I'm giving this recycle center a 5 star because they recycle cans, bottles, and glass in exchange for cash. I was frustrated how their were no more recycling centers for the cans, bottles, and glass around me. I was told by a family member about this place. I have always been coming here and will continue to do so. Really coordinated and parking is not a hassle. A guy will bring bins for you to dump your things. Each bin must be sorted out and they are weighed at the scale. You fill out a form and wait in line by the window to redeem your cash exchange. Very clean, Great business and good people, love it!

Center was clean and aptly staffed. No lines in the morning (10a Tues).

After using the "Recycle It" center in my city (Pittsburg), I appreciate this location (Martinez) quite a bit. There was no line to recycle, and no line to collect your monies, no waiting in the hot sun, the staff was helpful and kind, and no dealing with people trying to cut lines etc. I live my city and will return to that location for convenience reasons but I think this spot has it together. My only complaint is, the receipt says 1 by cans and 2 by glass. But I dropped off 1 bucket of cans and 3 buckets of glass. They said they gave me the right amount but their receipts should.leave no confusion. I won't rate them low for it cuz everything else outweighed that. Hope they aren't shady, tho. Lol

FYI, this place opens at 9:30, not 9. Yelp & Google aren't giving correct times. Just needed to get rid of a TV.

After losing faith in Craig's List over the years, I had no idea what to do with my appliances and furnishings. I also wanted my items to "give back" to humanity. So, I called Bay Area Recycle. They were extremely helpful, informative and professional. They were unable to take my furnishings, but they referred me to someone who could help (Salvation Army and Bay Area Crisis Nursery). They WERE able to take my refrigerator for $35 cash, in a timely manner-- 2 days later! They removed the appliance from the storage unit, so I did not have to do any heavy lifting. Overall, an excellent experience. Why only 4 stars, and not 5? Well, they only accepted cash; and they only take electronics and appliances. However, I want to reiterate-- these folks are wonderful! I would use them again.

They quoted me: $40 for curbside pick-up or $65 to come up one-flight of stairs and remove it from my apartment. 2 guys showed up on time and the price I signed for was the price I was quoted. Plus, they recycle as much of the mattress as they can whereas the other companies just take it to the Dump.

Nikki is such a pleasure to work with and really nice - she made the process so easy and had clear instructions. Our baby's play structure is going to be built on perfectly leveled and super safe ground thanks to the County Quarry. Only problem is looking for an affordable 10-wheeler trucking company to haul it over. We ended up with Foskett Trucking (recommended by County Quarry) because although they had a three hour minimum ($110 per hour), it was still much more affordable than other trucking companies that wanted $710-$900 total). I did a lot of research and County Quarry is the place to go for recycled base gravel, especially if you're only leveling the ground (for artificial grass, play structure, etc.). I checked prices at other places (ie Mt Diablo Landscaping to just name one), and it was $59.95 per cubic yard with $50 delivery. County Quarry is $13.75 a ton, which is much more affordable! Basically $800 less than anywhere else. Only issue I had was having to drop off a check because they don't take credit card or any payments over the phone. Still, this place beats them all. Definitely will come back for anymore backyard renovations!
