Gem! I live just a block away and have a few laundromat options in the area, but Big Wave is the one that always caught my eye because it's so well-kept and consistently clean. It may be smaller than some of the others, but the quality and care here stand out. I stopped by a few times while my in-unit washer was down, and every visit was quick, friendly, and seamless. The owner is amazing -- truly welcoming -- and his staff is just as wonderful. They're attentive, professional, and there's always someone available to answer questions or offer help. It had been at least 15-20 years since I'd used a laundromat, so having an attendant present made the whole process easy to navigate. That level of support is rare these days. If you're looking for a clean, safe, and well-run (all machines working) place to do your laundry, I absolutely recommend coming here. You'll be in great hands. read more

This is a very nice location with plenty of machines to get your laundry chore done. The lady working this morning was very helpful in getting me setup on their card system. Place is very well kept and maintained. Machines are clean. I trusted other reviews and glad I opted to come here. Working on the road like I do, I'm glad to find wonderful businesses like this. Lots and lots of various size machines to choose from: double, triple, five & eight loads. All I had was a $20 - they have a machine that changes $20's into $10's and then $10's into $5's. You can also put any denomination on one of their cards to use at the machines. My double load cost $3.59 to wash - I didn't dry. Absolutely fantastic experience. I seldom visit coin laundromats, mostly for large items. The staff here was very helpful, giving advice on detergent amounts, machine options, and more. Prices are reasonable, machines operate quickly, and they accommodate almost any load size. The biggest advantage is that the Park n' Shop is just nearby, allowing you to do your shopping while your laundry is in progress. I highly recommend using this laundromat! read more

Best experience ever! Our washing machine decided to die on a Wednesday, following my husband returning from a trip. We had multiple towels, wash cloths and all the regular day to day clothes, including what he'd worn while being out of town. The washer can't be repaired for a couple of weeks so we needed a solution. Big Wave Laundromat offers Wash and Fold services by the pound. We took in everything we had before 10am on the Thursday and they had it washed, folded and packed in a plastic bag in the hamper we brought it in with before 2pm. They even used our laundry detergent that we brought with it. I will absolutely be coming back until our washing machine is fixed and cannot say enough on how their professional service saved us in this situation! read more

Wonderful management! My first time visiting here (because my washer was broken) and it was a great experience! I had just been to another laundromat where I had not been treated courteously, and this was a HUGE difference. When I came in, the ATM wasn't working and I needed to get additional cash to finish up my loads. The manager, Chris, was very apologetic, and actually put his own cash in to cover the needed money. He also handed me a drink from his vending machine without charging me for it, because I mentioned I was thirsty but wasn't able to get the cash. As you can see from your cameras, your employee was quite rude and confrontational, which made me feel threatened and of course i responded in a negative way as well. I'm human, and while I won't allow anyone to disrespect me, I also approached her calmly to ask if she could turn on my machine. Instead of helping, she told me she didn't have to do it and didn't care if my clothes got washed or not. I've been coming to your establishment for months, and I know most of the staff who work there--they've always been great. But this particular employee doesn't seem to have any respect for the customers who spend their hard-earned money here. I've never had an issue like this before, but I won't tolerate being disrespected or spoken to in such a way. I also noticed that many of your recent reviews have been negative, so it seems I'm not the only one experiencing this kind of treatment. I believe it would be beneficial for your employees to receive some training in customer service, as a little kindness and respect can go a long way. When I asked for the manager's number, she claimed to be the manager herself, which was surprising. If that's true, I think additional training might be necessary to ensure she handles situations more professionally. Lastly, I'd suggest posting signs advising customers to contact staff directly rather than using the emergency button, especially in cases like mine where the washer was leaking. A worker Jackie took out my clothes that were washing and put somebody else's clothes in the washer before my clothes were even done washing. I had two more cycles that were next to the cycle that was running one of my clothes. so I knew my clothes did not finish the recycle that I paid for. Also, as I was waiting for a dryer, she took someone else's clothes out and I was gonna use the dryer, but she tried to tell somebody else to go and use the dryer but they ended up being very kind and let me go ahead and use the dryer since I was waiting there first. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now, and I took a couple months off, and when I came back I was so disappointed. Today I came in to do my work sheets (massage therapy) and when the wash was done they were still wet. Like , it didn't take a lot of effort to wring out water from them. I brought the attendant over to ask her why this was and all she could say was that she had just washed in those washers and she didn't have that problem. Or that maybe I had over loaded the washer. Seriously!! I said ok didn't give any fuss. When I went to dry it took me twice the time to dry. I don't know if it's under new management but this guy s shady business. The prices are higher (fine I get it, everything is gonna be higher) but poor quality. And please teach your young people for better customer service. There is nothing wrong with this laundry. Absolutely nothing. I just didn't like my experience because it seemed like everyone in town was there to wash their clothes. Every machine was being used to the point that the only one I could get my hands on was a six load machine, even though I only had two loads and it cost me 6.95 for that pleasure. Then the only dryer I could get my hands on was reserved for the laundry service lady who took pity on me and let me jump in. To honor her kindness I only dried for 10 mins which surprisingly got my clothes dry enough; still slightly damp, but enough to me to take it back to the hotel and for it the heavier clothes to dry on the hanger. This place is great though. You only pay what you need by adding money to a card you purchase. They have a vending machine that has all your laundering needs. I needed a clean bag for my washed laundry and the choices were a reusable blue cloth bag you can buy from the laundromat or a $1 trash bag from the vending machine which was all I needed. The place has free WiFi and a snack machine. This place has everything. What it doesn't have is room to spare. The customers were nice in spite of it. Nobody seemed to be hoarding the baskets or the two banks of seats, just the machines, which is understandable. I'm not going to come back though because the sea of humanity was too much for my little introverted heart, but go at a time that isn't Friday night and I'm guessing you'll have a better experience. read more

Never been here before UNTIL today because my washer gave out (Sears has ordered the part, but will take a week, or two) ... Thus, I had quite a bit of bed sheets, towels, and clothes needing washing. The owner of this place is a really great guy , in which he is helpful and nice , the staff is great. but the one youg latina girl . One time I just looked her way (it's normal to look at someone as their approaching you ) and then she had an attitude with me and I asked her is there a problem? I used the wash and fold service for the first time yesterday. My boyfriend and I were both pretty pleased with the folding and we were excited to continue to use this service but as I went through each item to put it away I found that two of my tops had big bleach stains right on the front of the chest. Both tops are unfortunately two of my favorite pieces I regularly wear and have had for a couple years so they can't be replaced. I am very disappointed as I don't see a reason these should have bleach stains. One is black. The other is pink. They both seem to be in the same general spot so I wonder if a counter had bleach on it and was not wiped down properly before items were folded on it. I'd recommend not taking anything sentimental or any of your favorite items here. I'm pretty bummed that this happened. read more

Cleanest, laundromat I've seen so far in Concord. They limit no more than 10 ppl inside at a time. Also best price I've noticed for wash and fold at $1.25 per pound!! Keep in mind though there is an additional fee if u leave your clothes longer than 24 hrs due to limited storage. If u r doing regular washing on your own I would not recommend you leave your clothes unattended but if u were the type who does, I like strolling through Grocery outlet across the street to pass the time. Be prepared during this pandemic they will not allow you to fold your clothes here, you need to take it home to fold. Not even if 1 load is done and you are waiting for another load to dry. Seems unreasonable, but I wouldn't get mad at them. They were given rules to enforce on us, they r just doing their jobs. read more
