local diner for breakfast after talking about it for months and were pleasantly surprised. Weekends we pass by and usually see a line waiting outside but we hit it right and got a table immediately. Our server was prompt and friendly. We ordered a sesame bagel sandwich with smoked salmon, tomato and cream cheese along with eggs Benedict and hard to find delicious grits which were another good surprise. There is some seating out front where you can bring your pup, and indoors has a huge mural / photo of the Lighthouse Point lighthouse and surrounding area. I thought the food was really good and the prices to match so we may have found a terrific new breakfast spot. Oh and they also serve lunch! Sorry for pics of the half eaten meals!!

This is a great breakfast and lunch café, which has been around for years. The waitresses are very attentive and friendly. I had the nova lox with the bagel, which was very good and they give you a lot of nova lox. they have a large menu for breakfast and lunch, which are moderately priced.

Always an enjoyable time at Red Fox! The food always comes out quick and delicious. They are a popular spot so often have to wait for a seat but it never takes too long!

We love love love Red Fox! My husband grew up coming here as a child, and since moving to Lighthouse Point this is our new go-to breakfast spot. Clean and updated, this local joint is full of local, friendly faces and mom & pop friendly service. The food is fresh, homemade and delicious! On our last visit I had scrambled egg whites with feta, mushrooms & chicken sausage with a side of the juiciest tomatoes and saved the rest for breakfast the next day (the portions are very generous!). This will be a place we will bring our kiddos to for years to come!

What a sweet family restaurant. Great food. Great service even in July 4th. I highly recommend.

I never knew this diner was here in LHP. Today I got to try it! Located east of US1 on Sample road (on the north side of the road) Red Fox Diner is a staple for delicious breakfast/lunch foods! Open from 6 am until 2 pm you can always pick something thats made fresh and is delicious to eat! I met a buddy from high school here this morning and we started with the fresh fruit plate which had cantaloupe, grapes, bananas and fresh blood orange sections! I ordered the avo toast (minus the 2 eggs it came with). It was packed with fresh avocado, fresh spinach, tomato cubes and a balsamic drizzle atop a slice of whole wheat toast! Delicious!!! My friend Robert had the omlette with salmon, onions and fresh spinach. It looked delicious. He also had the hash brown patties (it came with two) that were cooked golden brown! The spot was packed and we sat at the bar. We both had iced teas to drink and the service was impeccable. We had a waitress that loved music as much as we do and we had a great conversation with her as we feasted. IF you are in the Light House Point area and are hungry for a delicious breakfast or even a lunch spot THIS is where you need to go. Clean and nicely lit with tables and booths as well as counter seating you cant go wrong here! I will definitely return! I probably will sit at the counter again I liked the waitress that much! The food was great too! Take it from Commander Cuisine, this is a great spot when you want that fresh cooked meal with great service! The service part matters a lot to me and our waitress was the tops! You can thank me later!

I love this place. The food is fantastic. Everything I had, every time I went, was good here. Last time, I had a steak wrap, and it was delicious. Their eggs benedict is also good. I love their home fries. The service is excellent. Early in the morning, I love to sit outside. It's a small and cozy place. I recommend.

I stumbled across this little gem called the Red Fox Diner when I was in Lighthouse Point. They're open everyday from 6a until 2pm for breakfast and lunch. On Sundays they only serve breakfast. This diner is small, and they have some outdoor seating. This place is dog friendly. You can bring your dog if their well behaved, and sit outside on their covered patio. They will even give your dog some water. They've been in business for over 50 years, and I can see why. You can definitely see and feel how friendly the staff is when they're interacting with their customers. Many customers are local and on a first name basis with the staff. My waitress HEATHER was a delight. She immediately took my drink order and brought me a cup of hot coffee and water. The coffee was very good and served in a cute mug. The menu is simple, but everything is cooked to order and executed perfectly. For breakfast I ordered a Ham & Cheese Omelette with Hash brown Patties. (You get a choice of home fried potatoes, hash brown patties, grits, oatmeal, or sliced tomatoes. You also get a choice of toast. A bagel, raisin bread, or croissant is an extra charge.) My omelette was cooked perfectly, and it was stuffed with ham and cheese from one end to the other. My hash browns were crispy. My bf chose Two eggs with meat- 2 eggs plus bacon, ham or sausage, with 1 side dish & toast. He chose ham, and grits. He throughly enjoyed his breakfast. HEATHER kept coming over and checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. My coffee was continuously refilled. I got to checkout some of their other dishes customers ordered. Everything looked delicious. I would definitely come here again.

I finally walked down the block to try this diner out because i live rt down the block. I always see it busy with guests eating outside ala fresco and it just seems like a good place for a nice breakfast. I'm glad I tried it out because I'll definitely be returning :) I tried the corn beef hash with eggs over medium and that cane over a hash brown and choice of toast. It was a good portion and yummy flavors. I'll definitely have to try many more items on the menu! So I'll keep you posted. read more

Food was decent. Service was good until food came then it was drop check off and until a payment form came out........ ignored! Laura was my server and I thought she was good until food arrived then she ghosted me. And I was not the only one that she did this too. It is like sit, shovel food, pay bill, get out. First of all, been here many times, more in the past when they were around the corner in same strip mall building, always above average meal, but the counter girl Sherry that served me had a BAD ATTITUDE, ask her for sugar when I couldn't fine any and she filled a container but basically threw it down toward me..... Food was above average but amazingly fast getting to me.. I witnessed a waitress (Donna)receiving scrambled eggs and hashbrowns from the cook, she pulled it down and proceeded to cut up the scrambled eggs, with a fork,and then with her bare hands grab the hash browns and put it on the plate, I was flabbergasted and could not believe this just happened. June 2022, I came here with a friend and sat outside, the service was quick and breakfast was great. My friend ordered Grits and a side of Crispy Bacon. I ordered two eggs over easy with Crispy Bacon and an English Muffin. Our server who was new on the job was great. Also, the coffee tasted good, not bitter. The prices were reasonable. Red Fox Diner is like walking into a time machine from 30 years ago . How refreshing to know a place with Americana still exists down here in South Florida . What a great Local hidden gem this place is with great food and I mean great with Friendly people . The owner came by and refilled my drink twice and made sure everything was good . This is a great breakfast spot. I work all night & they are one of the few diners open at 6:00am. My waitress Deanna was amazing. The owner is in the dining room chatting it up with the guests. We stopped in one Saturday morning, after trying to find a farmer's market, and wow...what a pleasant surprise! The staff was incredibly friendly and seemed to have a rapport with most of the diners. It was really nice to see such smiling faces and the food...well, it was delicious! Be sure to look at the specials, they really looked amazing come out of the kitchen! We live in Oakland Park and would make the trip again for this super inviting diner!!! read more

1st time back since Red Fox moved from around the corner. The entire restaurant is new and very well decorated with indoor and outdoor seating. My server Kim was amazing. Quick to refill Water & Coffee and explained all the breakfast specials. She's an asset to this fine establishment. I had the Country Style Breakfast- "Spiral cut Ham piled high with 2 eggs any style , Plus a Biscuit topped w/Sausage gravy" The ham was moist and the sausage gravy Spot on with flavor. Great little neighborhood spot, I even ran into 3 of my friends during this visit. A must try spot. Prices are reasonable and the place is very clean. read more

Nice little diner in Lighthouse Point just east of US1 that is very popular with the locals and often crowded on the weekends. This is the new location as they recently moved from around the corner after 50 years or so of serving the community. The servers have been here a long time, the food is pretty good, and the ambiance is nice. I had the Belgian waffle, eggs, bacon, and everything was pretty tasty. I am not sure if they offer real maple syrup as I was served the generic syrup and that would have been a nice upgrade. Tons of parking is available on the east side and they have outdoor seating. read more

I've been meaning to get here for 8 months, it's always crowded when I try to visit! Finally had the opportunity to enjoy a breakfast! Now I see why it's always full. Our server Jenn was very personable and attentive. She was able to modify my companions request for a simple breakfast! Enjoyed that, other places would have charged for a meal we couldn't eat! I walked in to place a carry out. Manager was EXTREMELY rude making a snarky comment when I entered with my service animal. She rolled her eyes and a customer said "it really is". Her response was "They all are." I walked out. I will never return. Complete unnecessary attitude and discrimination against an animal protected by ADA. read more

I know this place is a long time establishment but I don't care to come back. The food is sub par on the health scale,...they serve mayo that doesn't need refrigeration and those little creamers too (preservatives aren't healthy) and they charged me extra for crumbled cheese that they didn't even melt...on eggs to substitute for no bread that I don't eat. Not a healthy nor a Keto friendly establishment. I spoke up but they don't seem to care. I'm sure I'll find a more health conscious diner somewhere. Sad, they could have had me as a daily customer but they don't really care. read more

Great little hidden place! We had the avocado toast with 2 eggs, spinach, tomato, cheese and avocado. It was delicious!! There was a good amount of avocado. The coffee was really good. Very clean restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean also. It got really busy but no one made you feel rushed. The waitress, I believe her name was Victoria, was super nice. Checked on us just enough to feel taken care of but not too much to feel you can't have a conversation. It was our first time and we're definitely going back!! read more

They opened immediately after Irma to give local residents a place to eat. Living in Lake Placid, I have driven by here 2-3 times every day but never stopped in. Great place! Had breakfast while awaiting auto service at a nearby dealership. The service writer recommended this place Lots of loyal repeat customers here. Menu selections are unique, especially the Benedict items. Opted for the meat lovers omelet. Came with home fries and a perfectly toasted English muffin. Going to try the Alaskan Benedict next time. The meal was outstanding. The service was courteous and efficient. The restaurant was clean and has outside seating. Prices are reasonable and the value is outstanding. If I lived within twenty miles of this place I would be here every week. read more

This is definitely a locals spot, which is not a bad thing. If anything you feel welcomed and attended to rather quickly. Major kudos for having some Milkbones and water for dogs. If you come here early enough you get to experience the chitter-chatter of the silver aged folks. It's interesting to sit here and simply listen to them chat about life. Added perk to this place. Food is on point overall, coffee never ran empty and service was always with a smile. read more

Was going to check this place out. But not after I saw the no nike sign on the front door. Interesting that a resturant is protesting against a company who supports a human being who was protesting against the fair treatment of others. Stop being so simple minded and realize he is not disrespectful. In fact he was simply doing what our soldiers fought for the right to do. Normally I wont trash a place the first time I try them out as anyone can have an off day. However my dining experience at the red fox was absolutely terrible. From the stand offish server, cold and stale potatoes, over cooked eggs. My girlfriend pancakes were raw inside. C'mon its breakfast.
