First off the place is really nice and clean so that's a plus. The servers are not at fault , fully on the cooks. I ordered the kids catfish , I am not a frequent fish eater , but I knew something was off after a couple of bites. The catfish had a weird , slimy texture to it and smell. I am currently 7 months pregnant so this is a very big concern. The waitress was very understanding and agreed as well. The cooks and manager I am assuming said it was cooked but it's just it was the certain type of cut. I have never heard that in my life . I don't feel to well after eating it , praying me and my baby are okay. Anywho , sadly won't be coming back , they were a little stingy with the sauce on my husbands boiled shrimp , not worth the money and definitely not worth it when the owners and chef have so much pride they can't take a fault for their actions. Very good service. Seated promptly and the waiter was very prompt and attentive , but not overbearing like some bored waiters get. The drinks at the bar were good - and the food was seasoned perfectly but we got the juicy sauce . We have had this place ordered through door dash before but never went inside. There was a ballgame of some sort going on at the bar TVs and the drunks sitting up there were getting quite obnoxious and using profanity in front of us, which sort of made it uncomfortable when they let loose. Wish more would've been done to follow tabc and make sure these drunks didn't keep getting served, however. Very clean place, but restrooms has a gaggle of teen girls in it who were playing in the bathroom , which blocked entry and exit into stalls, main door, and to get to the sink. read more

I never review a restaurant after only one visit. I must make a exception for this clueless establishment. The food was the worst we have ever been served in a Houston restaurant. The "chef" does not know how to cook. Don't mean to be harsh ... it's just true. We started with 2 appetizers. 1) fried calamari / it was like trying to eat rubber bands. Tough. I think it was pre- battered frozen. The breading fell off when touched and so tough it could not be chewed. 2) bowl of crab bisque/ maybe it was from a can, don't know, but color and flavor was just bad, and a very sweet after taste. ( needless to say no crab) Our entrees were/ 1) fried catfish poorboy. The fish fillet was like pre-breaded frozen store bought fillets, and fried in super hot oil quickly. Giving a crispy outside and total raw middle. ( I requested well done fish). First time I have been served catfish sushi! Not good! They squirted a weird mayonnaise base orange colored sauce on fish. Not good. 2) Combo fried fish and shrimp. Shrimp were very small and pre-breaded frozen store bought-like. They were very pale in color and batter fell off to touch. The fish was same as on the poorboy. Most of the food was left uneaten. Our server,(Noel), noticed most of the food was left uneaten. Ask how was everything ( mistake), I told him what I wrote here. He got our ticket. Charged full price $53.00. I gave him a full tip. Badly purchased and prepared food was not his fault. I do believe it is the first time we have visited a restaurant and only able to eat the French fries served with each meal! And not even a visit from the manager after so little food had been edible. I don't ask for discounts. I do expect to get what I'm charged for. Store bought pre- breaded frozen seafood is not what was advertised on the menu, but it is what we got. Honestly. I have had better store-bought frozen dinners than what was served here! Over-priced bad food! I saw this place had good reviews and decided to check it out and was VERY disappointed. The service was terrible. It took about 15 mins to even be greeted by our server. Once we got the drinks we ordered food and sat there for a good 35-40 mins with just drinks and nobody came to check on us. Other customers even noticed how long we were waiting. We finally decided to just pay for the drinks and leave because we had been in the restaurant for an hour with no food while to-go orders and other orders were flying out of the kitchen. The manager didn't even try to resolve the issue he just told me "I think your food is ready now" :) definitely will not ever be going back here. Oh and the bathrooms were filthy with puddles of piss on the ground and you can smell the sewage as you approach. Thank you Red Crab for saving us from food poisoning! read more

Finally tried this place out... and so glad we did!! Do not let it's location fool you (ie the older strip center with some empty spots etc) this little gem is AMAZING! You can tell the owners spent quite a bit on the interior as it is very nice with all the booths having embroidered seat backs, an abundance of cute seafood themed decorations & the overall ambiance is great. As far as the food ... it was SO GOOD! DELICIOUS! I had the Thursday special and my fiancé had the king crab legs & sausage. It was all served in the bags like you sometimes get crawfish. They bring out your scrap bucket, shell crackers, gloves, bibs & wipes. We went all in and had the "juicy sauce" with medium spice which was the perfect mix. In my opinion the hotter options would over shadowed the delicious seafood but to each their own. Our waitress Meccala was great & super helpful with suggestions. We also shared "the Ocean" cocktail - it's HUGE and reminded me of old school rum punch - but with better alcohol & flavor lol! The entire staff was friendly and attentive. Our overall experience was great & we will most certainly be back soon!! And FYI... the have hand sanitizer the minute you walk in and all staff wore masks correctly (don't get me started on the half maskers you see at some places! ). Came here on their soft opening and everything was very smooth to my surprise. I am visiting from Florida and would definitely recommend those who are in the area to check this place out. They have a big menu with so much more than just seafood to offer. Great seasoning on the crab legs I have ordered and my kids loved their fries dishes which were fresh and obviously made to order. I actually really like this place. I came here for the first time and Monique was such a great server. I went back the second time with a group of friends for her to serve us again! They have a DJ on the weekends and this is a neighborhood spot so close to my house. Good drinks and good food. A bit pricey to me but they must stay in competition with other places near them. The oysters were not fresh and although this could be permissible, the more daunting issue is that they looked like they were spoiling. I love oysters however these were the worst ones I've ever had. I also saw a waiter eating food as he was walking around the restaurant and I saw him eating food while exiting the kitchen. It made me wonder if my own food had been tampered with - it's just a very unprofessional and careless act. Our waiter was kind at first, but she wasn't very attentive after and even served the oysters without any sauce, just on a bed of ice. The seafood pasta was disappointing in taste, but this could very well be just personal preference. I don't recommend this place. The restrooms were also filthy. read more

Had dinner here today. Warm welcome, quick seating. Offered a free taster shot of one of their cocktails (very good). Unbeknownst to us it was ladies night and my sister and I picked a free cocktail. Both good. The other three in my party got boils with different sauces/spice levels. All said they were good. I got the shrimp po'boy which had a great remoulade, just the right amount of kick. This place is new in town and is a awesome place for boiled seafood. The food was super fresh and boiled absolutely perfectly. We had snow crab, blue crab, dungeness clusters, and shrimp tossed in a mixture of all the seasonings they offer. Not only was it super yummy, everything pealed perfectly almost slipping from the shells without much effort at all. The wait staff was attentive and the food was delivered very quickly. This has to be the WORST service I've ever received! We walked in and had to go to the kitchen to get someone to seat us. When we finally got someone to get us a table we sat there for 15 mins at least! I went back to the host booth and got a guy who was just standing there to get us a waiter. Horrible service, very rude business. We asked for a table of 8 and the man who was at the host stand was very rude about putting our table together. This is at 8:17 they close at 10pm btw. So the server finally came and we asked for more time to view the menu and waters to drink. He then asked "well are y'all going to drink the waters cause most people don't drink it" then proceeded to say that they close at the 10 so we need to order our drinks. Really glad I decided to visit this location on a Saturday evening. The restaurant offers ladies their first alcoholic beverage for Free on Saturday aka Ladies night. The drink was decent and strong but could have been mixed a little better so it was smoother. The decor was nice and super clean everywhere - even in the bathrooms (thankfully). A really fun DJ was there and I think I'd there every Saturday and there were plenty of places to watch the fight or sports by the bar area. I tried one of their boiled seafood platters and was happy with my waiter suggested choice of sauce flavor and heat level (I had medium which was spicy but flavorful not just hot to the point you couldn't taste anything). The food came out fast but the seafood probably would have had a little more flavor if it got to boil a little longer but it was still tasty. I look forward to going back with some friends soon. The crawfish and the sausage was mediocre, but the blue crab did not taste fresh and was also over cooked. The service was quite slow for a grand opening, considering there was only three tables. This was my first visit to this establishment. When first entering the lack of decorum stood out to no big deal. Secondly what stood out was the age of most if not all of the wait staff, which was a staff of mainly very young adults, no problem still. Now is when the issues began. The music was so loud you had to raise your voice to the person seating in conversation across from you. Then the sort of rap music with all its rude lyrics like F this and F that became too much. But just when I thought I had heard everything the song by Cardi B, WAP (Wett Ass Pussy) was being played as we were eating our meals. Went yesterday for the very first time, since I was fresh off of work and they are a few miles away from my house. I'm huge on seafood and always looking for somewhere with great flavor. I don't even bother to discuss the service upon entry, but my waitress made up for that throughout my visit. I ordered a half pound of crawfish, green mussels and crab. They brought out black mussels, but that was fixed quickly. A little too quickly, and some of the green mussels were definitely slimey and extra fishy. The sauce I ordered was juicy special, medium. The sauce is very watery and the owner told my waitress there is nothing that can be done, that's just the way it is. The crawfish are just plain disgusting. They're using frozen crawfish, and they should've let me know prior to bringing it out. Nasty. The crab were over cooked. They sticked to the side of the crab. Overall, terrible experience. Will not be going back. Oh and I had their strawberry margarita. Suppose to be their strongest drink. Don't order this drink, barely any alcohol. The waitress was nice. read more
