Telling that almost all of the 5 star reviews are from people not from ABQ. This was by far the worst NM food I've ever eaten. I had ground beef hardshell tacos and used 2 salt packets to make up for the absolute lack of seasoning in the meat, additionally the cheese and tomatoes were forgotten and there were spots where the beef was still pink. The beans were good but the rice was super crunchy and dried out. The adovada was like some chopped up pork thrown in a red sauce, not stewed in it. We found a place outside in the shade because indoors can be rather loud, or perhaps 'bright' is the polite term these days. The food was ready pretty quickly. Overall it was ok, but really not that flavorful. If you're in the area and want to check out sawmill and are int the mood for new mexican it's fine. But if you want better food at better prices I'd suggest wandering in to old town and going to one of the many new mexican restaurants there. read more

Located in Sawmill Market, great service and food served fresh and hot. It's an order at the register and then sit at the bar area or anywhere in Sawmill. We ordered the beef and potato taquitos, green chili stew and the chili bowl with chicken. Oh my goodness, the flavor of everything was so good! The green chili was amazing and the freshness of everything was delicious. The green chili stew tasted like moms homemade. The flour tortillas were so fresh and soft. The portions are also great too, I had to take the rest of my green chili bowl home and it was good even left over. Highly recommend if you want some good green chili. The menu looked good and the prices were fair. However they were out of red chili. Kind of funny for a place called 'Red and Green'. I ordered the chips and dip. It was delicious and was only $6 with a very large amount. The green chili queso was amazing. Something else I wanted to mention was that you couldn't get fountain drinks, and were recommended to walk to another place selling refillable fountain drinks. We waited in line there for a while, and there was only one lady working, who was making the food and in charge for the fountain drinks. Our food had already arrived and the line still hadn't moved. So we just went and got bottled drinks, which were more costly than the fountain drinks. Anyways, the reason the review is at 3 stars, is because one of my family members ordered a green chili chicken burrito, and they forgot the green chili? Then my other family member ordered a chicken cheese quesadilla, and paid $2 for chicken for it to be only cheese. We figured after having to ask them for things so much that they forgot, we might as well just write a review instead of try and get the $2 back. Also ordered 5 sopapillas, and they were okay, but looked more like fry bread. Went back after 40 and found they never made it and in fact lost it. We eventually got it after they went through the register. They apologized and refunded our meal. I told her that I wasn't comfortable eating it after he had done the afore mentioned, and she hurried to get a manager. I told the next employee my concerns, and he proceeded to argue with me and defend the coin by saying it was hit by the cook grill and the guys was thirsty. I then asked for my money back. The chili was in small 2 ounce containers that were not full. I asked for more red. I was told that would be extra. Most places have no trouble providing a bit extra when a customer requests it.
