One of the most damn fun escape room's I've ever been to. When you initially arrive, the entrance is hidden in the corner of the plaza. You will descend down a set of stairs, as if you're entering into a secret lair, appropriately setting the atmosphere. We were greeted by Hunter, who was an absolute hoot. He had us laughing already even during the tutorial, and got us really amped up for the escape room. They also have water, bathrooms, and lockers in the main room, so all of the essentials are covered. The room itself was fantastic. We did the "Lucky Duck Speakeasy." It had great puzzles, great design, and fun props. They generously give unlimited hints, ensuring that everyone will have a fun time and nobody gets frustratingly stuck on any particular puzzle. The way they give hints is really well thought out as well. They will display some text on a monitor screen inside the room, and the monitor will chime whenever there's a new message. This solves the problem that other escape rooms have when you use a walkie talkie and can't understand what the hint giver is trying to say. They may also give the hint in a form of a riddle, so you still get that "AH-HA" moment when you solve it! Super satisfying. Cypher Space review Ive done many escape rooms in the past. I brought 2 first timers and overall the experience was very fun. Thematically they start with a video and the workers there put the extra effort to make it feel real. The puzzles were pretty straight forward and when we were off track the crew was not far away to feed us some hints to keep us on pace. In my personal opinion I felt they gave us too many clues and too quickly but the two I was with really appreciated it and the quality of the puzzles and the personalized message for my birthday really brought this experience over the top. Its around 39$ for the room which I find a little pricey but I guess thats bellevue rent for ya. They truely are hard to find, no sign on the building haha read more

My Experience Level: This was my 36th room. Room: Top of the Charts Price: $35.02 per person Group Size: 3 (all with equal or more experience than me) Theming: It's supposed to be someone's office, so I suppose there isn't much reason to be very extravagant when it comes to decor. Puzzles: I would say the most challenging part was that it wasn't always obvious which items you found went for which puzzle. This room was a lot of locks, so not a lot of variety in the mechanics. Hint System: I think they have a mode where they'll give you hints to keep you on pace, but we asked for no hints unless we specifically requested them. I liked that no walkie talkies were needed and we could just request a hint out loud, which were typed for us to see in the screen that also showed the time remaining. Outcome: Escaped with about 48 seconds to spare. Barely made it! Parking/Location: We missed it our first time around as we didn't see signage on the building. I included a picture of what the building looks like. A small parking lot in front and there was some parking in the back too. Would I Return: Maybe after doing more escape rooms elsewhere. Since it wasn't as technologically impressive as other rooms, I don't have a strong urge to come back right away. read more

Our team (15 of us) chose to do one of the Hosted Puzzle Hunts (Mystery of the Missing Mare) since we were all newbies, that time slot worked for all of us, and we wanted to solve the puzzles as a team vs individually. Lemme just say...IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! :) From the start with all of us in the lobby (when instructions given & pix taken) to the end (with each group in their own breakout room with their game-master)...they provided us with a fun, often comical, wonderful team-building activity! Each breakout group reported the same experience...the game-master was fun and engaging, and the puzzles were just difficult enough for us to work together to solve while laughing the whole way through! We do plan to schedule another one now that we have a better idea of what to expect...this time probably the virtual room, now that we're "seasoned". :) I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the AMAZING customer service provided by these folks. I worked with Giorgio on scheduling all the event details, and he was a dream...also as a game-master, I must add! We also had some feedback on how to make the experience a bit better for folks in the future, and they have taken it and ran with it...always looking to improve for their customers! Overall, we were impressed and will be back for more...and looking forward to the other options they have to offer, including those for LARGE groups! If you're looking for an escape room on the Eastside, seriously consider booking one with Reality Break Escapes. Not only are their rooms expertly laid out and challenging, the owner and staff are great and personable. The rooms are well thought out and creative. We definitely needed clues and hints from the staff to finish the rooms considering the age ranges we had. Thank you Tatia for clues that helped us but didn't give too much away. We've done the scavenger hunt in the city, Speakeasy room, and the CypherSpace room. The Scavenger hunt was done with a group ages 8-40 yrs old, Speakeasy with 13 year olds, and CypherSpace with 10-40 yrs old. Definitely come early enough to locate parking and the facility (follow their instructions online before coming so you park in the appropriate place during the week). If you run into a hiccup with your experience as we did on our last escape room, definitely reach out to the business owner. Brenda promptly responded to my feedback via email and a telephone call and really tried to figure out what went wrong and how to resolve it. She offered a solution without our prompting which shows she really cares that her customers' have a wonderful and memorable experience. My friends and I love escape rooms and we had such a great time at Reality Brake Escapes. We've been to several escape rooms in the past, and this is hands down one of the best! There were four of us in our group and we did the Cypherspace room. It was a little challenging, but not too difficult. There have been several times, where we've been to escape rooms and the puzzles don't make sense, but these did! They were awesome. And our game master was the best! He gave us hints when he saw we were stuck and helped us out when we needed it. And we even managed to solve the room with seconds to go. I took my team to reality break for an event. We booked out two of the rooms for two escapes one after the other. We had a great time. Reality Break are in a basement in downtown Bellevue behind a slightly hard to find door, but we all found it pretty easily. There was easy parking nearby for all our cars. The staff were friendly and helpful - both in advance as we set up to do the rooms with 1 more person than usual, and on site on the day. Our group consisted of a couple of folks who had done escape rooms before, and several who had not. I have more experience, but I also tried to step back a bit and ensure my team got a chance to play. We did two rooms. The first was Lucky Duck Speakeasy, which they describe as more straightforward. This was a well-designed fun experience that took our group almost the full hour and which we did complete. It took folks a while to get into the swing of things, but they were pretty effective and the puzzles were well-designed and fun. The final puzzle was well-structured and made sense. The puzzles were quite well themed, but I confess I don't really care much about theming. Great. Next we did Cypherspace. This is a sci fi scenario, supposed to be a bit harder. The group got very stuck early in this room, and the staff were hinting us (without being asked, their standard policy) to help move forward, and eventually things unblocked and we completed the whole room just in time. I thought that the puzzle design on the thing we were stuck on was a bit fiddly, but again this room was well-designed, interesting and fun. I thought Lucky Duck was a bit better. Note that my preference is no hints until I ask, but my group were beginners so we did this their preferred way (with light guidance). That worked well. If you are more serious, you should request no hints. All, we had a great time and I would strongly recommend this to folks looking for a fun escape room experience. read more

We played the virtual version of Cypherspace by Reality Break Escape. I personally think this is one of their best rooms when it comes to immersiveness. The room matches really well with the theme. It was exceptionally supported by superb lighting. There were a number of super creative puzzles that I've never done before (98 rooms under my belt now) that would have been really fun to play them in person. My wife and I did our first escape room here and are now completely hooked. We did the Speakeasy room and the fun we had with it exceeded our expectations (spoilers caused by vacuum cleaners tripping circuit breakers notwithstanding). The staff (aka owners) were friendly, enthusiastic, and good-humored and it made us feel like we were being guided through an experience rather than just playing a game. I really appreciate that they set their scheduling up to allow for strangers to play together, rather than requiring up front parties of 4 or 6 or 8 or something. I would highly recommend Reality Break Escapes as an option for first or second timers or groups with children. The puzzles will make you think, and the environment and setup is very beginner friendly. The staff / owners are very engaging, and you can tell they put a lot of love into everything. The room we did felt a little bare with all the puzzles on the walls and nothing in the middle of the room. (There was a large clue on the whole floor, so it wasn't exactly wasted space. It just felt a little bare.) The puzzles themselves were pretty fun, though aside from sometimes needing a couple different brains to figure out the tougher clues it didn't seem like a large group was really necessary.
